catfrin moment
this post was inspired by @prism-empurress post here
So there's this thing my cat does, where when you're sleeping, he'll jump on you and demand pets while pawing at your face and meowing. I'm imagining Siffrin doing something similar to Isabeau. "Hey. Hey." -bap bap bap- "Hold me."
Siffrin and Bonnie :) They're prolly gonna go take them somewhere to get ker-pranked
Hello I hope this post helps for why people think Marinette is a stalker.
1. The reason why Marinette knowing Adrien entire schedule was seen as stalker-ish is that Adrien never told Marinette his schedule. So it’s implied that the only reason why she knows that is because she stalked him. Not only that but she also made an entire physical chart of his schedule. It’s different if you’re really close friends with someone, and by proxy by being around them so much you know their schedule. Because in the early seasons Marinette and Adrien weren’t very close friends yet. Adrien had the same level of friendliness towards Marinette to everyone else in his class at that time.
2. Yes, her sneaking into his house without his knowledge or consent is very much stalker-ish.
3. Those pictures that you showed look more like sneaking to me. Granted I don’t remember the context behind these so maybe they actually are stalking.
4. Yes, her stealing Adrien’s phone without his knowledge or consent is seen as very stalker-ish. Granted I’ll give it to you that her reasons for why she was stealing Adrien’s phone came from a very innocent place. In that she just wanted to delete an embarrassing voice message she left to Adrien.
5. I will agree with you that the puppeteer 2 scene wasn’t stalker like behavior, but it is something completely different for why people don’t like Marinette in general. Is that she has a very possessive behavior for Adrien despite them not actually being a couple. And that puppeteer 2 scene kind of highlighted that for people.
6. Her age she sort of doesn’t matter in this situation. It’s one thing if she’s doing all of this and the narrative frames this behavior as really and something you shouldn’t do. But it’s another when the narrative frames this as a positive thing to do. And that’s really the main issue people have with this. Is that Marinette has done a lot of bad things but she has face little to no consequences. Like back to the phone thing, it’s whatever if Marinette doesn’t get in trouble for stealing, but it’s different when she is actively rewarded for stealing (I.e. going to the movies with Adrien). I’m okay with Marinette having these negative traits if the narrative also acknowledges that. Because these traits shouldn’t shown to children and frame them positively because that’s grossly negligent.
I hope this helps. If this post genuinely came off as aggressive I’m really sorry for that. That wasn’t my intention. There’s a lot more reasons why people see Marinette as a stalker. But I think this is enough and also I would be here for a while.
As someone who loves all the children in Miraculous with my whole heart...
Is it cause she has his schedule?
Listen ,
I know what my best friend is doing 24/7 ,infact without her telling me..
She's probably having her afternoon sleep rn...
My anxious self have calendars for like literally everything..
Am I a stalker for that.?
Is it because she tried sneaking into his house (lmao)?
So this is also stalking .. right?
Is it beacuse she stole his phone once?
Listen,I once broke my cousin's wooden toy(you know ,those monkeys that move when you twist the handle?)
Took it,fixed it(it was really easy ,you just had to put the handle back in the hole),and put it back
(to this day she doesn't knows about it)
Will I be considered a thief for it?
Is it cause of the puppeteer scene?
,she was just trying to practice her confession, she had no idea he was real ...how the heck is that stalking??.
Look,I have seen literal stalkers in news several times, she isn't one.
take out my heart that beats in your chest
That being selfish is sometimes useful but you can fuck up a lot of peoples lives
(inspired by those “spoil the ending of your favorite game/movie/book but with no context” posts)
“No”
"Do you know something?"
