modern day retelling of sisyphus where instead of pushing a rock up a hill he’s having the worst time getting a fitted sheet onto a queen-sized mattress

These man made horrors are beyond YOUR comprehension. I get it though.

To Mick ordering the Oolong tea at the bar in The Next Page (4.29) in honour of Sasha because he remembered the drink she likes
idk if anyone's said this before but the fact that tma opens on angler fish is so amazingly poetic. the symbolism of jon being drawn in by the surface level knowledge he thought the magnus institute would provide only to be consumed and swallowed whole by the unnatural, twisted reality? *chef's kiss*

You want me to fall in love? The thing that killed Martin K. Blackwood?
“Here you are never truly lost or forgotten.”
Over the Garden Wall is great because you can watch the entire thing in an hour and fifty minutes and then think about it nonstop for the rest of your life.
the thing is, i think horror needs to have a little love. it needs to have an obsession. does the parasite in your body love you? it raises you from the dead, it sustains you. this is its body. this is your body. does the haunted house feel intruded upon? is it hungry? what is hatred but adoration?
My favorite statement givers in tma are the people who only survived because they did not give a single fuck about what was happening and just accepted that that was their life now.
