Hey Omni!! Happy Friday! This is kind of going off that F9 mini fic you posted π€ But what if that's how Dom found out about his family coming out! Either walking in on them or having a Shaw bring it up! Rowen, Rattie, Shobbs. Can you imagine! Practically no one in his family is straight ππ₯°π₯°πππ
Happy Friday friend! I love this! It's just too funny to think that Dom just doesn't know everyone around him isn't straight π€£

Placing the plate of burgers done on the table, Dom glanced over at Ramsey. She had her hair in two puffballs and a giant smile on her face. She had sat down a while ago, texting up a storm and laughing whenever she got a response
Dom hadn't seen her smile that much before, maybe only when she succeeded in hacking into someone with ease
"Whoever you're texting must be great." Dom smirked at Ramsey, who snapped her head up and gave him a shy smile
"Yeah, she is."
Dom raised an eyebrow
"We've been talking for a few weeks now, and um..." Ramsey looked away, suddenly embarrassed
"What?"
"I'm thinking about asking her out." Ramsey mumbled
Dom blinked. He hadn't known Ramsey even liked women. Maybe that explained why she hadn't shown any interest in Roman or Tej
"Go for it." Dom told her
"Really?" Ramsey looked up at him with hopeful eyes. "Do you think she'll say yes?"
"She'd be stupid not to." Dom smiled at her and was glad to see Ramsey's large smile in return as her thumbs flew over her phone
He wasn't expecting Ramsey's new girlfriend to be Hattie Shaw when they showed up a month later

When Deckard had started bringing his little brother and sister around to the family bbqs, Dom hadn't been the happiest to see Owen
Luckily, the middle Shaw was great with the kids and apologized profusely to Mia. It had been hilarious to see her slap him and demand he do the dishes by himself
What Dom hadn't expected was Roman to start acting strange whenever Owen got close to him
There wasn't much bad blood between them. Roman had barely interacted with Owen since their crew had tried to take him down. So, why was Roman nervous around him?
After several cookouts, Dom noticed that both Owen and Roman had disappeared. Suspicious, Dom had gone in search of the two just in case Owen did something to Roman
What be wasn't expecting was Owent to be sitting on Roman's lap, kissing him with intense passion
"Ahem." Dom cleared his throat and smirked when he saw Roman jerk so badly, he smashed his and Owen's noses together
"Ro!" Owen hissed
"Sorry!" Roman said quietly but sent a sheepish look towards Dom
Shaking his head, Dom looked at them pointedly
"If any of the kids ask, you two get to give the birds and the bees talk."
With that, Dom turned on his heel and left the two men
He never would have guessed Roman was interested in guys

Looking around Luke's backyard, Dom was a bit surprised by all the food that was already set up on the large picnic table. Everything looked amazing
There was no way Luke had done this himself
"Looks great, Hobbs." Dom nodded in appreciation
"Thanks. But I have to say, it's mostly all because of Deckard."
"Deckard?" Dom frowned and looked at the other man. Everyone else was milling around and taking their seats at the table. He could see out of the corner of his eye Baby Brian trying to sit on two at once, mostly likely trying to save him a seat
"Yeah. Ever since he moved in, he's really been sprucing up the place. And cooking everything. The man could have been a professional chef."
"Really." Dom said and saw Deckard step out of the back door, holding yet another plate of food
Deckard was smiling widely as he greeted everyone. And if Dom looked closely enough, he could see a small gold ring on his finger
Glancing to Luke, Dom saw an identical ring
Was nobody in his family straight?

I hope you enjoyed friend!
(Head?)Canon: Owen will always bring up him being thrown out of a plane into a discussion, no matter what said discussion is about. *Letty and Owen arguing about something ridiculous* Owen: "yeah well did you know I got thrown out of a plane?" Letty: "I was thrown out of a tank!" Owen: "Well not everything's about you!" The possibilities are endless!

