In reality he just faked his death and ended up running away where he lived on the streets for over a year no one managing to spot him while he hid, not realizing people weren’t after him anymore. In this one day he ended up hiding near the way station and Jo and Emmie found this scared child and took him in. I could see him not talking much and becoming close with Jo and Emmie then in this headcanon him and Lit end up together There- idk my brain decided Lit would protect Ethan
