So earlier today I made my general theory post about Ch. 2 of WKM, but I thought I’d spend a little more time now on the bedroom we’re led into. Mark’s room. I’m gonna do what I did with the pictures from the countdown and discuss certain points.
Angle 1:
No. 1: Where does this door lead? Who had access to Mark’s veranda/balcony? If it’s not a veranda/balcony, then what is it? Clearly an outdoor area, but where outside? Is it the same balcony we’ve been walking around with the Mayor and the Colonel?
No. 2: The books and the envelope on the ground. One of the books is wide open, thrown down apparently. Was it being searched for information or did it fall open? And what about the black book, what’s in it? What about the open and presumably empty envelope? Was it always empty or did the contents get taken?
Angle 2:
No. 1: The bed is thoroughly messed up. Did Mark come in here to sleep and get disturbed, maybe get into a fight? Because I highly doubt the bed would look like that after a scuffle if he hadn’t just been in it and had to get out in a hurry.
No. 2: Another open book on the ground. So many books but no bookshelf.
And now, the table and the pictures:
No. 1: We can piece together a sort of story from the pictures, or at least understand that the Colonel, the Mayor, and Mark were at one point good friends (Why else would he keep these pictures in his private room?). But the last picture doesn’t feature the Colonel, so it’s from after the falling out.
No. 2: The Seer is in this middle picture, hanging on Mark’s arm. The Colonel and the Mayor don’t look too happy about this. Do they not like her? Or are they jealous? The Mayor almost seems more nervous than angry.
No. 3: The picture of the Colonel alone, which we discover a few seconds later is the only broken picture, is turned down. And the placement of all of these pictures is very deliberate, laid out to tell us a story by whoever ransacked the room (And from this table, we can say it was ransacked. This is too cut and dry to be random). But why turn down the Colonel’s solo picture and none of the others? Was this done by someone who doesn’t like the Colonel? Or was it done by the Colonel himself, ashamed of what happened between him and Mark?
Overall, the room is curious. This whole thing is curious, and I love it.
So what I’m thinking is that this one was written by Asshole Mark.
Love...
What a simple thing [This is sarcasm, obviously, as suggested by the rest of the poem, hinting at the bitterness reflected in the ending.]
The sweetest poison A blood-stained ring [The “sweetest poison” because love has only ever hurt this person and yet they pursue it. The “blood-stained ring” could mean a wedding ring, talking about a ruined marriage, the blood meaning injury or death related to the relationship.] A tender kiss A bitter sting [The contrast between these two lead me to believe it’s referencing the same person, the SO of the speaker, and it’s referencing a betrayal, the “sting” being something this person has done to hurt the speaker.]
Eternal bliss A lonely king [”Eternal bliss” in a perfect relationship on the outside, but it’s meaningless now because they know what the SO did, they’ve been hurt, and so even if they’re still together in appearance, they are alone.]
How much of this is even real? [This expands on the last part, the appearance of a happy marriage that is faked to some degree.]
This pain This love This somber wheel [They seem to be going through a cycle of trying to forgive them, and being hurt again. What the SO did is a recurring thing.]
An endless turn of snake and tail An endless storm, malignant gale [The speaker feels trapped by the relationship, hurt over and over again as if it’ll never end.]
Yet here I sit upon my throne My only truth... I am alone [They feel isolated from everyone else, in a position of wealth and power but with the only thing that really matters to them taken away, and so are becoming bitter.]
So in conclusion, this is from Asshole Mark’s perspective, when he was still married to Celine, growing more and more bitter, possibly before he made his ill-fated plan.
uuUHHHH
Sometimes some of the softer egos will steal the heated blankets if they aren’t feeling well or the power goes out during winter
I have a feeling that Wilford casually steals them all the time and buys him a new one every month or so to replace the ones he takes. lol
Soooo apparently the JSE Discord (which I am not part of bc I don’t do huge discords) got an interesting drop today.
(Image curtesy of various discord dwellers)
So just going off of immediate vibes, it feels very Chase. It’s got those high-quality story vibes, like there’s definitely more to this picture than there seems. I brightened it up to get a better look.
Much better! So I did what I did with the WKM stuff ages ago, and made talking points.
1. Soooo we’re indoors. In a studio space? Lit only by candlelight, which could mean some kind of spooky happenings.
2. There are symbols on the book that I can’t quite make out. The one on the farthest right looks like a Sam, possibly. The furthest left looks like maybe a person? But these could also just be random runes to make it look magic, which means that it’s probably supposed to be a spellbook. If that’s true...
3. Then this is a crystal ball. It’s weird, made of something silver rather than a clear material, so it coul be something else, but the composition of the image makes it look like the book and the ball are associated, and usually, that means magic.
And where there’s magic...
There’s Marvin.
I think we know who’s turn it is to take the spotlight this Halloween.
A note: If there’s no ego content, and it’s just a cool magic-y video, I am equally as excited and ready to watch whatever Sean’s working on. I just like being extra about fandom nonsense.
