I read on an aesthetic post once, "it's pursuing science but desiring art"
I’m required to keep a journal for my honors class. It’s a nice little break from my engineering studies to do a little art.
1920: lace gloves, diamond chandeliers, dry cocktails, curtains blowing in the wind, heartbreak, cigarettes, swollen lips, silver feathers, pearls on the floor
1950: bubblegum, sewing kits, red lipstick, kissing at the drive-in, static on tv, coca-cola, diner booths, whispering secrets, always sad, strawberry milkshakes
1960: cat-eyes, pink bikinis, type writers, rock music, heart-shaped sunglasses, cheeseburgers, florescent lights, leather sofas, anti-government
1970: roller-skates, acceptance, suede, roses, picking daises, at war, and angry, falling asleep, lip gloss, reading in the grass, bad music, burning candles
1980: neon lights, smudged mascara, corded phones, stepping on a lego, butterfly tattoo, star wars, loud arcades, riding your bike with friends, ponytail
1990: silver sneakers, patches on your backpack, young love, denim jackets, cartoons and comics, too close to death, swimming pools, mixtapes, black
2000: babydoll pink, soft-serve ice cream, sunglasses, the smell of chemicals, crushed velvet, sports, cell phones, wild highlights, teenage rebellion
2010: nostaligia, frosted donuts, glitter, sadness, big scarves, coffee, stickers, watering your plants, tangled headphones, bullet journals, greasy pizza
Red boys: Passionate™, jawline kisses and well pretty much kisses everywhere else too tbh, they have a stack of books they still haven’t read, always hot like it could be freezing outside and they’d still be warm, smells like cinnamon candies and looks like a sunset, acts out a lot but is actually a pretty chill person
Blue boys: Pool aesthetic but also rainy day aesthetic, a voice like thunder and a heart like lightning, read a book donate a book, they’re either wearing blue jeans or swim shorts there is no in between, they smell like chlorine and fresh cotton, they live on slushies and nothing else, fish > literally every other animal
Green boys: Tired eyes that sparkle in the sunshine, says “lets go exploring” at least once every day, RDF (resting disappointment face), forest aesthetic covered up with retro aesthetic, could probably disconnect from society at any moment, camping trips without sleep, a vegan but you’d never know
Yellow boys: They either eat everything or forget to eat, catch and release fishing trips, literal ray of sunshine until you cross them, always cold unless it’s over 21°C, early bird, carefree, self love posts on the daily, the softest skin out of every human being honest to god, doesn’t know how to show affection other than to a few select people
Purple boys: They always smell like lavender no matter what, always has a song stuck in their head, it’s probably an old nursery rhyme, too many pillows™, bad jokes that are somehow comforting, old sayings that no one understands, brightly coloured hair that never seems to fade, webcomics, has almost never been seen with unpainted nails
Orange boys: Pumpkin spice for days, forever autumn, can’t do their makeup but that doesn’t mean they’re not gonna do it, has a sweetly crisp scent like Halloween night, stronger than they think, runs an aesthetic side blog to distract from their shitposting blog, chants “this is Halloween” in August, has a specific spot set up for watching the sunset
Fantasy boys: Daydreaming, reading under the covers, pressed flowers, being loyal to your friends no matter what, calligraphy, stargazing, messy wild hair, walking barefoot, cherry blossoms
Romance boys: Rosy cheeks, being a hopeless romantic, cheesy cliches, clumsiness, physical affection, kissing your friends platonically, bouquets, dinner by candlelight, watching the sunset
Horror boys: Gore aesthetic, 2 am drinks, the color red, vintage clothes, cottages, road trips, sleepovers, pretty knives, collages, nostalgic stuff, haunted houses, paranormal stuff
Comedy boys: Smiley faces, bright colours, impulsivity, class clown, untied laces, stickers, candy, fighting with your family but still loving them, late night snack runs with your friends
Action boys: Angery, always getting into drama, sports, probably needs a shower tbh, sarcasm x100, fighting for what’s right, being goofy without meaning to be, a l i e n s
[this is a bit… dark, but i made it for the girls who aren’t sunshine-and-rainbows like most posts like these are for]
pink sky: cotton candy, winged eyeliner, dirty jokes, running through fields, cute buttons on a leather jacket, getting drunk at 2am, sugar-coated peanuts, black nail polish, sweet smiles
blue sky: old movies, the atmosphere when it’s dusk, dissociating, coping with your problems by never thinking about them, rain, instrumentals from songs, unrequited love, old soul, the feeling of decaying, soft hearts
orange sky: whiskey, never talking about it, was careless in the past, old 80s synth pop, the word “rancid”, sickly sweet, harsh make-up, longs for a childhood, clunky shoes, jewelery,
yellow sky: heartbreak, birds in the morning, wants to recover, gullible, mature because of trauma, confused about a lot, fake smile, yellow converse, sunflowers, sobbing into pillows, pills, the dreamy haze when you’re high
purple sky: loud music, blocking the world out, yells a lot, black lipstick, dark chocolate, neon lights, black coffee, open about emotions, heart of gold, wants to be loved, plays electric guitar, reckless, never taught how to love people
white sky: pondering at 2am, being alone with your thoughts, cloudy heads, dancing in the rain, whispers, acoustic music, sleeping through therapy, old shoe laces, recovery
classic red - cotton candy lollipops, sequin converse, art galleries, leather skirts, fold hoops, rooftop gardens, vintage cars, balloon arches
understated nude - skateboards with a wobbly wheel, beach nights, acoustic guitars, antique shops, wild highlights, paint-stained fingers
perfect plum - uneven bangs, lace tights, ceramic mugs, half-finished books, knitting needles and wool yarn, bare feet on hardwood floors, scented markers

Set It Up (dir. Claire Scanlon)
So I’ll be graduating high school in less than two months.
I can honestly say that I hated a lot of my high school career. I really can’t wait to graduate. But I know that when I walk across that stage to get my diploma the following thoughts will run through my head.
“Oh yeah, bout to get my ‘ploma.”
Pietro Maximoff “You didn’t see that coming?” *I tried.
Today, June 23 is International Women in Engineering Day. We have many talented women across NASA that contribute to our success to reach for new heights and reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind.
