This was the most challenging prompt so far; I wanted to get it just right, but it was a lot of fun writing for the two of them.

Letting the glow in her hand dissipate into nothing, Alina stepped into the shafts of moonlight, looking down at her feet as if she were stepping into an ocean. There was no cold wetness around her toes, but to her surprise she could feel the light where it hit her skin. Moonlight was just reflected sunlight, after all, and she was the Sun Summoner.

She gave a little huff of awed breath, wiggling her toes in the light.

‘This room is already taken for brooding.’

The voice came from nowhere, and Alina startled as the words echoed around the empty ballroom, her hands coming up defensively as she called a ball of light to her hands.

‘Oh please,’ came the voice again, and Alina only half relaxed as she saw Zoya, leaning against the wall by one of the arched windows. ‘Word is you can barely light a doorway on your own. What are you going to do with that?’

Nina,to Zoya: But I can change him-

Zoya: Why, did he shit himself?

Nina Zenik is COMPLETE!

After 5 months I was able to take her to a convention and get some photos! I am insanely proud of how this cosplay turned out. Its wild to see it all together, instead of pieces thrown around my craft space. I have been dreaming of doing a Nina Zenik cosplay since I read SIX of Crows and this look was everything from the show!

The hat was comissioned from The Unlikely Milliner on Instsgram. It is absolutely gorgeous!

Adding little details to cosplays is my favorite thing to do! This lettering turned out so well! Used the books as reference for how it would look on the cuffs.

I may have spent more time than I care to admit on this petticoat. About 20 yards of ruffles hand embroidered. The design is pulled from the upper half of the heart heartrender keftas.

This has easily become one of my favorite cosplays! I'm so excited to get her out more and and hopefully meet up with some other Grisha fans in the future!!

Y’know I was thinking about starting a femslash fic rec Friday…but I got too excited so yall get my thoughts on this fine Monday.

GUYS I FOUND A MEDIUM-LONG FIC FOR TAMADIA ON AO3. With the Grishaverse femslash works they barely get oneshots—I can’t wait to read this one.

Does anyone else think about the differences between worshipping Saints?

For there has to be difference between East and West Ravka, nomadic Suli vs. stationary Ravkans, etc.

What headcanons or fanon have you constructed or used in your stories?

I think it’s interesting seeing how Inej practices her faith:

Inej knows she doesn’t need a fancy chapel to pray, but she does have physical reminders of the Saints that also have multiple uses and are easy to travel with.

Versus the Ravkan population who goes to “Church” which would be tied heavily to the Crown and the Apparat influence.

They put a lot more importance on study and the Saints are seen as almost gods to fear versus role models to emulate (that’s how I think Inej and her specific Caravan view the Saints).

What are your thoughts? I know the religions in the Grishaverse are…flimsy…but do you have anything to add? If you could change something what would you change? Are there any aspects of these fantasy religions that you hadn’t seen before or fascinated you?
