Those whom society as a whole no longer deems right to believe in. The ones worshipped by the ancient Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Sumerians and the Vikings.

The new gods are those who enjoy the attention of society today. The gods of the monotheistic religions. The Abrahamic god and his son’s many versions.
