Who Killed Markiplier? Mini Update 2.

Who Killed Markiplier? Mini Update 2.

Alright I’ve just been over to whokilledmarkiplier.com, and here’s the newest evidence.

-There’s another Jims video, in which they’re running around on the balcony, keeping an eye on the Detective, who’s strolling around, looking at his gun, then crying over his old partners. He gets spooked by something and moves out of our line of sight. The Jims are completely oblivious. (Also, question, is everyone in their family named Jim? If so, I love that.) I really don’t think there’s a lot of significance in this one, but I wasn’t watching too closely, so I could be wrong.

-There’s a soundbite with a heavy rumbling in the background, the sound of someone opening and then closing a squeaky door, the sound of a lighter being lit, something catching on fire, and then someone writing with what sounds to me like a quill (I write with them occasionally, and the scratching and flicking noises sound similar) or a pencil. What were they writing? What did they light on fire? And who is it we’re listening to? I think it could be Mark, trying to get a message to someone in the middle of the night, but that’s pure speculation, I have no evidence to back it up.

Dark Side Headcanons: Markiplier Edition.

Welp, You guys really seemed to like my headcanons before, so I thought I’d hit you with what I think of some of the many Iplier incarnations.

-First off, the inimitable Wilford Warfstache himself. He’s something of the supernatural persuasion, a genie or a djinn or a minor demon of some description who happens to entertain himself in his eternal existence by messing with people. He’s not evil, necessarily, he’s just amoral, which means he lacks a sense of right and wrong. He’s guided by a sense of fun, doing whatever keeps his boredom at bay. For a while, that was trying to pass as a human reporter, going after wild stories that no one else could for fear of dying. This was fine until a passing affair he was having with an associate’s wife went wrong and he ended up murdering not only his “lover”, but the associate, their neighbor, the dog, and a policeman before he “died”, ie, faked his death to avoid further complications. He continued his show after using some minor magic and a proper amount of time to erase any connection he had to the murders, but that quickly went wrong again when he defeated an “indestructible” animatronic, and committing yet another murder, this time of a more famous victim (Mark, more on his similarities to Mark later). He was forced to reverse this particular murder (He’s very strong, but doesn’t care to use his powers, as it’s more annoying than useful in a lot of cases. He likes getting his hands dirty), and decided that he was finished being in the spotlight for now, simply reveling in the growing fan base he had. Side note: The fact that he looks like Mark was actually a coincidence that he finds hilarious. He’d simply picked a generic male look and gone with it, deciding it wasn’t interesting enough without the pink mustache. He still thinks Mark looks quite boring, but thought their identical appearances were intriguing enough to interview him about, wondering if he could perhaps kill Mark and take his place, just for shits and giggles (that didn’t turn out well; people liked Mark far too much and studied him far too closely for it to be and easy switch, and Wilford’s all about convolution but not over-extension. All theatrics, basic effort.)

-I’ve already talked a lot about Dark, so I think it’s best to leave well enough alone with his personality. As to how he interacts with the others...he tries not to. Dark is a solo agent, with no associates, only pawns and tools. Google is an exception, but more on that next.

-GOOGLE! Google is one of my favorites. I’ve done a little bit of theory work already on this post, but to recap: Google is an android, created by either Dark or Wilf, more likely Dark, whose primary objective is to “serve” people, but secondary objective is to destroy them as chaotically and painfully as possible. He’s beyond intelligent and unfeeling, other than basic satisfaction in completing an objective or getting closer to one. Unfortunately, his programming is so specific that he’s easily thwarted. But don’t let that fool you: he’s clever. Like, kill you in your sleep clever. What very few people know is that it would be possible to reprogram Google to be a good guy, but you’d have to figure out how to deactivate him first, and good luck getting that close without dying.

-I’m not gonna touch on Yandereplier other than to say I have no fucking idea what that’s all about. Anybody got any theories you wanna share with me?

