Jupiter is considered to be a planet of luck, representing wealth of both knowledge and of monetary value, skills and talent development, courage, confidence, duty, and success, as well as self-improvement and developing one’s own individuality.
This spread is to shed light on how Jupiter can help you:
An aspect of yours that Jupiter asks you to focus on
How to remove or overcome any barriers that may get in the way of you expressing or developing this aspect
How you can share this trait with others/How this may help others and yourself
How you can develop this aspect/How Jupiter can help you harmonize with this aspect
Mars in 1st: Unstoppable once they put their mind onto something. Their determination is combined with enthusiasm, everyone around them will be contained with that enthusiasm of theirs, the birth of an idea is such a force to them. A force that keeps them fighting and chasing their goals. The energy they feel and have is unbelievable, it takes on their whole body inside and out, you feel it from a mile away, which is why it is sometimes a bit too much, they come on too strong for some folks. These are people who do not have time to sugar-coat things, who do not have time to waste on beating around the bush, very direct and straight-forward. Their quickness to stay on their feet, their readiness and fire makes them a very prepared leader, they are a warrior, a warrior who stays amongst their people, who does not claim the throne. They might seem arrogant to some, but they really care for the people they are leading. Impulsive, reckless, impatient. Loyal, fiery, enthusiastic, strong, brave.
Mars in 2nd: Someone who takes it slower than Mars is used to, but the 2nd house needs to make sure everything clicks and works out, so they will have a very sure successful end. Serious in their approach, very meticulous, you want to make sure everything is done right the first time. Definitely a hard-worker, definitely someone who pays attention and climbs the ladder slowly but surely. Very focused on the top and how to get there, their dedicated nature is admiring. But their patience is a big part to getting to the top and how careful they are.
Mars in 3rd: The quickness of the 3rd house and the loud voice of Mars helps them express their ideas, which they have plenty of. Communication is their strongest suit of self-expression and Mars is giving them the right amount of courage to go with. They have a sponge for a brain, they absorb all the information they are curious about, they work through it and store their knowledge, which is always necessary. Their youthful energy brings joy, their enthusiasm is very visible, they get excited and are restless about chasing their dreams and goals. They have clever ways about them, they know how to make controversy help them into climbing up and up, and Mars gifted them boldness to do so. They are also very direct in their approach.
Mars in 4th: Mars gifted you with fierceness and protectiveness, you are a warrior fighting for your closest ones. The compassion and worrying of the 4th house combined with the strength and intensity of Mars might make you dramatic, but you feel everything very strongly and passionately it is only right you have the platform of Mars to express it. It is what makes you fierce, you might seem angry sometimes, but letting that anger flow through something creative is how you can tame it, better yet how it can disappear which is a better option. Be careful not to become too controlling of your life, of your closest ones, you are always concerned about them, but grant yourself freedom first and then them.
Mars in 5th: People who take the best out of life, they notice the beauty of life and want to live it the fullest. The huge heart they have allows them to be sentimental about such moments that bring significance to their life. Very energetic, they possess that fiery ball within themselves, always so active and loud with their whole being. Very exciting, their excitement excites their surroundings, people enjoy their company because it is fun, the little things mean something and you realize this just by hanging out with these people. The warmth and light they bring is infectious and you want more. But this much fire also brings us to competitiveness, their spirit is competitive and they are all about a challenge. They are very creative as well, which helps them climb to the top.
Mars in 6th: High standards, right morals, right place of mind. All of the fierceness and enthusiasm Mars gives you goes into your work, you try to make things work right. 6th house allows you to notice everything, you have the eye for details, which helps you a lot with your work. Your dedication is also a very strong suit that leads you to success. Your mind is really organized, with the Mars fire you have the energy to be organized, to work hard , to be efficient. Your mind is detail-oriented as I mentioned, allowing you to always be thoughtful for your people, those things are really meaningful. Your standards and morals give you the necessary discipline to get to your place securely.
