How are lupin and Sirius going to celebrate Valentine's Day?

im glad u asked! im actually writing a drabble about this just now. 

- sirius (obviously) LOVES valentine’s day and insists on going as over the top as he can every single time

- remus is NOT A FAN of valentine’s day, or emotions in general tbh

- but this year, sirius and remus have been going through a rocky stage of their relationship; arguing constantly about every little thing and not talking to each other for days. because of this, sirius has been really down and moody recently and doesn’t plan anything for valentine’s as he doesn’t see the point

- moony, however, hasn’t forgotten the past years and how much effort sirius likes to put into getting gifts for him, so he knows he has to do something

- it is common knowledge that remus cannot cook to save his life. he’s actually been banned from the kitchen by lily because of an incident involving some toast, so he knows he can’t make a nice meal like he wants to (sirius doesn’t like going out to eat because he gets uncomfortable eating in front of others)

- so remus is panicking for ideas and of course turns to the love guru himself, james

- after fangirling extensively over how stressed remus is getting about trying to do something nice for sirius, james points out the obvious - sirius is the soppiest person alive and likes to spend valentine’s like he’s starring in a rom-com movie. as well as this, sirius is also the biggest pizza-slut on earth, so put two and two together and remus knows what to do

- it’s very simple, and at first he’s worried that it’ll be a let down compared to what sirius would have planned himself, but remus settles on ordering sirius’ favourite pizza, filling the room with sirius’ favourite mulled-wine candles, and buying the most Extra bunch of red roses he can find 

- when sirius gets home that evening, remus is shitting himself with self-doubt, but nevertheless he puts on sirius’ fave bowie album and goes to meet him at the door

- it seems to take forever for sirius to take it all in, and for a second remus thinks that he’s Fucked Up because sirius literally just stares at the candles, at remus, at the roses he’s holding, and says nothing

- but when remus kisses him on the cheek and hands him the flowers, there are tears brimming in sirius’ eyes, because after all the arguments and the doubt and the harsh words from both of them, sirius knows his moony loves him, because remus would never do anything like this for anyone else

- starman has never been the best song to slow dance to, but sirius insists that no cliched romantic evening is complete without a slow dance, and remus can’t exactly say no

- basically remus forgets his hatred of feelings and spends the entire evening telling sirius that he loves him while sirius cries because he’s so happy. there is lots of cuddling and playing with hair and forehead kisses 

- also the next day sirius literally takes the bunch of roses outside and walks around with them hoping that someone asks where he got them from so he can rant endlessly about how he has THE BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE WORLD WHO IS MOST DEFINITELY BETTER THAN YOURS

Person B: Loud, Obnoxious, Probably ate all the candy in the jar then guessed zero, Mega dork and proud

But also...

Person B: Compassionate, Scary threat when provoked, Very chill when mellow, Keeps things bottled up and fakes smiles to get through the day, Very tol

Person A: Standoffish, High and mighty complex, Angry at everything and everyone, Cries at everything, Emotionally stunted due to tragic past, Very smol but will fight you

Y’all okay with another types of boys post?

Backyard boys: Literal walking sunshine, golden glitter and freshly cut grass, summer barbecues on an open fire, they are the sweetest boys you will ever meet like they are sweeter than sweet tea, any gathering that has friends and family all together is the best thing to them

Tin boys: They seem cold and distant but they’re actually looking for someone who gets it, they walk to clear their head, they are a cold hard grey on the color scale, probably smells like a department store, act like nothing can hurt them but a lot does

Waterbottle boys: Freshly mowed football fields and old leatherman jackets, tries their best, has too many baseball cards, skinny jeans and plain tees, probably listens to hip-hop but don’t tell anyone, doesn’t drink anything but water, a walking student-athlete meme

Cookie boys: Is never out of the kitchen, always covered in flour or some other kind of baking material, makes the best cookies, can whip up recipes in 5 seconds flat, messy hair probably has batter in it, stressed out 24/7, whats sleep?????

Bowtie boys: 98% Mature 2% dad jokes, worn out vests, probably knows how to play at least two orchestra instruments, sings in the shower, walls covered in plans for the future, history buffs, acts like they know a lot about fashion but they’re honestly so confused

Dandelion boys: See the good in every situation, constantly changing something about them and striving to be the best person they can, only wears pastel shirts and leggings, says thank you to the bus driver, positive posts daily, their favorite holiday is new years, never gets angry except when they do watch out

Fire lily boys: Hot headed but speaks the truth, early mornings tending to plants, loves nature more than people, is a delicate bean be careful, plants > people, only wears old band tees and faded jeans, walls are probably covered in punk lyrics and quotes, stubborn as mule even when it comes to the simplest tasks, truly an enigma

TIPS:

Remember that today’s day in age is different from how it was back then. So don’t stress about school too much.High school students today have the anxiety of what a mental patient in the insane asylum had in the 50s. Here’s also a thing to show how times have changed.

Prioritize. List what needs to get done first and when. Sometimes getting the bigger/harder tasks is easier than conquering the smaller/easier tasks.

Set times when certain projects need to be done and stick to that deadline.

Turn your phone off or give it to your parents while doing work/studying. I know that we live in the age of technology and literally everything is at the touch of our fingertips. Honestly though you can wait on what your favorite celebrity has to say or if your crush liked your instagram photo. You’ll be more involved in that than you are into your work.

If you have trouble in a certain subject and there is no assigned seating, take advantage of the front. I guarantee you’ll learn more.

Ask your teacher what exactly you’ll need to know. If you’re taking notes during the year, write in the margins whether or not it will be tested. It will be easier to know what you will be tested on.

Save your exams. Half the time your teachers use the same questions (or questions similar) from your exams on your midterms or finals.

Don’t try to do homework straight afterschool if you can’t, despite what everyone says. Give yourself an hour, and try to get some exercise in. I find it stops me getting bored of sitting down. Not to mention helps me concentrate better.

Don’t just read the material, write it, draw it, recite it, quiz yourself on it! Until you have the material down.

Join clubs, sports, or organizations! You’re guaranteed to find friends in there. You’ll already have common interests. Start with that and go with the flow.

College kids: If you don’t have assigned seating, and you have been sitting in the same seat for 2 weeks. That is you assigned seat now. Don’t move or you’ll screw everyone up and they will hate you.

Color code things, such as your notes. If you want to see how I color code my notes message me and I’ll be happy to show you.