-The Author. Now, this is an old one, only used in like two videos, but it’s one of my favorite characters of Mark’s. He’s half human, half something else, a bit like Wilford, a genie, a djinn, a demon, etc, which means that he has certain powers but only a limited capacity in which to use them, ie, to bring his writing to life (Or, warp reality). He just wants to write a good story, but unfortunately, he has no regard for the well being of others. He doesn’t care who or what he has to step on to get that perfect ending, and unfortunately, he’s more Poe than Carol in style. The darker, the better. Could he be Dark’s son? Who knows?

This is all fascinating, and I am so curious to see what the last “dark” side will be. As Morality’s corruption, it’s got to be a fascinating character. Selfish, uncaring about others’ needs, totally and completely egotistical, would be my guess, and that’s why he’s invisible. Can’t see him, can’t get rid of him, right? In fact, that could be his “name”, Ego. Maybe it’ll be an interesting battle between “is Thomas doing things for others or for himself?”

I also want to see the interaction between the three still-”dark” sides and Virgil, and I want to know more about his time as a dark and what caused him to become a “light”. I suspect it was because they showed him that he wasn’t just fear or panic, he was the preservation instinct. Maybe, also, Virgil doesn’t like the darks because he’s afraid he’ll become one again.

Theory Master Post: Buckle Up

So in Moving On Part 2, there’s a strange, out-of-place picture right after the intro. It lingers for three frames and has nothing to do with what they’re talking about, whereas other pictures stay for one frame and relate to the topic. Here it is:

Theory Master Post: Buckle Up

Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil. We all know that the dark sides are seen as evil, yes? Well in order of appearance, Deceit covers mouths and Remus has to do with the ear topic. So who will be covering eyes?

Theory Master Post: Buckle Up

I know some of you are thinking “But Remus didn’t cover their ears!” How does he enter? The video goes quiet, and Thomas can’t hear anything but Remus when he speaks to him. Other, less important ear things include: taking off his own ears, and when people are around him, they tend to cover their ears. So essentially, Remus is “hear no evil”. Most of his power comes from listening. He can’t do much physically.

To elaborate on that, Remus is a bit like a siren. During his song he drags them into his pitch-black realm of dark thoughts. Virgil even explicitly tells Thomas to stop him from singing. And how do you resist a siren? By covering your ears. It’s fitting that his logo/animal is a kraken. If you don’t listen to Remus, he’s powerless.

Some people have said that Virgil is “see no evil”. Maybe. Here is why people have thought that. Let’s go chronologically. In Embarrassing Phases he’s able to straight-up disappear before re-entering in a cloud of darkness. Shortly after, he makes the room go black. Now, he’s been revealed to have been with the dark sides in the past, and fear “blinds you”. Also, Virgil tends to cover his eyes a lot, whether it’s with his hoodie, bangs, or even hands. Plus, he wears eyeshadow that affects the other sides when in his room.

Theory Master Post: Buckle Up

However, I don’t think this is the case. So far, all of the sides have continued to follow the rainbow color theme. Not the cartoon doodle rainbow with six colors, I’m talking ROYGBIV. Red (Roman), orange (?), yellow (Deceit), green (Remus), blue (Patton), indigo (Logan), and violet (Virgil).

There’s one missing side. The orange one, who is likely dark. When Thomas learns about Deceit, he asks if there are any more sides. Roman and Virgil both reply to this by confirming there are more, or “the dark sides” as Roman puts it. Note he says sides as in plural. So it’s not just Remus. There’s another one.

To even begin to figure out what this side is, we need to poke at the opposites theory which goes hand-in-hand with the color theory. First, let’s look at the first canonically opposite pair: Roman and Remus. Red and green are across from each other. Looking at Logan’s color, he’s across from yellow, while Patton is across from orange. Virgil does not have a clear opposite. Let me explain how this is perfect.