Mars in 7th: Your mind is so quick, to come up with ideas, to stimulate others, to have intellectual conversations, to question. Which is why sometimes it can get cloudy, it can get hard to decide, because you are so great at analyzing points, at seeing things, your brain can get scattered all over the plae. But the fire you hold for everything you believe in is incredible, you argue with such passion, the 7th house allows you verbal strength and Mars allows you the courage to say it, it gives you a voice. Quick to come up with ideas, quick to react, you are restless and fiery. A force to be reckoned with when debating.
Mars in 8th: Constantly looking for answers, which can mean you are sometimes struggling inside. You are wondering about the workings of the Universe, of things people do not talk about a lot. Your emotions are on such a high level, not many people feel that intensely and passionately. While you are looking for those answers, you are so caught up within yourself, you give off that mystery, you give off a vibe that you are hard to understand or even touch. Strong instincts. Someone who is secretive, someone who is very introspective, someone who fights and protects what is theirs, sometimes it can mean being possessive. Someone who is real and vulnerable, but independent.
Mars in 9th: Very straight-forward, feels strongly about their opinions, but their mind is always open to discover new truths, new perspectives and gather that knowledge. Their curiousity also allows them to pick up different things, but their fiery nature allows them to fight for their cause, to fight for the truth. They do not sugar-coat things, they are blunt, but their bluntness does not make them mean, they are actually very kind and humorous, it is a joy being around them they will try their best to make you laugh. Playfulness is also a strong suit, it is always an adventure being accompanied by them.
Mars in 10th: Image, career all very important things to these people. So driven, so determined to get there. Their dedication and focus are something that inspires us all to do our best. These people are rocks we are so comfortable to rely on, they are our strong pillar that keeps us grounded. They work slowly but hard, they are careful of everything, their mind is strategic and they are meticulous. Their loyalty and sense of morality are strong suits that keep them at the top. Trustworthy and responsible. They approach all things In life seriously.
Mars in 11th: They cannot stand injustice, they have the necessary courage and drive to work through that and of course that irresistible 11th house rebellion. They have a strong sense of what is wrong and right and they lead their life with that. They are different, they think steps ahead, they think very far ahead with the intend on helping everyone develop as a collective. Very generous, giving, sacrificing for the betterment for everyone. You can never know what will happen next with them, their unpredictability makes them always relevant and interesting. Their special workings of their brain helps them to solve problems, to come up with different ideas. They are unique and eccentric. An inspiration to all.
Mars in 12th: These are people who may have a problem expressing their sensitivity, but are vulnerable and emotional, they turn to helping other people so much, while forgetting their own problems or rather avoiding them. They need to resolve their passive-aggressive behavior, it is conflicting but definitely something they can work on. That will give them the necessary confidence to embrace what they are an emotional, sensitive but confident person. Mars also gives them the courage to express themselves freely, to keep their mind open at all times. But the reality is that they are a dreamer, they are the ones who will help with the change of the world, they are intuitive and should definitely follow that.
hello! i've been trying to research magic, but unfortunately most books i find are specific wicca, which i'm not interested in. do you have any book reccomendations that arent wicca centric? thank you! i love your blog :^)
Oh heckin yes I do My amazon wishlist is literally like six pages long… ALL BOOKS
WARNING: This Is Going To Be Extremely Long!
First though I want to note that while I 100% understand your feelings about the Wicca stuff (being a very NOT Wiccan Witch), not all books that are Wicca leaning are bad! I’ve gotten loads of useful information from books that tended to be a little new agey. That’s where being objective comes in! With ANY book, you should take it with a grain of salt, and some with a whole shaker. But it’s up to you to pay attention to misinformation and conflation, and to know how to do research to prove or disprove that something in a book you read is true or not. Does that make sense??
