honestly though larry is so cool in terms of the more foreshadowing side of him

like at first he comes off like just the normal gym leader, whatever. you dont think too much about anything hes up to. then you get to the elite 4 reveal and suddenly… things make sense

he gives you the tm for facade. hes trying so hard to act like just some every day guy and not an elite 4 member by not loudly broadcasting it to the world.

he terastallizes his staraptor into the normal type, despite it already being normal in its normal/flying type. this is obviously to make it a pure normal type, a literal manifestation of his attempt at trying to be discreet about his elite 4 position as the flying type handler.

not only that, but his design reflects this as well with his tie. its harder to see in game, but in the key art its clearly sky blue with a little cloud pattern. the sky is usually associated with flying types, but because its a tie its super subtle and out of the way as a distinguisher. i suppose the button pattern on his suit sleeves could resemble feathers, and the black triangles on the lapels make the bottom pair seem like wings, but these are more loose conclusions for subtle details

like this shit is actually so good because you never think twice about these sorts of things until later in the game.. which is what good foreshadowing is all about. i appreciate this aspect of his character immensely

KIERAN HEADCANONS

-EXTREMELY AUTISTIC (guess what his special interest is lol)

-Picked on a lot by other kids- especially his sister- for his special interest in Ogerpon. This is what mainly caused his anxiety.

-^ Going along with the previous headcanon, he doesn't have ANY friends until he meets the player character in the DLC

-Regularly leaves out little food and flower gifts outside of Ogerpon's cave, has been doing so for years

-Memorized the Ogerpon/Loyal Three story by heart, has a special edition book telling the story with very nice illustrations

-A pretty good mask maker! He inherited the skill from his grandfather and has made countless Ogerpon masks

-His Dipplin and Furret have been his partners since forever- unfortunately, he rashly releases his Furret sometime during the DLC because he's frustrated they're not strong enough

-A big fan of strong trainers in general, thinks the Galar Leauge is really cool and watches most of the Gym Challenge battles when they're in season

-They once vandalized the Loyal Three dedication shrine (wrote some mean words on it) when they were younger

-His grandparents HATE new technology, so that's why they don't let him have a phone (Carmine's an adult so they let her do whatever)

-While the Player and Carmine find Ogerpon on the night of the festival, Kieran is drawn away from the crowd by a strange figure, who drops a magenta colored-chain... Kieran puts on said chain out of curiosity and it burns into his skin, staying there permanently and slowly releasing toxins.

another raileon ramblings

raihan flirts with leon by telling him pokemon facts. but since leon love to listen when raihan is talking, he unconsciously press raihan to tell him more, making raihan telling him a whole story about each of the baby pokemon characteristic he'd ever take care of

raihan tells leon stories about this particular gible who doesnt like to bite that much and is very shy, a shiny goomy named banana that he thought would die but lives until it becomes a goodra, and plenty more

sure, leon can listen about those facts from sonia, but leon thought the way sonia explains them is too "generic" since she learns them from books and conferences, she doesnt dwell with pokemon as much as raihan. hearing "ive met a bagon named apple pie who likes to destroy legos" is far more interesting than " a bagon is a dragon type pokemon with ashy blue scales"

at first, theyre not pressing their bodies close to each other, but as time flies, leon is literally pressing the side of his body to raihan. raihan can see the way leons eyes sparkles and the way his golden eyes crinkle when he smiles. its a miracle raihan didnt stutter when hes telling his everyday experience.

he wishes one day, he could do this with leon, but as boyfriends.

or husbands! with kids, if, leon wants that

What mons are Irida and Adaman in the Centaur au? Irida's probably something from the icelands, maybe an abomasnow or lucario, and Adaman would probably be something from the Mirelands (my heart says Yanmega or Rhydon or maybe Whiscash?)
