14-09-2020|| Went into quarantine four days ago with my housemates after two of them tested positive for Corona. We are with nine in total, so itโs challenging but we make the best of it. Worked on my notes for Biogeochemistry today, its very interesting to look at marine biology from a maths/chemistry perspective! Itโs 30 degrees Celsius today (?!), so trying to get as much sunlight as possible from my room! My 34 plants are keeping me company, they look so happy in the sun :)ย
it feels like these two words are interchangable but then I wondered if theyโre similar toย โmany andย โmuchโ, with similar meanings but used in different contexts. so I had to look it up and it seems theres is a bit of nuance to them!ย
๋งค์ฐ: very ์์ฃผ: very, completely, a lot, a step aboveย ๋งค์ฐ ๋๋ฌด: too, or excessively ์์ : completely ์ ๋ง:ย really, trulyย ์ง์ง: really, genuine, more informal thanย ์ ๋ง (but not by much) ๋๊ฒ: (not to be confused withย ๋๊ฒํ๋ค which comes fromย ๋๋ค) strongly, so much, very much
๋๋ฌด is typically used is negative situations (too expensive, too spicy, etc) and ์์ฃผ is used with positive situations. Now people have started to useย ๋๋ฌด positively or sarcastically like how you would sayย โshes too prettyโ its framed negative but its a compliment and positive, this is more casual and close to slang so its used like this in informal contexts
the difference betweenย ์ ๋ง andย ์ง์ง isnt much theyre pretty synonymously used it seems butย ์ ๋ง means more being truthful (์ for truth/right ๋ง for speech) andย ์ง์ง is means like genuine (์ง fromย ็ for genuine ์ง for a thing) so I guess you can think of it along the lines of โfor real?โ
Just one last week till my finals and what can I say? Im exhausted. I study everyday. My diet consists of fat and sugar. And Iโm sleep deprived . Iโm so so tired. BUT Iโm happy. Iโm happier than Iโve ever been in the last two years and changing my subject, pursuing what I love was definitely the right decision! I
just like itโs important that we let people embrace and be flamboyant with their gender, we must allow people to have gender be a nonimportant part of their identity. a cis woman can love being feminine and claim her womanhood loud and proud, just like another cis woman can just be โwhateverโ about it. a trans woman can be hyperfeminine and proud, while another can just say โyeah iโm a womanโ without it being a gigantic deal to her. a non-binary person doesnโt have to be constantly torn up about their gender identity to be non-binary. all experiences of gender are unique and valid in their own way.

This is quite a extensive post so grab a pen and some paper andbrace yourselves! XD Thereโs also a really helpful table at the bottom of the post so please check that out for help with honorifics!
If the last letter of a word stem ends in ใ (์ฝ๋ค = easy), the ใ changes to ์ฐ when adding a vowel. ์ฐ then gets added to the next syllable in the conjugated word.
This is mostly done with adjectives. Many verbs end with ใ but this rule is rarely applied to verbs (some of the few verbs where this rule applies are: ์ค๋ค (to pick up), ๋๋ค (to lie down)). For example:
์ฝ๋ค = to be easy ์ฝ + ์ด = ์ฌ + ์ฐ + ์ด = ์ฌ์ ๊ทธ๊ฒ์ ์ฌ์ = That is easy
์ด๋ ต๋ค = to be difficult ์ด๋ ต + ์ด์ = ์ด๋ ค + ์ฐ + ์ด์ = ์ด๋ ค์์ ๊ทธ๊ฒ์ ์ด๋ ค์์ = That is difficult
In the words โ๋๋คโ (to help) and โ๊ณฑ๋คโ (an uncommon way to say โbeautifulโ) ใ changes to ์ค instead of ์ฐ. For example:
๋๋ค = to help ๋ + ์์ด์ = ๋ + ์ค + ์์ด์ = ๋์์ด์ ์ ๋ ์ ์ ์ด๋จธ๋๋ฅผ ๋์์ด์ = I helped my mother
Note: The ใ in ๋๋ค and ๊ณฑ๋ค changes to ์ค only when ~์/์ด (or any derivative like ~์/์๋ค or ~์/์ด์) is added. When adding any other vowel, ใ changes to ์ฐ. As of now, you havenโt learned when you would need to add a different vowel. So donโt worry too much yet!
Because the ใ irregular is found in adjectives, you will be conjugating it not only at the end of a sentence, but also in the middle of a sentence (before a noun). Remember the difference between these two sentences.
์ฌ๊ณผ๋ ํฌ๋ค = Apples are big ๋๋ ํฐ ์ฌ๊ณผ๋ฅผ ์ข์ํ๋ค = I like big apples
In the first sentence, โbigโ is an adjective that describes the noun (apple) at the end of the sentence. In the second, โbigโ describes the apple (as โa big appleโ) and then โlikeโ acts on the noun.