Anywho, a couple of books that are still kind of “Wicca-y” but great:
Grimoire of the Green Witch
The Goodly Spellbook (This one is an INCREDIBLY AWESOME REFERENCE)
The Modern Guide To Witchcraft (Written By Skye Alexander who seems to mass produce books, so need some good fact checking here)
The Modern Witchcraft SpellBook (Written By Skye Alexander who seems to mass produce books, so need some good fact checking here)
The Witches Broom (LOTS OF SALT but good basic history)
The Witches Athame (LOTS OF SALT but good basic history)
The Witches Mirror (LOTS OF SALT but good basic history)
Cottage Witchery (This author is pretty good about keeping away but there’s still some slips)
Practical Protection Magick (This author is pretty good about keeping away but there’s still some slips)
The Big Book of Practical Spells (Written by Judika Illes, who did the Encyclopedia of 5,000 Spells; it’s a good book, but there’s too much Cultural appropriation for my taste. Tread Lightly, and bring that shaker I was talking about)
Those are all books from my personal collection that I would recommend! Now as for the Non-Wicca Books, Let’s dive in! Not all of these have I read or owned, and they are in no particular order. You’ll notice most of them relate to “Traditional Witchcraft” or West Country, because that is where my practice is focused.

NASA has released new images of Jupiter, taken by the Juno Spacecraft.
Dear Lady D, hope you're doing great today! My boyfriend's mom gave me access to his birth chart via his birth time haha. He's aware too. :) I was wondering what to look at or how to read a natal chart when reading about love or compatibility? Thank you, Lady D!
Contrary to what you may think, you do not need to go into endless details. Checking the stars for love compatibility is quite simple and easy.
They are Earth and Water, then Fire and Air.
Which means Earth signs Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo are compatible with any of the Water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. And vice versa.
This is because Water is wild and shapeless, but Earth can tame it and give it form. While Earth is dry and hard. But water can soften it and blend with it to create bridges and castles.
Additionally, Fire signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are compatible with any of the Air signs, Libra, Aquarius and Gemini. Again, vice versa.
This is because a wildfire never dies as long as there is wind to fuel it. And Air is invisible, but near Fire, you can see its dancing silhouette. They strengthen each other, creating the perfect blend of warmth and chill.
Zodiac signs belonging to the same element also go well together, but they are not as compatible as the above. Because too much similarity can create boredom or competition, which can destroy a connection.
If Step 1 revealed incompatibility, do not be disheartened just yet.
Know that Cardinal and Mutable tend to be compatible, while Fixed likes to seek itself.
Which means Cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn should find comfort with any of the Mutable signs, Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini and Virgo. Vice versa applies.
This is because both Cardinal and Mutable signs straddle two seasons: Cardinals sit between the end of the last season and the beginning of their own, while Mutables sit between the end of their season and the beginning of another. They know what it is like to be flexible.
As for Fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, they should find kinship in one another.
This is because Fixed signs sit right in the middle of their season. Taurus in the middle of Spring; Leo in the middle of Summer; Scorpio in the middle of Fall; and Aquarius in the middle of Winter. That makes them solid, strong, stable. They can trust one another.
Modality compatibility should temper elemental incompatibility.
If both Step 1 and Step 2 revealed incompatibility, again, do not be disheartened.
Yes, your Sun is your personality. Your overall behavior. And in a natal chart, it is superior to all others.
But we are talking about love. And that domain is not owned by the Sun. It belongs to Venus. So perform Step 1 and Step 2 again, but this time, forget the Sun, and look at Venus instead.
Is it really love compatibility you wish to determine between you and another?
Because if it is just sex, then looking at Mars and Pluto would be what is accurate. Mars rules our desires, while Pluto rules our genitals. So perform Step 1 and Step 2 again, but this time, forget the Sun and Venus.
Or perhaps you are asexual or aromantic, and are only looking for some sort of companionship. Then look to the Moon and Neptune. For the Moon rules our subconscious emotions while Neptune rules our unconscious emotions. Outside of romance and sex, they define how we express and receive affection.