AMAZING
so ummm… what the fuck is going on
Welp, You guys really seemed to like my headcanons before, so I thought I’d hit you with what I think of some of the many Iplier incarnations.
-First off, the inimitable Wilford Warfstache himself. He’s something of the supernatural persuasion, a genie or a djinn or a minor demon of some description who happens to entertain himself in his eternal existence by messing with people. He’s not evil, necessarily, he’s just amoral, which means he lacks a sense of right and wrong. He’s guided by a sense of fun, doing whatever keeps his boredom at bay. For a while, that was trying to pass as a human reporter, going after wild stories that no one else could for fear of dying. This was fine until a passing affair he was having with an associate’s wife went wrong and he ended up murdering not only his “lover”, but the associate, their neighbor, the dog, and a policeman before he “died”, ie, faked his death to avoid further complications. He continued his show after using some minor magic and a proper amount of time to erase any connection he had to the murders, but that quickly went wrong again when he defeated an “indestructible” animatronic, and committing yet another murder, this time of a more famous victim (Mark, more on his similarities to Mark later). He was forced to reverse this particular murder (He’s very strong, but doesn’t care to use his powers, as it’s more annoying than useful in a lot of cases. He likes getting his hands dirty), and decided that he was finished being in the spotlight for now, simply reveling in the growing fan base he had. Side note: The fact that he looks like Mark was actually a coincidence that he finds hilarious. He’d simply picked a generic male look and gone with it, deciding it wasn’t interesting enough without the pink mustache. He still thinks Mark looks quite boring, but thought their identical appearances were intriguing enough to interview him about, wondering if he could perhaps kill Mark and take his place, just for shits and giggles (that didn’t turn out well; people liked Mark far too much and studied him far too closely for it to be and easy switch, and Wilford’s all about convolution but not over-extension. All theatrics, basic effort.)
-I’ve already talked a lot about Dark, so I think it’s best to leave well enough alone with his personality. As to how he interacts with the others...he tries not to. Dark is a solo agent, with no associates, only pawns and tools. Google is an exception, but more on that next.
-GOOGLE! Google is one of my favorites. I’ve done a little bit of theory work already on this post, but to recap: Google is an android, created by either Dark or Wilf, more likely Dark, whose primary objective is to “serve” people, but secondary objective is to destroy them as chaotically and painfully as possible. He’s beyond intelligent and unfeeling, other than basic satisfaction in completing an objective or getting closer to one. Unfortunately, his programming is so specific that he’s easily thwarted. But don’t let that fool you: he’s clever. Like, kill you in your sleep clever. What very few people know is that it would be possible to reprogram Google to be a good guy, but you’d have to figure out how to deactivate him first, and good luck getting that close without dying.
-I’m not gonna touch on Yandereplier other than to say I have no fucking idea what that’s all about. Anybody got any theories you wanna share with me?
-The Author. Now, this is an old one, only used in like two videos, but it’s one of my favorite characters of Mark’s. He’s half human, half something else, a bit like Wilford, a genie, a djinn, a demon, etc, which means that he has certain powers but only a limited capacity in which to use them, ie, to bring his writing to life (Or, warp reality). He just wants to write a good story, but unfortunately, he has no regard for the well being of others. He doesn’t care who or what he has to step on to get that perfect ending, and unfortunately, he’s more Poe than Carol in style. The darker, the better. Could he be Dark’s son? Who knows?
WILLIAM J BARNUM!!
AND HE’S NOT CRAZY AT ALL, HE’S TRYING TO UNDERSTAND AND HE CAN’T BECAUSE THERE’S TOO MUCH HAPPENING! HE’S AWARE THAT IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE AND THAT HE’S LOSING IT ALL AND IF THAT ISN’T THE SADDEST BIT OF THE STORY DUDE
@markiplier BRO YOU KNOW HOW TO BREAK MY FUCKING HEART AND MAKE ME LAUGH AT THE SAME TIME WTF
Pairing: Dean/Reader
Rating: PG 13 for heartbreak
"No."
"Sam, I'm not a child. I can do this."
"No. You're not going in there."
"Well, why do you have to do it? What makes you more qualified than me?"
"I'm his brother."
"I'm his girlfriend. Have been for three years."
Sam sighed and looked down at his shuffling feet. The bunker was quiet, and felt almost suffocating today. There was a table covered in empty coffee mugs, and a dungeon that was all too full.
This was the third time you and Sam had had this debate, and you were determined to win, close to tears or not. When he finally looked up and nodded, you blinked.
"You're gonna let me do it?"
He gave a very weary smile. "Like you said, you're not a kid. And...Maybe you would be better."
He was nearly knocked over by the tight hug you gave him, and stroked your hair.
One... Two...
Breathe.
Three.
You slid the door open slowly, the creak and groan of metal filling the silence. Not looking up from the ground, you came into the room.
There was the sound of movement, a moment of surprised hesitation, then...a laugh. And it wasn't his laugh.
"I was wondering when Sammy would let you down here, (Y/N)."
You tried very hard not to wince at your name in that mocking tone, eyes still glued to the ground as you shut the door and went to the small silver table with the roll of syringes.
