From what I remember Disney never touched Thumbelina, although there is a Don Bluth production.

A story that I love but that was never touched is the one of “Snowhite and Redrose”. It’s a tale of two sisters that live with their caring mother at the edge of the forest. They are so kind and lively that they befriend every animal in the forest, even a talking bear that they meet during winter. During the story they have disastrous meetings with an evil and greedy gnome, but I’ll let you read the rest of the story, I genuinely like it and don’t wanna make spoilers.

It has an happy ending, a Beauty and the Beast vibe and a lot of space if you want to integrate more fae/magic elements. Sorry if it’s confusing, English is not my first language.

okay so for mayyyybe a hypothetical OC-related project; are there any fairy/folk tales, ballets and similar that anybody is earnestly surprised Disney has basically never touched for movie adaptations? Or stories the company are just unlikely to play with? I might or might not be working on an "alternate princess lineup" from movies and a company (and been sharing the progress among personal friends).

Really if anybody has some suggestions/ideas it'd be deeply appreciated. I got about 5 (6, technically?) atm so it'd be nice to have a few more for the back pocket ^^;
