The Runic Alphabet
The Runic Alphabet. The picture is the Runic alphabet I use!
đ«đ«đ«đ«
What can I use the Runic alphabet for?
Your Book of Shadows or Grimoire
A secret journal
Writing notes in class
Writing spells
To connect with deities
You can use Runes like sigils, by learning the meaning of a runestone and then drawing it on you, paper, other materials, and etc

Somethings you should know when learning to write the Runic Alphabet
There are lots of different variations of the Runic alphabet, so someone else might know a different one to you.
Some people write third alphabet left-right.
Some letters do not have their own rune, and so they will have a repeated rune.
Some common word beginnings and endings like âThâ and âNgâ have their own runes.
Good day, lady diana! Not to attack anyone but most of the greco roman pagans here only have literature, movies and their imagination as basis for what they're saying. You're the only one i trust to know the answer to my question. Since the old gods are not like the new ones who have a black and white view of good and bad, does that mean the old gods support crime? Since they're more open minded? Since they understand human impulse? Since they're more human in a way? Thank you very much!
For a time in the Roman Empire, being a Christian was a crime. Then during the Victorian era, not wearing black after your husband died was an equally serious crime. And today, merely having an unpopular opinion on Twitter seems to be the biggest crime.
So if by crime, you mean our whimsical definition of the word, then I can tell you with certainty that the divine cannot be bothered.
But on our gods' definition of a crime, my eldersâ tales and my own accounts are aligned.
Unlike the new gods, the old ones do not exist just to watch over us. They have their own exciting lives. That is why they value peace. Because peace on earth means they mostly live undisturbed.
Therefore, a criminal to them is whoever destroys the peace. But not just anyone who wreaks havoc. Rather, the one who starts a brawl. Here are some examples:
FOR APOLLO
To the Lord of Victory, cheating is a grave crime. But if your opponent did it first and you are only balancing the scales, then you are not the criminal in his eyes. The other guy is. He is the one who will be punished.
FOR DIANA
To the Goddess of the Hunt, killing wildlife is a crime. But those who hunt merely to eat have nothing to fear. Along with those who are only removing a threat to their own life, or to their crops and their livestock.
FOR MERCURY
To the Lord of Antics, pranks are a joy, not a crime. But those who use trickery to take advantage of the innocent should beware. Scammers, corrupt politicians, vile lawyers⊠such are criminals in his eyes.
FOR VENUS
To the Goddess of Love, stealing someoneâs boyfriend is not a crime. Because such an act is impossible. Humans have free will. Our hearts cannot be stolen. Lying about loving someone just to use them â that is what a crime is.
FOR MARS
To the Lord of War, starting a fight is not a crime. Neither is losing it. Like Apollo, it is cheating that he despises, along with cowardice. And of course he enjoys bloodshed. But not when it is the blood of the innocent.
FOR JUPITER
To the Lord of Optimism, gossiping is a crime. Speaking ill of someone out of malice awakens his fury. And so when the victim fights back, he supports her completely, even when the punishment exceeds the crime.
FOR SATURN
To the Lord of Harvest, stealing is a crime. For he values honest work. Unless you are stealing from a thief. Then he appreciates you bringing everything back to balance. You can think of him as a Robin Hood fan.
FOR URANUS
To the Lord of Chaos, rocking the boat is not a crime. He loves people who think differently, no matter how harmful or threatening his opinions might be for others. Unless he actually hurts somebody, Uranus will see him dearly.
FOR NEPTUNE
To the Lord of Mysticism, not believing in anything bigger than yourself is a crime. He does not care whether it is him you believe in. But if you think you are the strongest force on earth, you might be pushing him to prove you wrong.
FOR PLUTO
To the Lord of Death, ending those who deserve it is not a crime. Think of him as a proponent of capital punishment. Makes sense that of all the gods, he is the most responsive to his children, when they are begging for vengeance.
Of course, the godsâ minds are more complex than I can comprehend. But the above is an authentic excerpt from the experience of the pagans in my lineage.
Hi! I was wondering if there are ways to dress in order to honor the gods (colour, material, style etc.)? I can't be open about my beliefs in day to day life, but it would be nice if I could keep the god I follow in mind when choosing my clothes for the day. Also, a big thank you!! Your blog has been very helpfulâ€
When you do it to honor, instead of to imitate the gods, you might constantly be blessed.
Apollo, Lord of Light
Golden and white fabrics. Anything that gleams when the light strikes it.
Diana, Lady of the Hunt
Silver jewelries, thin cloths. Accessories sharp enough to double as weapons.
Mercury, Lord of the Intellect
Dignified headpiece or hairstyle. Something that shows you respect your mind.
Venus, Lady of Love
Red silk and velvet. Seductive, warming fabrics that exude confidence.