"Aw, you're gonna drug me up. Baby, that's adorable-"
"Don't call me baby." You could almost feel him smile; it made your skin crawl.
"Why not? You love it when I call you baby."
"I love when Dean calls me baby."
"I am Dean. Just-"
"You say a newer model and I'll punch you in the goddamn face." He chuckled.
You picked up a syringe, and a needle. Put the two together. Started to roll up your sleeve.
"You know you can't fix me, right?"
"Watch me."
"Well," he shuffled again, relaxing into the chair a bit, "you can make me human again, sure. But you can never fix me. I'll always be broken. I was when I met you, I was before I got the Mark, I was when I was human and had it. This is the closest to whole and happy I've ever been."
"Shut up." It was practically a whisper.
But he kept on, and the words hurt worse than the needle in your skin.
"See, now I'm not worried about anything. I don't care if Sammy dies, or Cas. I don't care if you die-"
"Shut. Up."
"-I wouldn't feel a bit of guilt, even with your blood on my hands. Actually, that'd be kinda fun. Chasing you around, hunting you down-"
You pulled the needle out sharply and stalked over to him, jabbing it in mercilessly. He hissed and fought, crying out as you pushed in the plunger and the blood flooded his system again. As you walked back over to the table, he began to scream.
"Why the hell are you even trying?! This won't work! It can't, and I don't want it to! Why does it matter what happens to me?!"
"Because I can't lose you, and I won't, even if I have to go to Hell and back again. Because Dean Winchester, I love you, and I won't stop until you're human or I'm dead."
As you walked out, you kept your eyes fixed on the door, trying desperately to ignore the tears blinding you at least until that door was shut behind you again. To your surprise, he said nothing else, and the only sound from him was heavy, ragged breathing.
You didn't look back as you shut the door, but if you had, you would have seen the demon staring at you, face slack with shock, frozen.
Just for a moment, right before the door closed, he moved forward, and opened his mouth as if to speak.
And there was a flash of green in those black eyes.
Honestly I would love to do more theorizing surrounding the WAIA but there’s not a lot of theorizing to do.
It’s pretty out in the open. I don’t think the FNAF connection is super lore-steeped; I think it’s just Mark poking fun at his King of FNAF status. What I do think is lore-steeped is the WAIA’s responses, which are super on-the-nose but not in an overbearing way. This is direct storytelling done right, and I think that Mark is extremely talented to be able to pull it off.
In the “He said...potato salad?” video, the WAIA says:
“A man goes to a party. This man met an old friend. The two friends share some wine. The two friends played a game. The most dangerous game. I didn’t know the gun was loaded. I didn’t know.
Was it my fault? Was it?”
This got me so hard the first time I played through, and I picked “No.” I picked “No” because in my mind, Wil is not at fault for Actor Mark’s crimes. Wil is the victim of cruel manipulation and the entity in the House; he didn’t make a decision to kill Actor Mark. He wanted so badly to reconcile that he was willing to play “the most dangerous game” to get him back. And when it all went wrong, he couldn’t bear it.
What got me more than anything was the dialogue in “No.” :
“You can’t change the past. You can tell all the stories you want to tell; it won’t change what happened. You can’t rewrite the past; if you live in fantasy forever, you’ll lose yourself in the story.”
This just about made me cry, and when Wilf’s voiceover mentions that “he’s a perfect scan of my noggin,” it made it worse.
This is Wil’s thoughts untethered from the influence of the House and the breaks in time and space he continues to experience. This is Wil, as close to sane as he can get, and he’s just...accepting.
He knows he can’t change anything, and that becoming Wilford Warfstache, telling Wilford Warfstache’s story instead of his own, can’t fix it and instead means he’s slowly losing William Barnum.
Or maybe that he’s already lost him.
Much as I still love Doctor Who and Tenny and the gang, my writing has taken a different turn as of late, into the dark and slightly deranged. Don’t worry! I’m still doing fluffy stuff sometimes and all that, and I’m still open to requests for my fandoms! But I’m afraid skinnyscottishblokeaddict simply doesn’t fit anymore.
SO!
Now, it’s likepuppetsonastring.tumblr.com!
Again, no content change, just a blog makeover with the maturing of my writing. :)
Find below a list of fandoms I write for, if you’re interested:
-Doctor Who, RTD era and Eleven -Supernatural, up to season 11 -Sherlock -Undertale -Disney -Youtube/Dark Side of Youtube (JSE, Markiplier, Crankgameplays, D&P, KickthePJ) (NOTE: I DO NOT WRITE SHIPPING FICS OF REAL PEOPLE. I WRITE THE CHARACTERS FROM THE CHANNELS, NOT THE PEOPLE THEMSELVES.)
I’ve got a couple of limits on shipping and topics, but not enough to do a full list out of them, so if you’re concerned, just message me. Other than that, fair game! :)
Just a writer obsessed with her characters, from Supernatural and Sherlock to the Dark Side of Youtube. Your source for the Egos of Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, theories thereon, and random oneshots and short series. I take requests!
