Side eyeing the person who went into my comments, proved my point about some people just ignoring the bs this guy is pulling, and asked me why i "care what's in the presidents pants so much"...

YES!! I will pass away if Goldie (calling blond boy Goldie for simplicity) is Vanessa's sibling IT'D MAKE SO MUCH SENSE.

Goldie is unnaturally singled out in the Movie. From being the only one to talk, to being the only one to leave, to being Golden Freddy, to his face being taped onto the picture, to being the one William reaches out to at the end and being the one to close the door on him.

He's singled out SO MUCH in it that's its uncanny. Cassidy is singled out in the games, but they're NEVER singled out to that extent. They're NOT setting him up to be "just another dead kid" and if they are then i am going to be VERY disappointed.

It would make so much sense for him to be an Afton. It'd explain some of Vanessa's fear of William too (beyond him just being awful in every form of the word).

Vanessa is VERY Michael Afton (maybe a little Elizabeth too, but yk), and Goldie feels pretty TOYSNHK-ie (maybe Andrew-ie or Cassidy-ish if you wanna go down the specifics route).

Goldie feels like a weird reverse Elizabeth to me. He helps William because he HATES William, not because he wants his approval or love. I doubt he knew EXACTLY what would happen when he tricked Mike into "giving" him and the other MCI Abbey, but I DO think he knew Mike would do anything to get Abbey back.

Trick Mike, lure Abbey. Mike will go to get Abbey back, William will know which will lure him to the Pizzeria to try to kill them. The hope was probably that Abbey and Mike would stop William, and that William would die.

I doubt that he KNEW Vanessa would be there, or what would happen EXACTLY, but a lot of it felt planned to me, like Goldie had an idea of what would happen, that if he did what William wanted it'd lead to Williams death.

Or yk maybe I'm crazy because that's what I would do lol.

Movie Gregory would be amazing too. Like yes PLEASE give me movie Gregory I love him he's my son and I want to see more of him because he's a cool character. I'd also be interesting to see how he'd be adapted into the Movies. :3

Okay, I’m just going to say it.

Vanessa in the movie universe NEEDS a sibling or siblings. And I’m starting to think it’s very much so possible, because Charlotte Emily is going to be in the movie universe and probably Jeremy Fitzgerald too(??) but whose to say how many game characters their going to bring to the movie universe? We could have one of the game Afton kids be a sibling to Vanessa in the movies. Which I would honestly love! Though if we don’t necessarily bring in a game Afton kid/s to be her sibling. I want it to be The Blonde Boy- who I will be calling Cassidy. Like come on, Cassidy’s actor had to dye his hair to be blonde in the movie.. and who else is blonde? Vanessa. I get that people may say, “Oh, maybe he had to dye his hair blonde because he possesses Golden Freddy!” Which is a somewhat valid argument.. I guess. But it would just make so much sense for Cassidy to be an Afton in this. He’s definitely more aware than the others, and probably holds a much more personal resentment against William. He also seems to be a mix of Elizabeth Afton and The Crying Child while Vanessa seems to be our Micheal Afton. Just sayin’ that it could have a lot of potential and also make a ton of sense.

There’s also another option.. bringing Gregory into the movie universe to be Vanessa’s hypothetical little brother (biological or not). That would also be quite the good route to go with.

I'd argue that Cassidy and Charlie don't get very much either, BUT that's a rant for a separate post. The point here is that yes. I agree.

FNaF has a MAJOR problem with just... making characters to help move the plot forward then throw out. The MCI and DCI are the most major examples of course.

They exist so the main plot can happen, and they don't do anything else major after that, but even FNaFs more developed characters get this treatment.

We get a weird amount of information on Michael Brooks from the Silver Eyes Trilogy only for him to be... thrown out right after. Seriously, we get this kids FULL name, appearance, parents names, goal, animatronic he possesses, friends, etc, only for him to not be used again after the Silver Eyes Trilogy. (hes maybe used again in the movie but my point still stands)

Or ANDREW on the opposite side of the spectrum. He just shows up out of nowhere to be at LEAST a TOYNSHK stand in (or maybe TOYSNHK himself, not gonna argue over that here). We know nothing beyond "alligator mask and curly black hair". We get to know a little before they throw him out of the story and he never comes up again.