Theory Master Post: Buckle Up

Most people think that Deceit is Patton’s opposite simply because he impersonated him first and went against him in the court room. But, look closer. Logan loves his facts, but those facts are usually helpful. Deceit absolutely loves facts, information, and philosophy too, but his are usually dark. This is just like how Remus likes dark ideas, while Roman likes brighter ones. Another thing, like Remus and Roman, they dress similarly. The only sides to wear a tie/bow tie, but that’s just a minor detail. Deceit also keeps Logan in the back seat for the courtroom video because he knows he’s his match. What does Remus do with Roman? Keep him in the backseat by knocking him unconscious. Do the dark sides fear their opposites, or are they just doing this to simply have more power? In summary, it’s facts vs. lies which are very opposite indeed.

Theory Master Post: Buckle Up

Before I get to Patton, let’s talk about Virgil. “If there’s opposites, why doesn’t he have a light side?” His whole character arch is about being unique. In the Fitting In video, he doesn’t fit to a specific house. He is an exception to the rule, like most things. Anxiety is hard to understand, so it makes sense that he wasn’t able to be split into a good and a bad part by Thomas’ mind. He got to choose like he chose his color.

Then there’s Patton. Repressive, innocent Patton. Whoever could his dark side be? That’s not too hard to guess with all of this information put together. Remus is Thomas’ view of bad creativity, Deceit is Thomas’ view of bad information, so the final dark side will be orange and Thomas’ view of bad emotions or morals. The “see no evil” of the group. The one who’s likely always been in the background, but never seen. With all the build up, probably the worst one yet. So how will his role come into play?

We all know the question Thomas has been asking for some time now. “Am I a good person?” It never got answered. Even after Remus. The first big video about it was Selfishness vs. Selflessness, which is a confirmed two-parter according to Joan. So why the video(s) between the next part? Well, we haven’t met all the dark sides, now have we? In order to answer this question, Thomas needs to see every part of him, good and bad. So I bet you anything, that second part will be light vs. dark to answer the big question. The internal struggle most people have of finding your true self.

(Snows gone :( back to good old Irish rain) who would you say is your favourite character to write about and who would be the easiest to write about?

Ooooh you’re in Ireland?! That’s awesome! I’m in the boring USA. lol

Hmm, my favorite to write about...I think my favorites are Dark and Anti, because there’s just so much to say, especially since WKM came out. Anti has a special place in my heart because it was the first Antipocalypse that I actually joined the JSE fandom and really got into it, and that’s led to a lot of really good things. And Dark is super interesting and terrifying, unpredictable. A social manipulator will always be fun to write.

But I do love figuring out the voices of all the different characters, and writing for real people is interesting (for instance, writing Jack or Robin, that’s super fun!). So yeah! I have a good time with writing these people!

Some thoughts about the Dark!Robin that’s been going around.

So first of all, I’m loving the name “Deadpixl,” which’s been thrown around recently. Also, I’m loving the art and edits I’ve seen of him!!

Here’s a couple of headcanons. :)

-Deadpixl is a puppeteer. He’s the one who effectively created Anti, and is most in control of him. Anti has exactly one fear in the whole universe, and that’s Deadpixl.

-He hates the spotlight, preferring to work from behind the scenes to manipulate his way through the world. Unlike Dark, though, he’s not power-obsessed or revenge-driven. Nope, he just wants to see the world burn.

-If he is forced to act directly, however, he is terrifyingly strong and deadly smart. He’s a master of hypnosis, able to bring people under his control with just a few words.

-He doesn’t have much of a sense of humor, so try joking or sassing him and you’re probably not gonna live to try it again.

