First of all, I don't want to shame anyone for liking any of these characters. Hell, I even do myself! This is not a personal attack on people who don't see any problems with them—just my personal opinion!

Let's talk about vees. Yeah, these vees we ALL LOVE: Valentino, Vox, and Velvette, respectively. Our beloved pron industry, television, and fashion industry, which are supposed to represent countless problems and crimes that people who set up this system commit. Let's see how, in my subjective, biased opinion, these three handle this task.

He fucks with Val a lot, but if his head wasn’t a literal TV, I don't think it would be that easy to figure out that he is THE television as a whole. He looks more like a random television host who really hates radio... or really wants Alastor. It's up to the free interpretation of the viewer. The problem of disingenuous advertising, corruption, and straight-up disinformation on TV is elegantly skipped. I think those are too heavy topics for an 18+ not for kids series.

Valentino, also known as the worst design downgrade in history, is just a criminally underwritten character, especially for a topic as serious as the porn industry. He is just a huge spit in the face to every victim of the porn empire. I hope minimal people of this kind are going to watch Hazbin Hotel. And, by the way, did you know he's a fucking moth? Vivienne Morano actually said, “So, have you considered that you are the problem?” to a weman who had suffered from toxic beauty standards. And intentional or not, it's just not the best message to put in your work, especially if it’s supposed to promote support for women's rights.

unless they specifically asked, you don’t get to tell a fanfic writer you think they mischaracterized the character by the way. because the second someone writes a fanfic about a character, that character becomes the writer’s own version of the character. canon is only a suggestion, but whether or not an author will follow it / how much of canon an author will take is entirely up to them. you don’t get to stick your nose in their world and tell them “hey this is not to my liking therefore I think you’re doing it wrong” when you can simply leave quietly and move on to something else you may enjoy

And then everyone lost in the final battle. Vi held her own in the first half by surviving. Her and piano man were the only ones not dead by the time the Undercity Armada and Magic Mel showed up. And then everyone lost to the perfection bots except Ekko. and Ekko did arguably cheat a little.

Anyway, had enough of the libel about my angry oil slick and her over designed bitch mittens. Vi won. So many times. When she saved someone she cared about. When she got back up after getting knocked down. Shielding the people she loved.
