the reason why she said it was “gross” was because she didn’t expect pearl to join in! note that she only started saying it when pearl went in to attack.

gem was shocked that pearl, her bestie, would actually help scar and hit her. that was what she found gross, that her own ally would team up with (from her pov) a villain to take HER down.

okay, during the progression of secret life, gem has been receiving some very hurtful and unnecessary hate comments. now, that's just not right. we all need to do better to support our favorite CC's.

so, i was thinking of hosting a geminitay appreciation week, where we, as a community, contribute to daily art pieces of gem for this entire week! gem needs to know that , despite all the hate she's been getting, she still has a lot of supportive and loving viewers who enjoy her and her beautiful content!

The issue that I believe may be causing a lot of grief rn to traffic fandom as a whole is the idea that there needs to be a fandom wide consensus on themes and meanings and imagery instead of everyone getting to take canon and have fun with it and interpret it in the way they want. It's what's fun abt mcyt in general babygirls it's the freedom of it all. Peace and love

Personally, I prefer not to use labels. But I'm fine with others using it for themselves and stuff.

Edit: Yk after some thinking I feel like yeah things like support labels are deffo useful when they are not being used to put some people's needs below others - that was the main reason why I didn't like it, but I think if used well instead of as "well you're low-support so you should be able to do that", they are actually good tools.
