Winter Studying Challenge

December 13: When do you buy your Christmas presents?

I normally buy Christmas presents in October and November.

December 14: Share a memorable gift— opening moment of childhood.

The one gift that stands out would be when my parents bought me an English Composition Textbook, they knew I was struggling in class particularly with writing back in fourth grade. By the way, in Florida and in my school we have an exam in fourth grade to evaluate our writing skills (includes both our handwriting and the content) for the first time and our grade there determines our position for the next year and it also determines if we get held back or not. I would read and take notes, writing essays throughout all of break up until the day of the exam. I scored a five so I was pretty proud and I know I got the point off because my handwriting has always been complex to understand. I interpreted the textbook as my parents trying their best to help me, they don’t speak or write in English so they couldn’t help me in any other way I guess, in a subject I was struggling with.

I’m going to start small and take the 100 days of productivity 30 days at a time, what do you think?

My favorite aspect of the winter, well, there’s a lot that I like about winter equally; here’s a list:

Holiday films

Plush blankets with spruce candles

Hot chocolate with my family

Studying during winter break

Working out at anytime

Making a Christmas tree

Watching the Harry Potter films in December along with 25 holiday movies on ABC family

Reading in front of candles that smell like cookies

Baking

Meeting up with my friends

Starbucks cups!

Starbucks specialty drinks

All the food I get to binge I mean eat (Spring semester is Starving time)

Sleeping in

Spending time with my family

Beating my dad at dominos

Beating my friends at dominos

The holiday music

Watching my 600 lb life while writing notes

Reading books that aren’t required for school

The goal I set to as Time to learn 11 languages on Duolingo

@studywithpaula and someone with close handwriting to hers is @luciaastudies! I love how every letter has almost equal space on the page and how straight they can write. My favorite font is Courier new, can you tell?
