Did I mention I participate in this year's HxH Big Bang? Because I do :) And I haven't drawn the boys for ages, so here we go)
You know how in most Summoning Danny pieces, it's either some unnamed cult or John Constantine doing the actual circle drawing and chanting and stuff? And while, yes, it makes sense, consider this: Constantine doesn't know shit about summoning ghosts/entities from Infinite Realms. He is more than knowledgeable in summoning demons and biblical horrors and gods and whatnot, but the Realms are an entirely different field of tricky fuckery, and require a completely different skillset and knowledge of different runes and stuff.
Think about it like being a dentist and then getting asked to perform neurosurgery. Like, yes, sure, you're a doctor, and both areas are generally head-related, but it's not your specialty, you don't know anything about it aside from the most general stuff.
So, when the JL needs to summon the Ghost King for whatever reason, and they ask John Constantine, he doesn't start drawing runes on the floor. Instead, he calls a friend.
An hour later, the whole Justice League is graced by the presence of a very young, very obviously goth girl with a sharp tongue, who makes it a point to express how not pleased she is to meet them.
Samantha Manson is rather unimpressed by both the hero assembly in front of her and the alleged world-ending threat she is shown. She doesn't call for Ghost King or anything like that, even, she just clicks her tongue, asks for a pinch of sea salt, a bouquet of any flowers they can find, a mirror, and a few other nonsensical items of choice.
The threat is eliminated within minutes with a bunch of weird magic that no one, not even the members of the JLD, understands.
"You don't need the King for this shit," Samantha Manson says, brushing her hands off, "It'd be like fighting a single cockroach with a nuclear explosion. Don't call me again."
They do call her again, of course. Several times over the years of fighting off all the things that come for Earth.
Until on one memorable occasion, she does summon the Ghost King, and the teen angst bullshit goes from bad to worse in a matter of seconds. Apparently, the King is of the same age as Samantha, and boy, do they have beef with each other.
At least the world does get saved in the process, so there's that.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part4.5
“Sooo, you’re just going to trust him with your car?”
“Yeah.” Danny said in just as disbelieving of a tone as Sam. “I think he genuinely means this as like a payment for saving his butt regardless of, you know, everything.”
“I didn’t think Dash of all people could change.” Tucker chimed in
“Same!” Danny exclaimed, almost flinging his sandwich as his arms came up in emphasis.
“Oh come on, did he really change if he’s just doing this to make himself feel better? He hasn’t even apologized about anything.” Sam countered.
Sam did believe people could change for the better. Or worse even. She just didn’t think Dash made it into this category of person. She believed he was destined to peak in high school, play college football and never shut up about his glory days to his wife and 2.5 kids. To say she was still suspicious was an understatement.
“Honestly Sam,” Danny started, pointing his sandwich at her, “I don’t think I care if it means saving 500 bucks.”
“I can’t argue with that.” Tucker mumbled, having already taken Danny’s side of the whole thing but not wanting to face Sam’s irritation.
She rolled her eyes, “Just don’t expect much of him.”
“I don’t. I just expect him to fix my car.” Danny replied. With a shrug, he continued, “And worse comes to worse, if he messes up my car I can just fly or ride my bike until I save up enough to have a shop fix it.”
“Oh! By the way, Tucker” Danny said, turning to his friend. “I’m not going to be able to give you a ride tomorrow. I don’t want to drive my car right now if I can help it.”
“All good dude.” Tucker responded nonchalantly. “I don’t exactly trust your car right now either.”
“I can take you.” Sam offered.
“Yes please” Tucker accepted. He didn't love getting into a hearse-ever- but it was better than the bus.
The bell rang in the distance, signaling the end of their lunch hour. Danny took the last two bites of his meal as the trio started packing up their bags and headed in to finish out the rest of the school day

Hello!
So this is just a little extra bit for fun. Not much happens, but I felt like it was important to see Danny updating the crew, so you know that Sam and Tucker get kept in the loop (for the most part. Danny's didn't share Dash's gay bit)
Also- the hearse- I was reading a fanfic (I'll try to find it) where the author mentioned Sam drove a hearse and I latched onto that immediately. It's too perfect in my opinion
I have part 5 outlined and 3/4 of the pages paneled out, so I'm still on schedule for getting it up by around tues/wed time
Glad ya'll are still enjoying this silly idea. See ya next week

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part4.5
having medusa draw parallels between herself and annabeth was such a crazy choice because ? here annabeth is now, being punished for something a son of poseidon did… exactly as medusa told the story a few hours ago…
Jason is holding the gun Danny’s in front but also flying behind? Idk maybe Danny got split into Danny Fenton and Danny phantom. Tim is the annoyed one in the second photo he hasn’t had enough coffee yet
I've been getting the wrong kind of allowance my whole life 😭😭
fr the show titles are giving it a bit but they seem kinda random without Percy actually saying that stuff as much
kind of miss Percy's completely unhinged inner monologue
It’s so true
a really little animated black cat with giant eyes and no other discernible features
Rewatched this show recently. It makes me nauseous
Not to get emo on main but you ever think about how the troop sang about their dreams of finding “a girl worth fighting for”, and they think their girl worth fighting for is one of romance, but the song abruptly comes to a halt when they find a different girl worth fighting for.
A tiny girl that had been killed at the hands of the Huns. A child too weak, too small to have any chance of withstanding the murderous invaders. That is their girl worth fighting for.