Then again, maybe you do not care about any kind of love at this stage, and are wondering instead how well you would get along with your boss, business partner or roommate.
For your boss, check your Saturn, for this planet rules authority. For your business partner, check Jupiter, for he rules equality. For your roommate, check Uranus, who rules casual connections. Additionally, for all three, check Mercury. For he rules how we communicate outside of intimate environments.
If all of the above revealed incompatibility, all hope is not lost.
Whatever kind of compatibility you are looking for, your Rising sign is bound to play a role.
For if your Sun sign is King, your Rising sign is his queen. And even if Venus is Hand of the King in romance, and Mars and Pluto are Lords Commander in sex, the queen is still closer to the king and holds authority over them.
So for the last time, perform Steps 1 and 2 again, but this time, look at your Rising sign.
If, at the end of this post, you find yourself filled with sadness at your undeniable incompatibility with your person, know that when it comes to the identity of your soulmate, the stars alone do not dictate.

The Problem with How We See Astrology
If you have no planets in the 12th house and are unsure of the house cusp, calculate the sign before your own ascending sign. For example, if you have Leo rising you have Cancer on the 12th house cusp. If you have Capricorn rising, you have Sagittarius on the 12th house cusp
Sun in the 12th house/Leo on the 12th house cusp: The remnants of social importance from previous lifetimes activate through the spirit, there is a constant pressure to feel understood and gain acceptance, there is a spiritual purpose that in this lifetime is not recognised as they once were. In the past life the individual could have been a social representative, sovereignty, leader, artist, or public figure
Moon in the 12th house/Cancer on the 12th house cusp: The family dynamics and karma from ancestors is passed through to the individual such as past traumas, addictions, spiritual abuse. The individual made a lot of sacrifices, and the natural maternity can be astounding, they give form to the term ‘natural mother’, or 'natural father’. The individual may have been a devoted parent, crone, witch, nurse, or work with women in the community
Mercury in the 12th house/Gemini or Virgo on the 12th house cusp: Thoughts from previous lifetimes make entrance so the individual can feel as though their mindset is trapped in another time. They can experience strange visuals or flashes with no origin. The individual may be a brilliant automatic writer or channeller because the memories of past life studies are so fresh. In past lives Gemini 12th house may have been a teacher, academic, messenger, writer. Virgo 12th house may have been a calligrapher, healer, pharmacist, nurse, witch. Virgo 12th house may carry on sicknesses from past lives that must be dealt with consciously
Venus in the 12th house/Taurus or Libra on the 12th house cusp: The individual was a figure of beauty in previous lifetimes, likely revered for their artistry, femininity, and vision. There may have been abundant finances that are not so available in this lifetime, so the individual is used to a lavish life and may accumulate as though this is still so. Libra in the 12th inherits relationship dynamics and trauma from previous lifetimes, there is lingering heartbreak that needs to be healed
Mars in the 12th house/Aries on the 12th house cusp: The individual was forced to constantly fight for their life previously, so the survival dynamics can still subtly activate themselves, there can be unfounded fears about the world and inherited reactivity to danger. The spirit is used to danger, and it needs to be soothed in this lifetime. There may be troubles with men due to abuses in the past life
Jupiter in the 12th house/Sagittarius on the 12th house cusp: The individual can access tremendous knowledge and wisdom through the portal of the higher mind because this was studied intently previously. The individual was likely a scholar, philosopher, or spiritualist. Because of the divine intimacy that was attained, the individual has inherited an intrinsic belief in the good powers of God and feels secretly protected. The abstract mind had been previously cultivated
Saturn in the 12th house/Capricorn on the 12th house cusp: The guilt of the unfinished work in previous lifetimes is haunting, the individual feels they have inherited an intense responsibility that they are not ready for. Karmic family dynamics have been inherited that relate to the father, this relationship can be highly pressured or non existent
