Max while denying any help or telling Sam how he's feeling, the disease is getting worse in his favor. Max stays in the bathroom at night, he doesn't want to mess up the bed. Sam would wash the sheets but Max cant bare to see that. Max had many sleepless nights but during the day he eventually takes a nap somewhere or on Sam. After a while he loses his hearing, he can't exactly or clearly hear Sam anymore. He barely eats because of the lavender and blood ruining the taste. He also thinks just going to puke it out like everything else, but he is trying to eat for Sam. Since Max can still kinda see, he can occupy himself withs games or drawings until Sam gets back or Sam takes Max with him. Max after a while gets tired from walking so Sam carries him sometimes, and with people bumping on he's aching body he kinda hates going out but he likes being with Sam. Sam likes and hates bringing Max out. Sam eagers or begs Max to eat or sleep and is happy when he actually does. Seeing Max looking so peaceful is nice, his fake smile during the time he's wake hurts him. After that Max loses his eyesight, Now he can't hear nor see Sam which he hates. He doesn't leave the house now unless he could convince Sam enough. He rarely talks now, he doesn't even rush for the phone not like he could hear it. Sam got him fidget toys and only takes one case a day so he could watch Max. He feels worried enough when he leaves. Max is mostly always with Sam, he feels safe and not alone. Max kinda says his thoughts out loud, so while Sam is petting him as comfort, Max is slowly chatting away until he falls asleep. Sam finds himself waking near the coach or in the bathroom with Max. Some lore down here:

They were apart of Captain Flintlock's(Flint Paper) Crew. He had unfortunately died due to a rough battle with his enemies, most of the crew was injured. (thats why max has scars)

They had to find a new captain, which they didn't want to do of course, they decided to vote among them self because they didn't want some random guy they dont know that much about to lead them. lol. Sam got chose and had to earn the crew's respect. Which he did over time. Everyone started to call him Captain Wolfhound, he liked due it being a nice nod to his dog breed. The strongest crew member, he could break your arm but since he has a no blood on his hands code you will most likely die by something he did to kill you. Gets along with everyone on board, the respect is really bro-

Max is his right hand man and didn't earn it from just being his friend, The role is important and can't just be offered freely. He is the second strongest to Sam and is not fond or friends with everyone in the crew. One very bad impression is enough for him to not to trust you. Only Max can call Captain Wolfhound by his real name, but he still shows respect by saying Captain Sam. He still called lil buddy and Sam also calls him his best Mate. Max sleeps in the treasure room basically a guard dog.

The crew's name is The Black Steel crew, named after Flintlock's boat. They maybe have changed the flag a bit but carry on in the name of their old dear captain. <3
