In light of the recent PostPlus nonsense tumblr is trying to pull, here's a reminder that monetization of fanfiction can lead you to legal trouble. On Ao3 it's against the TOS to even mention any money-sending site at all because of the conditonal protection they offer.

Putting your entire fanfiction blog behind a paywall is like pointing a neon sign saying "please sue me". I bring this up specifically because tumblr mentioned fanfiction in the post that they made and that is going to leave a lot of people misinformed.

Remember: Do NOT paywall your fanworks.

And rest assured, my blog will never be pay-to-read, even if this weren't a fanfiction blog. I think the whole thing is ridiculous.

Anyways, y’all better start saving your fave fanfics and fanart under the Disney labels cause it looks like they’re trying to curb fair use/fanworks and I’m sure there’s going to be mass panicked deletions even though it’s probably unnecessary cause AO3′s legal team will fight for us.

Late last year I wanted to start a series of short tutorials called Tip Jar, as a way of saying thanks to my fans and giving back to my patrons. This is the first of the series I have made, showing my technique on quickly filling in lineart so you can get to painting without coloring outside the lines faster. 

Someday I hope to turn these into video tutorials when I have the income and the time, but for now I hope that I will be able to share useful tips in this infographic format.

I was just wondering something.

Has anyone else stumbled onto problems with artfol? I’m not talking about the lag here but the ability to post art.

For some reason, I’m unable to post anything but text (and yes, I have an artist account). When I go to post artwork through the + button at the bottom or the lil image at the top, it leads me to the gallery/file reader but when I chose one pic it brings me back to the app without doing anything.

I made my account four days ago and contacted in DM the official account two/three days ago but they still haven’t answered me and I found only two or three other people having issues like that.

So yeah if anyone knows why lmao it would be great.

I did a artfol! There's nothing on it for now because of the lag, but I'll add some of the stuff I have on my phone later. The username is the same as always; lokisbur.

Since it's juste one pic at the time it makes a great portfolio for lone illustration or else so I'll use it as such.

What saddens me is that it's only for visual arts, so my writings do not enter that category and won't be on there.
