An au for like me and two people but Northern Exposure au. New headcanon/fic idea:

Thanks to his parents' business background, Steve can and does absolutely ROCK the scandalous CEO look. You know the one I mean: lazily slicked back hair; dark blue suit pants with a black leather belt; tucked in white button up that's not buttoned all the way, but also just enough to not make it slutty; the dark blue blazer, fitting to the pants, either draped over his arm with his hand his pocket or hung by his fingers over his shoulder...

And we all know, that a certain blonde will not be able to look anywhere else, let alone be able to think about anything else than hot, rough, nasty office "love" for at least a week gay.

I still don't understand this scene... Dash clearly hates Danny so much and treats him so badly, but why did he accept Danny's request to open the locker door for him?

"A cishet person must have made this, no queer person would ever portray queerness in this way."

"This artist must be white."

"No SA victim would ever handle the subject in this way."

"No woman would ever write women like this."

"This creator is obviously neurotypical. Everyone with autism/ADHD/depression understands-"

Nope.

People who make these blanket statements are very frequently proven wrong when the creator comes out as a member of that group. And even when they aren't proven wrong, even in cases where the creator isn't from the group in question, actual members of the group who don't fit whatever arbitrary criteria are being expressed will see these statements and feel excluded and erased.

Not everyone in your group is going to share your experiences. No single individual gets to personally decide what does or doesn't count as a "valid" expression of trauma or being part of a particular group, and creators are also not obligated to out themselves in order to "prove" their validity.

If something doesn't resonate with you, all that means is that it doesn't resonate with you. You don't have to like it. But you don't get to decide what it means to someone else.

It’s okay to take a break sometimes. You aren’t Superman, you have to sleep and eat. You need to put your health first.

We love you so much, and we look forward to everything you post. These Sanders Sides are all completely amazing and we look forward to them constantly, but we can wait.

You should never feel guilty for getting them out late, as long as you take care of yourself first. We care more about you being happy and healthy than we do about you getting a video out on time.

You marvel at how patient we are with you, but it’s because it’s what you cultivate in us. You teach us to be accepting and loving and kind to everyone, and we will do the same for you.

So from the Fanders, go to sleep. The video can wait. We love you, and we will love it when we see it.