Mars, Lord of the Battlefield
Leather fabric, steel accessories. Whatever instills fear in your enemies.
Jupiter, Lord of Abundance
Any fabric that flows and stretches. Purples and violets, the shades of wealth.
Saturn, Lord of the Harvest
Brown and green, colors of the earth. Never ostentatious. Durable and practical.
Uranus, Lord of Chaos
Mismatching materials and pieces. The brightest and boldest combinations.
Neptune, Lord of Mysticism
All shades of blue, lightest to darkest. Natural fabrics, handmade accessories.
Pluto, Lord of the Underworld
Black. Upscale, not goth. Other than Venus, he is the most elegant of the gods.
In Leo, Mercury experiences the Sunâs honourable blessings, wearing the Starâs pointy and radiant crown.
Up in Leoâs stage, under the spotlight, this Mercury finds that he easily draws attention to himself whenever he expresses his thoughts. People born under the influence of this Mercury have a beautiful and radiant voice that naturally doesnât go unnoticed by others, favouring careers like singing and teaching. The Leo mind is creative and burns lightly with sparkling ideas, so the individual may feel like they must share their impressive thoughts in an attempt to make a difference in the world and leave their imprint in some way.
Mercury in Leo is focused on being happy, loving and playful. He loves playing games and may incorporate childlike mannerisms into their language and way of expressing himself. Those with Mercury in Leo may also be quite romantic and enjoy enchanting people through their particular way of talking creatively. Leoâs fixed fire provides stability and confidence for this individualâs mind, producing a self-assured manner of expressing oneâs thoughts while also dignifying oneâs opinions, which may be hard to alter.
This Mercury sits on the Sunâs throne, surrounded by curtains of red and gold, from which he reigns proudly with a clever smile.
Physically, Iâm trying to do all my reading for class.
Mentally, Iâm imagining running across the English countryside.

Hi love! Thank you for all the work you do â your blog is incredible. I wanted to ask you about offerings. I know you mentioned dark chocolate when you do personal readings; what else do you use for offerings, and can you talk about them in general? I haven't seen anything about offerings on your blog, so my apologies if you answered this already! Thank you so much!
They do not live on mortal land. We kindly summon them to us. So before every offering, ask, âWill this be worth their journey or not?â
FOOD THAT SATISFIES
During a ritual or ceremony, offer them a full course meal, complete with fruit, meat, bread and wine. Something abundant, fragrant and befitting a god.
FOOD THAT IMPRESSES
When you come across unique food, give them some. Luxurious chocolates⊠a specialty from a city you visited⊠Anything worthy of their interest.
FOOD THAT TOUCHES
Each time you bake, give the first batch to the gods. Even if your sweets are nothing too remarkable or elegant, it is your effort that you offer.
OBJECTS THAT HONOR
A silver arrow for Diana. A porcelain shell for Venus. A music box for Apollo. Anything related to the godsâ identity, or whatever reflects their personality.
OBJECTS THAT CONNECT
A tarot deck⊠a scrying mirror⊠a rune set⊠Any conduit for visions or messages. Offer it up to the gods, so that they may speak to you through it.
OBJECTS THAT ENDEAR
A poem for Mercury⊠your trophy for Mars⊠your medal for Saturn⊠Even cheap items, if they mean something to you, will be something to them too.
Venus in Virgo is a gardener. Gentle and attentive, she walks among plants in light, comfortable clothes that blow slowly to the windâs whispers. Diamonds grow from her flowers, and she tends to them much like a jeweller polishes their stones.
Venus in Virgo is a fertile placement, but not a typical one⊠Traditionally, Virgo is too analytical an energy to deal with Venusâ sphere of affections. Here, the process of loving, attracting and demonstrating affection passes first through reason and logical examination, maybe preventing a more spontaneous and traditionally natural expression of oneâs fondness towards others. Virgo Venusâ fertility, then, is about being able to discriminate between good and bad. People with this placement are watchful observers, and this trait helps them understand the people theyâre interested in. Theyâre judicious and easily identify both skillful and unskillful traits in others. And so they become a worker in the garden of their relationships. Seeds are carefully analyzed before being able to grow in a safe place under the Sun. People with this placement take good care of their friends and lovers and are somehow devoted to them, for these people have invariably been elected as especial and worthwhile from a pile of many other potential relationships. Like a gardener whoâs proud of their work, Venus in Virgo people love to watch their allies grow and will focus their efforts in eliminating anything that imposes a threat to the relationshipâs blossom.
This worry and care related to growth is reflected in Virgo Venusâ efforts towards maintaining a healthy body, a balanced mind, a good diet and an impeccable hygiene. Naturally, Venus extends this care to the objects of her attention, and so friends, allies and lovers will all benefit from Virgo Venusâ knowledge on being so thoughtful and so concerned. To put it more clearly, the Virgo Venus individual is the often the one to offer help and to constantly be there for the people they love. How was your day? Is there anything I can help you with? Do it like this and maybe youâll get better results. Are you sleeping well? Let me take charge of this. Et cetera.
