If my brain wasn't running on dial up this would be my constant mood.

The Beginning part 6

Kaaru pants as she stops at a tree, the sun starting to rise.

“Ya had ta choose the largest hill.” She says as Jesse plops down beside her. 

She sits down and sighs, Jesse curled up in the serape to hide from the rising sun.

“Yeah yeah. I’m tired.” He groans. 

She huffs and lays down, tired too. 

“Ya want more story?” She asks and he nods with a little groan.

~storytime~

Hanzo hums as he thinks of questions that may be able to be asked of the girl without screwing with the timeline. 

“Which language were you brought up in? Japanese or English?” Mccree asks and she looks away.

“Neither actually. My first language is ASL.” She says as Toby licks her cheek. 

“What? Why?” Hanzo asks, confused why they would do that and not teach her to speak their languages.

“Y-You’ll find out once I’m born.” She says and they nod. “Any other questions?” 

“How old are you?” Hanzo asks.

“Almost 16. I think. Time is a little funny for me.” She says as Toby hops down and tugs her pant leg of her pajamas. “And it’s my bedtime. Good night you two. I’ll see you and your younger doubles from 15 ish years ago in the morning.” She says, waving to the highly confused men as Toby waddles behind her.  

They go to bed, curious what she meant by younger doubles and come morning people are running around freaking out. 

Except for the girl. She looks absolutely calm and collected, like she expected it to happen.

“Hey kid, what’s goin on?” Mccree asks, yawning as he puts on his prosthetic arm for the day, having taken it off so he wouldn’t get Hanzo cold. 

“New arrivals. 22 year old Jesse Mccree and 23 year old Hanzo Shimada. They’re both passed out from the sudden time jump in the infirmary.” She shrugs. 

“What are ya talkin about? I’m 37 and very much awake.” He says and she laughs. 

“Sorry no but they’re your younger self, being brought here by the major time table event that’s going to happen. It’s a fixed point in time and enable for it to work 2 versions of the people that will be majorly affected within the past and future 20 years will come and be put through an experiment they won’t remember to create the thing that will change the course of their present versions lives forever.” She says and Hanzo frowns at her, wearing a white kimono coincidently. 

“So you’re saying you brought them here.” He says and she nods. 

“Pretty much. Let’s go see em! I’ve only visited the past twice and both times you two acted like total cheese balls.” She smiles before making a mad dash to the infirmary.

“Total… cheese balls?” Hanzo asks, assuming it’s something that Mccree would say. 

“Don’t look at me like that Han.” Mccree frowns as they follow the girl to the infirmary. 

“Like what?” Genji asks, butting into the conversation as he starts to walk with them.

“Like I’m you.” Mccree says and walks faster as the doors to the infirmary are opened by the girl.

“Agent Mcada recognized. Access granted.” Athena chimes and Mccree and Genji stop dead in their tracks.

“What’s wrong?” Hanzo questions. 

“Agent Mcada was a friend of ours in BlackWatch. But she died during a raid.” Mccree shakes his head. 

“Incorrect my fine gentlemen! Now hurry yer butts up!” She says, poking her head out of the door. 

The three men go in, only to find a 23 year old man, who looks identical to how Hanzo did, yelling at a 22 year old man, who is identical to how Mccree did, in japanese, using foul language and hitting the younger with a hospital pillow.

The girl interjects and the young Mccree hugs her. 

“Mcada! How’s my time travelin future daughter doin?” He smiles widely. 

“Oh ya know, just a little older and a whole lot more grounded.” She smiles before the young Hanzo yanks her away from Mccree.

~reality~ 

Kaaru laughs a bit at her story before realising Jesse is already asleep. She smiles and turns over and dozes off herself with one final goodnight to the boy.

The posting schedule will be moving to every other Sunday because that's the only days I'm not busy with non housework and can sit down and edit the chapters to posting quality.

I'm going on hiatus.

Life has been really kicking my ass and I need to cut back on my work load. I won't be able to post Chapter 13 this Sunday and I'll have to put off the book for a while longer.

Like last time I'll give like, a few days notice before I come back and post again.

Sorry guys but I just can't handle it anymore.