Uranus in the 12th house/Aquarius on the 12th house cusp: Intuition and the ability to respond to this has been primed and cultivated in previous lifetimes meaning the individual is open to the flow of profound and developed intuitive wisdom that seems to come from nothing. There is natural spiritual knowledge that has not been consciously learned. In previous lifetimes the individual may have been a social outcast or reject, they may have been prosecuted for their progressive vision or knowledge. They may have been an astronomer, astrologer, occultist, scientist, academic, revolutionary
Neptune in the 12th house/Pisces on the 12th house cusp: Dreams, visions, addictions, and sicknesses from past lives live through the individual they may be at hostage to previously cultivated psychic activity and psychological escapism. There is generous karma to relinquish, the individual may have been a mystic or mentally unwell. They have naturally adapted to the dreamlike state of reality
Pluto in the 12th house/Scorpio on the 12th house cusp: This is a lifetime of constant, painful, and severe transformation in order to completely abolish and perish the demons that have been accumulated in previous lifetimes. The individual was a force of goodness and powerful societal change, in this lifetime they are offered the rectitude of focusing on themselves and reconciling the light and shadow

1. card to represent entity
queen of cups - a beautiful, introspective woman sits on a throne at the edge of the sea. this entity is a women or has feminine energy, she is caring and compassionate. intuitive and creative, she goes with the flow. she might be an empath, a highly sensitive person, a healer, or psychic.
2. my relationship to them
the empress - a full figured woman, with a peaceful aura and peaceful energy. perhaps someone from my maternal line, with the previous card it seems to make sense that it is a female. a call to connect with feminine energy. she is also deeply connected to nature and perhaps is calling me to connect with nature and the female divine as well. with the pregnant belly showing, it really points to being a maternal ancestor.
3. why are they reaching out
the sun - her warmth and light shine down on me, she wants me to be happy and positive. she wants me to live life to the fullest that perhaps the people who came before me couldn’t have. she wants me to be open and confident, free and careless.
4. how they relate to my ancestors / are they an ancestor?
the hierophant - either they taught my ancestors about spirituality and tradition or they were an ancestor who taught others. they passed on knowledge, perhaps cultural traditions. with the previous cards, it would make sense for this person to be some kind of spiritual advisor or healer.
5. what can i do to hear them out?
page of wands - communicate via prayer or just talking, they want me to undertake a journey but for it to be creative, lively, and free. they want me to be full of energy and find my passion and go for it. perhaps a path similar to the one they took.
6. what can i do to honor them?
eight of pentacles - card of apprenticeship and mastery, whatever i’m currently practicing, keep doing what i’m doing because this is the right path. i’m currently in college studying art history, and trying to learn more and more about my own history. i must keep at this. they are encouraging me to do so. i will achieve success this way.
7. card to represent their origin
seven of wands - this is someone who was fiery at times and stood up for what they believed in. perhaps they were caught in the middle of a battle or constantly had people against them or critical of them. despite their sensitive nature, they defended themselves and protected what they cared about. if they were a teacher of some sort, then it would make sense for them to have a few who did not agree with them.
extra pulled cards: page of pentacles
oracle cards: warrior woman and answer the call
Hi my dearest Diana! I'm so amazed at how you read a card differently each time! With other readers it's like every card just has one or two keywords but you have a very rich knowledge. I know time and natural talent play in it but any tips for an intermediate reader like me?

“Interpreting the last card does not mean you are done. You have ten more things to do before the reading is through.”
1. Count the major arcana.
The more there are, the stronger the reading’s predictions will impact the querent’s life. If there are none or just one, almost none of it will matter in the long run.
2. Note the sequence of the major arcana.
If the querent is asking about someone, and the major arcana are between 0 and 16, that person is not meant to stay in their life. If the question is about a dream or an opportunity, and the cards fall between 17 and 21, it will manifest completely.
3. Count the cards from each suit.
The presence of all suits predicts a balanced outcome. More Wands means strong passion. More Swords means anxiety or manipulation. More Cups means the heart is running the show. More Pentacles means wealth is about to diminish or grow.