The possibilities are endless!! I absolutely love this headcanon friend!
I can absolutely see Owen doing this to either guilt trip the Toretto crew, or just brag that he survived being thrown out of a plane
I can see a few scenarios with this
1. When Hattie joins the crew for a mission, she listens to them talk and Owen brings it up
"You know I got thrown out of a plane, right?"
"Yes, Shaw, we know. We were there-"
"Yeah," Hattie interrupts, not looking up from whatever she's doing. "I was the one who pushed you."
Owen just glares at her but the crew are all like π³ WHAT?! YOU WERE THROWN OUT OF TWO PLANES?!
2. When Owen brings it up, Letty always mentions the tank, but eventually everyone starts to add things
-Roman: "I was pushed out a plane too!"
-Brian: "I've been forced to jump off a building!"
-Luke: "I had to jump out of a building!"
This goes on for a while, leaving Owen pouting because the attention is no longer on him

Thanks for the headcanon friend! I love it!
Luke, to Deckard: Tell her.
Deckard, to Sam: I apologize for saying βfuckβ earlier.
Sam: You just said it again.
Deckard: I am not a role model.
Sam: Obviously.
Okay, the one thing Iβm confused about because of the new F9 trailer. Dom and Mia are siblings, right? So unless Mia or Donβs brother are half siblings, they should be related....what do you think?
Oooookay buckle up because this answer is going to be longer than you expected because BOY HOWDY do I have some thoughts about the trailer and also about Domβs dynamic in the series in general.Β
Iβm going to put it under the cut because.. because itβs super long because I care way more about these movies than I should.Β

Actually my favorite replacement for both 'kill myself' jokes and jokes about reacting violently to things/people that upset me is "I'm going to end up on the news" like it's versatile, it's vague, it's not going to get me in trouble with any censors or websites that take joke threats seriously, it's family friendly while still getting the point across, what's not to love???
Shaw Brothers; The fate of the furious | Dynasty.
Iβm sorry, I think Iβm obsessed with this movie.
Dazai to Odasaku about Akutagawa: "If I'd left him to his own devices, he would've ended up a slave to his own powers until he destroyed himself."
Hey hi what does that mean???
I'm probably way overthinking it but it just reminded me of when I first started my watch of the anime and we get to the opening scene with Akutagawa and Rashoumon (I can't find the exact scene but here's something similar from DA)
He implies he's not attacking with her so much as he's reining her in from devouring everything - and originally I thought, hey, that's a cool premise. It seems like there's something odd about this guy's ability; he's talking about it like it's almost sentient.
But then it didn't really get brought up again so I kind of forgot about it.
And sure maybe all the above line means is that his ability is naturally attuned to violence and he could grow more bloodthirsty, etc - but if that's the case, why bring him into the mafia?
So I started thinking about Dead Apple (which I really need to rewatch...) and how there was this focus on Atsushi as the "antithesis" of special abilities. And I just kind of thought about that because... wouldn't that title go to Dazai...?
But then it's stated that Atsushi's claws can cut through any ability... including Rashoumon (he also has some connection to the Book which absolutely must be related somehow but I'm skipping over that for the purposes of this post). Dazai describes Akutagawa as "a sword without a sheath". Is Atsushi part of the sheath? It would make a degree of sense: after all, we get a sharp reminder in the movie of how imperative it is that Dazai nullifies Chuuya's ability - it is literally needed to keep Arahabaki in check.
But why such a focus on self-destruction and sheathing... unless there really is something dangerous that needs to be reined in? That needs to be controlled.
I think about the dragon in Dead Apple called the "chaos of all special abilities".
I think about how the tiger and dragon are another representation of yin and yang. I think about how Atsushi and Akutagawa so clearly have that yin-yang dynamic. I think about how Rashoumon very well has the appearance of a hungry snake - or a dragon.
I think about how the focal point of an entire altered timeline was the prevention of Akutagawa from joining the mafia and the taking of his sister. And then I wonder why Akutagawa always seems to factor into Dazai's plans.
I think there's something special about Akutagawa's ability.
I think that something special, whatever it is, is very dangerous - more than we know.
Dazai IS a fucking mood
This just makes Alastor more likeable for me, it makes me be able to sympathize with him, understand him more, yes, he's a demon, but he's also a human, if you get what I'm saying. He's not just a sadistic freak. He feels emotions, he breaks character, and he has weaknesses, all like humans do. Like every character in Hazbin. I can't imagine how weak he felt in that scene when he was almost about to die, having barely escaped. He is craving freedom. He wants it oh so bad that he's going insane. Beautifully written character.
your place or mine?
I got a haircut!!!
