Annual reblog of the liminal spacemas from instachaz
when Clark was a baby and first learning to walk, Jonathan would always follow close behind with his arms out, ready to pick Clark up the second he tripped and fell (as all babies do when learning how to use their legs)
30 years later, when every time he watches his boy—Superman—leap from the front porch and take to the sky, he still feels his arms twitch with the urge to reach out and catch, just in case. even if it’s unlikely that Clark will ever fall again.

One shot. One single shot, and he immediately nails the spirit of Superman.
I also love that it's apparently David Corenswet who valued having the trunks. He said he didn't want kids to feel threatened or afraid of Superman, and the trunks would make him more approachable. THAT MAN embodies the character already, and we haven't got anything other than a TEASER yet.
Supportive parent Bruce Wayne
Damian showing him all his artwork because he knows that he will get the brightest smile and a “That looks beautiful sweetheart” every time
Dick being so excited to bring his dad to his gymnastics show because he knows that Bruce will start crying every time he lands a trick, without fail, and that means the women that come to watch will have someone else to fuss over
Someone at WE mentioning they don’t trust Tim because of his age and Bruce immediately scheduling a company wide meeting so he can express just how exceptional his son is. Tim’s face is the most red it has ever been the entire time
Cass doesn’t even have to do anything, he is just always looking at her with a fond little smile and on the verge of tears but sometimes, when she wants a little more then normal, she will take one of Jason’s books and read as much as she can aloud. That man absolutely loses it and hugs her as tight as he can while sobbing about how far his baby has come
Jason acts like he could care less about Bruce’s support, but the first time he overhears Bruce talking about him at a gala, telling some rich idiot who was questioning business decisions that Jason is the most competent man he has ever known and would trust him with not only the WE weapons department but his life, Jason pointedly does not look at Dick, who has a shit eating grin on his face, and walks as fast as he can to the bathroom
The best part is that Bruce doesnt even have to try he is just genuinely that proud of them
Jason: wow demon brat, the replacement was right about you.
Damian: ?
Jason: well earlier we were talking and he said the reason you're so aggressive is because you lack battle sense and never have a decent plan apart from 'stab and hope for the best'
Damian:
Damian: oh, Drake said that did he? well we'll see if he still thinks that after i've carefully destroyed his entire LIFE.
Dick and Jason, watching Damian angrily storm away to plot:
Dick to Jason: why the everloving FUCK would you do that?! Tim didn't say shit, and they JUST started getting along.
Jason: exactly, dipshit. do you even understand how terrifying it is when those two work together? do you really want the real 'worlds greatest detective' and B's demon brat 'blood son' to team up against everyone else? do you really want the two youngest to focus their sights on the two oldest? do you really want that, dickface!?
Dick:
Jason: remember last year, when they started bonding over that human trafficking case B paired them up on? they declared themselves 'besties' and almost took over half of Bludhaven before i paid Alfred to pit them against each other during monopoly
Dick:
Dick: oh my god you're right. they'll turn against us and we'll be dead by the end of the week.
Jason: exactly. it's our job as their elder brothers to make sure they don't get too chummy.
Dick: ...just don't tell Bruce.
“Mom!”
“What?”
“Mom!”
Bruce raised an eyebrow but didn’t look away from his laptop. “What?”
“MOM!”
“WHAT?” Bruce shouted back, finally closing his laptop after figuring out he wasn’t going to get any more work done for the day.
Bruce peaked his head out of his study and sighed when he saw Tim motioning for him to follow him. “Tim I swear if someone’s bleeding out again-“
“Ugh no! Will you let that go already?” Tim rolled his eyes and tugged on Bruce’s arms, dragging him into the kitchen.
“Can I eat this?” Tim opened the fridge and pointed at a box of sushi in the fridge.
“What? No, that’s yours brother’s.” Bruce shook his head, wondering if this was all that Tim called him for.
“Yeah… but it’s been in here for an hour. I don’t think Dick’s coming back for it Dad.” Tim said, hands reaching for the box, licking his lips like a cartoon villain.
Bruce lightly smacked Tim’s hands away and closed the fridge. “Stop that. You know Dick would kill you. Go find something else to eat.”
“But there’s nothing!” Tim whined, dramatically throwing himself on a counter and dragging his upper half around like a child. “Can I order sushi then?”
“No, especially after you and Stephanie misappropriated your bank account for that prank last week? That’s funny, make a sandwich.” Bruce chuckled softly, ruffling Tim’s already messy hair and stopping himself from bursting out laughing as Tim grumbled and tried to seat his hand away.
Bruce left the kitchen with Tim still trying to bargain. “If you eat the sushi I’ll tell your brother it was you!” Bruce called out, his only response and offended and betrayed shout of ‘Mom’.