I love dark sides so much! They’re such fun little fandom things, and they’re super fun to write. ;)

Home (A DBH Kara and Luther Drabble)

Winter in this part of Canada was incredibly cold and dreary. It snowed every few days, and when it wasn't snowing, it was overcast and windy, blindingly white all around. Everyone who lived in this particularly frigid part of the world knew better than to spend more than an hour or so outside at a time, lest they risk frostbite or worse. Everyone, that is, who was human. Luther trudged around the side of the house, laden down with freshly cut firewood over both arms. He'd been out since before dawn, making sure that all of the chores that needed doing outside were done before Rose and Adam even woke up. It seemed like the least he could do in reture for all of the  help they'd been in the past few months. He was careful not to be seen, given that his kind was still forbidden to be here. If he was caught, then people would start asking questions, and that could lead to problems for his family. Shaking those dark thoughts out of his head, Luther climbed the steps to the porch and started setting the logs into the firewood stand by the door. Just then, the door creaked open. "Luther?" "Good morning Kara." Kara's snow-white hair was gently touseled. Was it his imagination, or had it grown a little bit since they'd been here? Her borrowed nightshirt hung loosely around her thin frame, bunching where her arms crossed over her chest. She couldn't have looked more human. She couldn't have looked more beautiful. Kara frowned, head tilting slightly to the side. "Have you been out here long?" He shrugged. "A few hours?" "Your jacket..." "Hm?" She nodded at it, and he looked down. It was completely soaked through. "Oh. I should probably dry this." "Come inside. Bring the rest of the firewood, we'll light it so it's warm when Rose and Adam get up." He smiled and nodded, following her as she went back into the livingroom. As he dropped the wood by the fireplace, he caught sight of her socks, and started laughing. He was rewarded with a soft smile. "What's so funny?" "Your socks...?" The smile got even bigger as she held up a foot to show off. "Do you like them? They've got little rabbits on them, and they're so soft." "They're adorable." You're adorable, he wanted to say. She seemed pleased by this. "I thought so." They lapsed into comfortable silence for a little while. He heard the sounds of breakfast being made. The smell of pancakes and bacon wafted out into the living room as Luther got the fire going. He loved the smell of food cooking, even if he didn't need to eat. There was something comforting about it, a sense of home he'd never known before he'd come here. He sat back on the couch to watch it for a moment. Kara sat down beside him. "The fire looks lovely." "Breakfast smells good." They glanced at each other, and chuckled. Kara shook her head. "Is is crazy to say this feels like a dream? Like I might wake up tomorrow, and be back in Detroit. In the car, or Todd's place..." Her smile was gone again. He slid a bit closer to Kara and put his arm around her. It made his heart jump a bit when she melted into his side, slender arm going across his chest. He hesitated for only a second before pulling her hand into his own and holding it. "I never felt like this at Zlatko's." He could feel her looking up at him. He didn't talk much about his time before they met, and for good reason. In his mind, he didn't really exist before he met Kara and Alice. He'd been a machine back then, and he'd done terrible things he'd rather never think about again. This time, though, he felt the need to say something. "Zlatko at well every morning, but everything smelled like grease, not food. That place felt...small. Far too small. This place is smaller than that house, but this...is home." "Home," Kara laughed. He looked down at her again, and was surprised to see tears in her eyes. "It's nice to be home." Sitting there, with her curled into his side, the smell of food in the air and the warm fire at his feet, far away from the cold slums of Detroit, Luther couldn't agree more.

I feel like these parts fit together!

Thank you for the drawing!!! Your handwriting is fine!! And that would be hilarious. XD

How He Moves (drabble)

Pairing: None

Rating: PG for angst

You caught yourself staring sometimes, as he worked. His back would tense up all funny if he got frustrated, his shoulders going all high and rigid. If he was in a really good mood, he'd be almost liquid, the way his shoulders' movements flowed smoothly across them, down his rail thin arms, into his wrists, then through his long, nimble fingers. Like a trickle of water, fast and exciting but not disconnected, however disconnected his thoughts were. If he were really excited, he was a blur, arms and hands and fingers everywhere, legs like jelly, sometimes even up on the console, helping him steer his beautiful ship. The positions he contorted himself into to fly this old girl! He was almost an acrobat.