For today, Kaaru in Hogwarts because spoopy time.

Also, later on I'll be posting her story and this may or may not tie into it. I dont know yet. And if ya'll dont mind:

BwL! keeps quiet as he walks with the others of the exploration, staying behind the others as his computer starts to categorize the others into different risk levels of being vulnerable, despite them being himself.

His Ma would be proud of him volunteering and not immediately hiding in the broken ship and breaking down. He still feels like running away but he's around other kids so he can't show his weakness and insecurities.

To keep calm, he holds onto a keychain he keeps in his pocket that his Ma made him. It's a mini Bonnie Bunny plush only about 3 inches tall that he can squeeze in his right hand and not twinge his scar to the point it gives him phantom pains of his missing finger.

He just hopes it's not too dark...

Meeting of the Gregs

Chapter 5

The sea breeze made the trees rustle as the group chatted, the waves lapping at the nearby sand making a relaxing backdrop to the hubbub as a lone seagull eyed the group, eager to swoop in if food was brought out.

RayB's question of what the first few people had found was what prompted Aftermath to finally reply, having been silent when Viva was here. The bags under his eyes enough to tell the others he had little sleep.

"Well, I'm pretty sure myself and slumber were here first." He said as D and T slapped each other to try see if they were dreaming, prompting a few Gregory's to move away from them. "....anyway, all I found out is this island is just super small. You can see the ocean on the other side just through those trees." He mentioned, pointing a thumb behind him.

Slumber piped up. "Yeah, I checked out foxy's ship. Or at least I think its foxy's. Its called Foxy's Booty." Slumber explained, pointing to the crooked nameplate above the door as a few of the Gregorys chuckled at the name. "It's got some cool stuff inside, like a hook and a pirate coat, so it might have some useful stuff inside, but myself and beacon didn't get much of a chance to explore before everyone else arrived." Slumber explained, glad to be able to take his mind off of things.

Rbay looked over the ship. It wasn't particularly big, but it was clear it had been here for a while, with several holes in the Hull. The door in the side looked like it had probably been used to haul cargo inside at a port. He sighed.

"OK... we should all eat and then try figure out if there's anything we can use around here. Aftermath, can you share your supplies?" The younger Gregory nodded, though he looked a bit apprehensive. "Once everyone has eaten, we should split into two groups. One group will explore the ship and look for anything useful. The other should take a walk along the beach and see if anything has washed up." He explained as cans of fizzy faz were quickly opened and drunk.

Nightmare had been silent till now but piped up. "Well... I got my flashlight. Wouldn't it be better if I helped explore the ship?" He asked, surprising Rbay. "That'd be good, we need to allocate who goes where by items and skills really."

D&T stopped whispering to each other to interrupt. "What about some of us setting up a camp?" Asked D, "If someone gets hurt, we need to know where we can heal up."

Rbay nodded, glancing up at the sky. The sun was pretty high, but having somewhere to rest was a good idea. "Alright. D, T, you two help in camp with..... Beacon and Puppet." Rbay continued.

HiWfi interrupted. "Hey, I'm all up for going on the explore team, but why are you taking charge? I can lead too you know." He asked with a frown. Rbay had been expecting this, he knew how quickly he'd gotten annoyed when he was their age. "Perfect. You feel like leading the exploration team?" He asked, as HiWfi looked happy for a moment, then tried to hide it. "I mean....sure, no sweat." He replied, his eyes glinting.

Aftermath raised his hand. "So.... slumber and beacon should probably keep checking the ship as they already explored a bit. I'd like to stay in the camp group as I'm in charge of the food I guess. Oh, and Uf! Would be best to be at camp with their communications watch." Aftermath said, stifling a yawn.

BwL! had tilted his head slightly as he pondered his options. "I'd like to volunteer for exploring. If we find anything heavy, I'm able to assist in bringing it back." They reasoned, which made Rbay nod.

"While I do agree with you about Slumber, Beacon and yourself Aftermath, Uf! Should be exploration so they can call for help if something goes wrong. Also, the ability to locate useful items is better for that." Rbay explained, causing the group to talk amongst themselves.
