Okay. Time for a heart to heart with the WH Fandom

To everyone within the WH fandom/community, as someone who has recently seen the amazing creativity for aus and such interesting ideas based on party coffin/Clown’s project, I am very happy to see many invested in this as I am. Seriously, I have seen some amazing work. However, I feel like as if we all need a moment to ourselves and consider what lines that may be crossed if we go overboard. So I am asking we all take a moment from the project itself and focus on other outside interests for a while. Maybe like a story that could be a WIP that was never finished or something that inspired you to create the AU or anything outside WH for a good while. It may do us some good after all. I am not saying to stop supporting the project itself. Keep up the support. Like one vision created such an amazing arg that we all soon fell in love with. Especially me when it came to a form of nostalgia mixed with a hint of weirdcore factor. At least I personally believe that. Just….give yourself a break. Because if you don’t, there may be a misunderstanding or some misleading among the creator of the project and their fans. I understand we all just fell in love with this and all, but don’t forget what happens when something reaches a high point to where things may roll downhill and lead to no return. Mostly because we live in a world where things will always come back around. Either good or bad, it will always come back to you one way or another. What you do can impact Clown’s life as well as yours. Not to mention we also need to reflect upon ourselves. How our thoughts can be reflected within our art, the kind of message or meaning we want to give and display, the way we see ourselves and as others see us, the way we think, feel, see the world, it just tends to show….the real us in a way. We know we are human. Even if they are those of us who don’t like it, it’s the reality we were born in, wether you hate it or not. If you have a certain thing for a subject in question, okay cool. That’s cool! All I ask is that we just….give ourselves some time to ourselves and….reflect on our lives as well as what we create. For nowadays, it is hard to tell apart an artist from their art….and….I don’t any hostility nor unwanted toxicity among the newly established fandom. I just want us to enjoy something without breaking limits or making anyone uncomfortable.

the kids online safety act passed the u.s. senate.

long story short (for anyone who hadn't heard of this before) the kids online safety act, aka kosa, is a bill that will censor online content and resources for lgbtq+ matters, reproductive healthcare, activism (INCLUDING PALESTINE AND LIKELY OTHER CRISES GOING ON LIKE IN CONGO OR SUDAN), mental health, etc. everywhere--its effects likely won't be contained to just america.

today, july 30th, 2024, the senate passed it 91-3. it has officially moved to the house of representatives.

is this a pretty massive setback? yes. do you have every right to be scared, sad, angry, or whatever else about this happening? absolutely. but should you give up hope completely? NO!

even though kosa passed the senate, the house is on break/august recess at the moment. we have around an entire month to get emails, calls, and faxes in to house reps, maybe more depending on when they decide to vote on it.

should it pass the house and get signed into law, we still have a whole 18 months before it actually goes into effect. this is plenty of time for digital rights orgs (e.g. fight for the future, the electronic frontier foundation) and other groups that oppose it to file a lawsuit against it. even if, worst-case scenario, it flies through the house immediately after the recess ends, we can still fight this up to march 2026.

so, yes, remember what's at stake here, but also remember that it's not over yet. we lost a battle, not the war.

Ace and Deuce Prank War Imagines

Imagine how the hijinks would start - with Ace (because of course he would) waiting outside your door with a plate covered in whipped cream in hand whilst you and Deuce studies together. He had intended on targeting you, but that went pear shaped as soon as he sent the plate flying into Deuce's face as soon as the door had been opened. The moment you saw Ace cackling and Deuce's face coated in the sticky substance, you knew that a war was about to start.

Imagine being caught up in Deuce's trap for Ace, walking into the Heartslabyul dorm at the worst time and having a cauldron's worth of icy cold water tipped onto your head (with the cauldron luckily staying in place above the door.) The first thing you'd see would be the shocked expression of Deuce in front of you, before he held a hand to his mouth in an attempt to muffle his laughter. At least Trey has warm towels on standby, having just taken the fluffy fabric out of the dryer - although it's clear by how he deflects conversations about the pranks that he is not going to get involved.

Imagine Ace and Deuce's faces when they enter their class only to be met with a faceful of feathers each, and being unable to brush them off without them getting stuck to their hands and arms instead. Imagine their disbelief when they realise that you had convinced Cater to help you enchant the feathers so that they'd be sticky and near impossible to remove without the help of magic - the best payback for your two chaotic friends.

Imagine the devilish grins on each of their faces when they realised the best way to immediately get payback - quickly capturing you in their arms and giving you a big hug so that many of the feathers would end up stuck to you as well. The laughter between the three of you as you all realise how silly you look would make your heart feel a little lighter and smile feel a little wider... And it'll soften the blow of Crewel doling out detentions once he enters the classroom to see the three of you causing such chaos.