But if he was sad...oh, if he was sad, and he too often was. His shoulders would fall. Not hunch forward comically, but fall, defeated. His movements became slow, mechanical, precise, emotionless. He'd stand without swaying, without movement that wasn't completely necessary, an unnatural stillness. He'd stroke the console, absently, forlornly, as if it were the only thing he had left in the entire universe. In some ways, you supposed, it was.

Hey guys?

Here’s my idea about the ending of today’s video: Jack’s supposed to have been in a coma right? According to Chase. So...

What if we’re seeing what Jack saw in his coma?

Visitor Pt. 2

A/N: Alright so a surprising amount of people actually liked the first part of this (thank you @alix-the-skeleton for asking for more!), so I decided to do a follow up. Lemme know if you guys wanna see some more of this! I think it’s an interesting story to explore. Anyway, let’s see what happens when Dark gets home, shall we?

He was still shaking, physically shaking, when he returned to Ego Inc. His shell was cracking horribly, and his aura was all over the place, cyan and scarlet spikes shooting left and right, cracking the walls and bursting lights. Everyone that saw him come down the hallway ducked away as fast as they could. Everyone, that is...except the one person Dark did not need to see right now. "I saw, old man, where'd you scamper off to in such a hurry? Google's been doing nothing but complain since you left, he's insufferable." Wilford laughed as he tried to clap an arm around Dark's shoulders, but raised an eyebrow in amusement when he shrank away, sucking in a sharp breath as the pain of the sudden movement hit him. The pain of his shell cracking was enough without the extra weight of someone else. "Don't touch me-" he attempted to snarl, but cut himself off. No. Oh God, no, he still sounded like- "What's wrong with your voice?" Wil blinked, looking puzzled. He couldn't not speak to Wil, that would raise too many questions, but the more he talked, the more he knew he was running into dangerous territory, and why did he suddenly care so much, after years and years of feeling nothing but deep-seated anger and frustration? No, he knew why, but still, the sudden shift was unsettling, and he was spiraling. "I...nothing. Nothing, just leave me-" "I didn't know you could turn off the echoes, that's a clever trick. Have you always been able to do that?" He laughed again, twirling his mustache thoughtfully, seemingly oblivious to Dark's rising panic. "You know, without the effects, you almost sound like Mar-" “Shut up.” “Well, I was only saying, I know you hate him, but still, the resemblance is uncanny-” I know you hated him. His own voice rang in his ears and he shut his eyes, trying to block it out. “Shut. Up.” “You’re really not looking well, are you sure you’re-?” "Shut up, William!" Before he could think, his hand was shooting out from his side, and Wil grunted in surprise as he banged into the opposite wall, sliding down to the ground with a dull thud.

Dark's eyes widened. "Wil...Wil, no, I didn't mean..." "What the bloody hell was that for?" Wil snapped furiously, clambering back to his feet and rushing to grab Dark by the lapel, his other hand coming up in a fist. Dark braced for a hit. "What the actual hell, Damien?" Both men froze. Wil's eyes widened to match Dark's, seemingily more out of surprise than anything else. "Wait...no, your name isn't...why would I...?" "Wil," Dark said slowly, "let me go. Please." Wil glanced down at his hand, which had a death grip on Dark still, and dropped him as if he were being burned. Dark grunted as he stumbled back, bumping into the wall. Cracks appeared immediately. Wil backed up a few steps, still staring at him. "Thank you," Dark muttered, voice shaking nearly as much as he was, "Now, please, I have to-" "Yes. Yes, of course." Wil gestured off down the hall, shaking his head as if he were trying to clear it. There was an uncharacteristic frown on his face, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion. "You're...you're a busy man, after all, and...and of course, I am too. I should...I'll...I'll see you later." He walked away so quickly he was nearly jogging.

Dark stared after him. So he did remember, at least subconsciously. There was still some of the Colonel behind the bubblegum facade. But...if forgetting had done this to him, what would remembering do? And if he found out about her...

What have I done?