For modern FNaF, I do think Steel Wool WANTS to treat the characters better, Gregory and Cassie are good characters and I really like them, but game Vanessa got cut so much she hardly feels like a character at times (they butchered my girl...).

Like I know the movie gets hate for the characters being "shallow", but i got a better grasp of movie Vanessas personality in the first movie than i have on game Vanessas personality. (mostly to the fault of me not understanding anything in Security Breach probably, but also those damn cuts.)

I agree with the idea that there should've been short stories for all of the MCI. Fazbear's Frights is like a collection of creepypastas and I love it for that, but I'd rather have a story about Gabriel or Jeremy then a story about Matpat x Springtrap mpreg or fazgoo.

Like most of the minor books characters get more development than the games characters, that's insane. Why do we know that Heather Anders from The New Kid has two little sisters, but not what Fritz's last name is?

The only characters with development are Elizabeth/Circus Baby (until they massacred her in Pizza Sim...), Michael, and William. Everyone else is there ONLY for the plot, and even then these 3 are usually only there for the plot too.

FNaF makes too many characters to fill roles other characters can (I love you Andrew but at least 5 other characters could've took your role and it would've made more sense), and then throw them out because the plot doesn't need them anymore.

I love FNaF SO MUCH, always will, but it has a massive problem with "making characters for the plot because why not". Like at least give the poor DCI names come on. Glad it's getting better though, even if Vanessa got butchered in the cuts...

Something that really bothers me with FNaF is how Scott doesn't really develop many of the MCI kids properly, it's honestly kind of upsetting, everyone but Susie feels like a stepping stone of a character.

I wish Scott would give grace to the MCI kids and hell maybe even these DCI kids that probably exist but we don't even know for sure?? it just feels depressing how a lot of the MCI are treated in the series, I really wish they were all given motivations, goals and personality like Charlie and Cassidy in the logbook.

I honestly think Scott should've written short stories about every MCI victim, like I want to know about these kid's lives before death and actually show that these kids were living breathing human beings and not just a number.

Scott kind of has an issue with making nearly all of his characters plot devices for the story, they kinda just go from a to b with nothing in between a lot of the times.

Something I really enjoy about Steel Wool is that they seemingly actually want to develop their characters, like Vanny had so much content until it was cut, Gregory and Cassie have a lot of character and I don't know if thats SW or Scott or both, but I enjoy it so much more and actually care about these characters because there's something to care about! I just wish it was the case for the MCI kids aswell

I think about how the families in FNaF felt losing their kids and siblings and friends a lot.

I also think about how Sammy felt losing Charlie and having his dad go crazy a lot.

AU lore Sammy fully believes Henry was the killer and was terrified his dad would find and kill him after his mom(Caroline) took him from Henry.

He put a lot of trust and faith in William because he felt like the only safe person during Henry's spiral since Caroline hadn't gotten custody of him yet. He'd be destroyed if he ever found out William had been the one who killed his sister.

Less sad fun AU fact, Charlie's favorite color is red and Sammy's favorite color is green!! :3

My CH are tied to their respective countries in a number of manners, so I like to make my America a bit more in line with the average American: rambunctious, loud, opinionated, and nervous about how others perceive him.

Lately, because of the strife between the government and the people, he doesn’t get much sleep. Which makes him snippy. Which doesn’t help his new reputation.

Idk, maybe it’s just the American in me talking but I really want to believe that America isn’t its government, but its people lmao.

He’s a decent guy but he is stressed the fuck out and is desperately craving for any scraps of approval now that his well has run dry. After losing his main competitor (Soviet), he grew complacent and stagnant, not knowing what to do now that his Soviet is gone. Then 9/11 happened which gave him something to focus on, but it wasn’t the same. Pretty much been a downward spiral since then. Now, instead of being a suave pop culture icon, he’s kind of just retreated in to himself. America just… doesn’t know what to do with himself without competition.
