An Underrated Alex Line is when Carlos comes into the garage ep1 and asks Julie if her ghost friend is hideous and Alex laughs, looks at Reggie, and says "He can see you."

The best friend/sibling energy is so strong and it makes me laugh every time

a hard pill to swallow: if an audience can pick up on where the story is going, it’s a good story.

now or never is about doing things without fear and staying true to who you are. now or never is about how you need to live each day like it’s your last and follow your dreams. wake up is about coming into yourself and finding yourself again. it’s about using your pain, and taking it and using it as motivation to follow your dreams, and stepping into the light and out of the dark.

now or never is sung by sunset curve, who were each others family, even though they weren’t related. wake up is a letter from julie’s mom to her, and they are a family. these songs are about being true to yourself, and dreaming at their core. they’re sung by two families, first and foremost.

and that’s what julie and the phantoms is about. being who you are, and dreaming, it’s a show about family.

Yeah maybe I am too old to be watching kids’ shows but many shows made for adults rely on sex and shock value for ratings whereas kids’ shows have to rely on things like artistry, plot, characters, world building, and teaching moral lessons so I don’t think you have a right to judge me

"how are you doing?" my emotional dependency on a kids show gets stronger with every passing day

Carrie Wilson’s character redemption arc

let me rant. Carrie had/has a bad relationship with her mom, and that definitely had an impact between her feud with Julie; her being raised by a famous father definitely affected her in some (many) ways and gave her this pressure and obligation to be a performer, be the lead singer in her band, be successful and have ‘all eyes on her’; her relationship with Nick was actually comforting to her even thought she was always mean to him, because she doesn’t have friends besides the girls of Dirty Candy (which actually may seem not too close with her, since the only person we see Carrie hanging out with out of the band and school is Nick) and now that she’s broken up with him (probably for the 13th time but this time is more serious since Nick chased after Julie) she’s definitely more sad because now she really has no one else; she DESPERATELY wants to be friends again with Julie and Flynn (and I really love this theory the fandom created of her and Flynn having some past or future story out there) but now she sees it even more far and complicated since the arrival of this ‘hologram band’ and it just saddens her even more; LISTEN TO ME IN THIS ONE OKAY i believe she even wrote “All Eyes On Me” as a cry for help, just look at the lyrics from that perspective it’s actually terrifying (i know this sounds too deep and dramatic lol, please forgive me i’m just so invested in this type of characters i can’t help it); she has dealt with her father’s emotional trauma HER WHOLE LIFE i mean C’MON !! (not blaming Bobby, i believe he’s also a good person); and last but not least, it is really tough to see her past best friend performing with a band that makes her HAPPY. she sees Julie so happy and shinning and having all these support —from friends and parents— she just can’t help but feel sad not only because she wished that was her case, but more mad to herself because she knows she wasn’t there for Julie when she needed it and now she can’t show her support because they’re friendship’s supposed to be over.

me: carrie never had a good connection to her mother. in fact, rose was her mother figure. carrie’s real mom left due to her finding out about trevor’s past. and trevor never told carrie the real reason why her mom left, and carrie thought it was because of herself. when rose died, carrie was still feeling guilty/sad about her mom but she never brought it up around julie, because her mother was still alive and julie’s wasn’t. so i think that’s why they stopped being friends. carrie needed someone to talk to, and she didn’t think julie or flynn was that someone.

seriously! I’m just so freaking curious. what is it?!!?! it obviously isn’t a phone or something technical related.

the thing is, he ALWAYS carries it (except when he plays), and he carries it literally EVERYWHERE!! it’s always with him! SO WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT? WHY? what’s in there that his been carrying ever since we know him?!

ALSO!!!! I DON’T THINK HE KEEPS HIS DRUM STICKS IN THERE. firstly because the bag doesn’t seem that large for them to fit, and I don’t know if I’m just being desperate, but in here you can see how he has them out with him. it’ll just be kinda weird if he holds his drum sticks in there, but if THAT’S THE CASE, then I’d like to believe IT ISN’T THE ONLY THING HE CARRIES IN HIS WAIST BAG!!!

luke: *becomes aggressively italian when julie doesnt pick up the phone*

i love that it’s implied that the boys’ love for julie is stronger than caleb’s evil, manipulative powers and that’s how they escaped him. they used their love for her to temporarily save themselves, but when that wasn’t enough to stop the flickering, she saved them with her love. 

i mean, luke starts glowing right after she tells them she loves them.

this show just has the purest message and symbolism.