4. Mind the aces and the tens.
Two or more aces means the situation is only just beginning. Two or more tens means it is now coming to a good or bad ending.
5. Note the multiples between two and nine.
Twos mean clever thinking is of paramount importance. Threes speak of infidelity or the need for cooperation. Fours guarantee stability, just as sixes do harmony. Fives and sevens spell difficult challenges, but eights and nines promise that the labor is almost over.
6. Regard the ruling colors.
A dominant black predicts burdens and hindrances. Red and yellow combined ensure passion, clarity and manifestation. Blue and white together advise that the solution can be found through spirituality and intuition.
7. Count the court cards.
Nine times out of ten, court cards are people, not influences. They are doing the manipulation or they need to be manipulated.
8. Notice the suits of the courts.
Wands and Swords are friendly. So are Cups and Pentacles. Any other combination spells rivalry and obstacles.
9. Watch where the cards are facing.
“Is the woman in The World looking at The Tower? A tragedy has to occur before success can take over. Is the King of Cups facing away from his Queen? Their relationship is suffering. His love for her has begun fading.”
10. Look at the bottom of the deck.
If the outcome is good, embodying this energy will make it even better. If the outcome is bad, this is the hidden connection that needs to be severed.
Hi Diana, as someone who is learning to read trines, squares & oppositions can you tell us what aspects help show the deities present at our birth? I have been drawn to Pluto most, but am wondering about Saturn, Venus & Diana. Most of my signs are in my Sun in 2nd, Capricorn. My moon, in Pisces, fourth house& I have pluto in Scorpio, 12th house. I also have Moon trine Pluto. Is that trine significant? Any help you can give is amazing, your blog is one of the few on Greco-Roman Deities I trust 💜
Your astrological parent is the divinity who was reigning at the moment of your birth. How can you tell which god that is? I previously explained it to intermediate astrologers. I am now doing the same for beginners.
Which Zodiac sign appears the most in your natal chart? If you see Gemini once, Scorpio once, Libra thrice and Pisces six times, it means Neptune (Ruler of Pisces) greatly outranks Mercury (Ruler of Gemini), Pluto (Ruler of Scorpio) and Venus (Ruler of Libra) in your life.

Which of your Houses is the most occupied? If you see just two planets each in your First House and Fourth House, three planets in your Fifth House and four planets in your Twelfth House, it means Neptune (Ruler of the Twelfth House) outranks Mars (Ruler of the First), Diana (Ruler of the Fourth) and Apollo (Ruler of the Fifth).

The first two steps are sufficient to determine your divine parent. In both signs and Houses, Neptune won. He is the god who was present at your birth.
So why look at the aspects? It is one of the factors that will allow you to call yourself Neptunian. Because a god attending your birth only means he will give you presents and keep you safe now and then. (If you approach him, that is.) But if his presence is strong even in your aspects, then you might just be entitled to carrying his name, and that means you will be among the most beloved of all his children.
CONJUNCTION
This is when two gods find themselves in the same room. We do not know if they will get along.
OPPOSITION
This is when two gods, annoyed with each other, are giving one another the cold shoulder.
SQUARE
This is when two gods are having a battle – hitting, kicking, cursing, cutting up each other.
SEXTILE
This is when two gods are drinking wine together, jesting and laughing with each other.
TRINE
This is when two gods have set their differences aside and made a pact to support each other.
If Neptune is squaring Saturn in your natal chart, that is good for you. These two do not get along. The fact that they were fighting at the time of your birth means Neptune was very much himself in that moment. And if Neptune is trining Uranus, even better. These gods like each other. It means at the moment of your birth, your father was having fun with a friend.
If a god’s dominance in your signs and Houses is clearly undisputed, and your aspects reflect his or her rivalries and alliances, it means you can carry their name, and there are many wonderful favors you can surely claim.
