Happy Year of New!!!! The Earth has made its way around the sun and here we all are!!! Let me just say how proud I am of us all, getting here wasn't the easiest task for many of us. But we made it. We got to see the dawn rise on a new year, filled with new opportunities and new chances to live our best lives.
"But Lola, what is my best life?" You may ask. And to that I say "Doing anything that makes you happy, regardless of what others think." It doesn't have to be a big thing or anything flashy or even something you can see now, but whatever lays on the horizon will be something that you can enjoy, and nobody can ever take that joy away from you.
Chin up, everyone. We're gonna make it through this year too. You've all got this, no matter what. And I am so proud of us all.

Happy 1 year anniversary HLVRAI! I can't express how much this entire series means to me and I really wish I could've done something nice for the day itself, but my schedule is much too full at the moment, so it'll have to wait.

With vanilla extract being a meme, I wanted to share some black history of Edmond Albius a black slave who revolutionized vanilla pollination.
He used a technique he learned of pollinating melons to polinate the orchids to create the vanilla beans. Vanilla was rare and a luxury mainly due to only being able to be pollinated by its natural pollinator in Mexico.
unfortanely, he didnt receive any money for his discovery despite being called the main man who revolutionized pollination, he died in poverty...

Unfortunately, the one they currently find themselves at is not quite as barren of intelligent life as they may have once thought.