Materially, Virgo Venus also symbolizes great talent in organizing and administrating their finances and possessions. She also has great understanding of how nature operates, and because of this she can naturally understand how medicine and healing arts work.
Moreover, this clear observation of the outside world helps Virgo Venus people in always keeping a relationship crystal clear as far as intentions go. People with this placement tend to consciously understand what they want in a relationship, and will often demand a similar attitude from their partner, in the sense that theyâll not only try to dissolve conflict when it appears, but theyâll also try to solve the problem that is imposed, and this is a reflection of Virgoâs analytical and critical eye on things.
Finally, Venus in Virgo is a gentle grower. They watch the weather change from sunny to stormy and from stormy to snowy in a resigned way, always willing to improve themselves and do the most out of a situation while adapting themselves accordingly. Venus in Virgo represents the patience necessary to contently wait for the beautiful thriving of a garden.

If you donât mind sharing how do you do your readings ?
BEFOREHAND
Days before you visit, I will ask you to think of three questions on different aspects of your life. I will tell you that if you wish, for the first, I can simply give you an overview of your past, present and future.
THE ENVIRONMENT
Upon entering my sacred space, you will find that the lighting is warm and dim. You will hear quiet music around you to calm your mind. You will feel cool air that is refreshing to inhale. And the smell will be sweet. Like flowers in the air.
THE OFFERING
I will ask you to sit in front of me. Instead of tarot cards, you will see three wooden bowls on the round table between us.
The first contains dark chocolates. We will each have one. You, as an offering to your higher self, asking its permission to be deciphered. Me, as an offering to the old gods, who will use my voice to speak with.
The second bowl will have hot towels, one for each of us, to cleanse away any lingering negative energies. So that when we both touch the cards with our hands, tarot connects to our true energy.
The third bowl will have a different set of towels, simply for us to dry our hands with.
I will set them all aside, place a velvet cloth on the table, and a tarot deck in my hands.
THE INVOCATION
Together, we will take four deep breaths. You, as you focus on your question. Me, as I calm my body before the old gods take over.
I will ask you to state your query. Let us say it is about love.
You will see me shuffle the cards as I say, "I call upon the Moirai, Holders of Destiny. Clotho, the Spinner, I summon you. Lachesis, the Allotter, I invoke you. Atropos, the Inevitable, I invite you. Venus, Goddess of Love, Beauty and Harmony â everything we desire in life â I seek you."
I will relay your name and query to them. Let us say it is Jane. "I implore you to allow us a glimpse of Jane's destiny. She would like to know about love. Will she find it? When and with whom? What can she look forward to? Anything she should be wary of? We would be grateful for anything you will allow us to know."
So that the cards can touch the thread of your life, I will ask you to cut the deck in half, twice, and to break it in seven piles. I will put the deck back together and start laying out your cards in a Celtic Cross.
THE READING ITSELF
I will speak the position and name of each card as I lay it. After the spread is complete, you will hear me explain each of the thirteen.
The lights are dim for two reasons. Because the Fates live next to Hades and are not used to harsh lighting... and so that the light is focused only on me and your cards, when I show them to you one by one.
As I explain to you the symbols on each card, presenting them as evidence for every message, you will know that my words are not merely based on assumptions or taken from a scripted template. Because instead of hearing highfalutin words, you are seeing your very life... the people around you... your darkest fears... and your greatest hopes... painted on the cards right in front of your eyes.
I will speak your name repeatedly, helping you grasp that these hidden truths are being revealed to you directly.
After I have explained each card to you, I will close your reading by highlighting the advice, the warning, and above all, the prediction you received.
I will ask you if you have any clarifications. Instead of those, you will have exclamations. You will say something along the lines of, "I thought you would only say generic things. But instead you described my life in detail." You will start laughing or crying. Sometimes both. I will offer you a tissue box so your tears do not wet my cards.
We will move on to your next question, repeating a part of the invocation.
AFTERWARDS
You will ask me when you should come back. I will tell you that you probably should not. That sometimes, a person only needs to have one tarot reading in her life.
But in a few days, weeks or months, when my predictions have come true, you will come back anyway, asking more about your tomorrow and your yesterday.
Aura: The color of energy surrounding a person outside of their body
Chakras: 7 pools of energy relating to 7 vital points within the body, each associated with their own color & associations
In my experience Auras & Chakras are related to each other. As you can see colors normally have similar associations. Depending on how connected you are within your body to a Chakra, the more that color will be represented in your personality outside of the body. Variations will occur from day to day, but you will have a prominent Aura color and a prominent Chakra you are most attune with that does not change.
