Things the MDZS fandom desperately needs, if they do not already exist:

A reference page of Chinese words and terms used frequently in canon and how to correctly spell them.  (I.e. all the various common forms of address/titles, different ways to say brother, words like jinshi, etc. )

A giant flowchart of the differences between the plot in the various versions of the story, so I can figure out exactly which version of canon I’m borrowing from in my fic and/or if I’m accidentally borrowing from someone else’s fic.

A list of all the book chapters and brief spoilery summary of what happens in each one.  So if I want to go look something up to reference it, I have at least a place to start in looking for it.  With all the flashbacks, any scene could be freaking anywhere.  (Except for Chapter 100.  I know what happens in Chapter 100.)

Being Asian on the internet is hard bc someone w a name like...IDK Akihiko or Jungkook interacts w my post and I gotta squint like...are you ACTUALLY Asian or are u white and racist and just totally unaware of the meaning and very specific racism Asian ppl receive abt our names.

9/10 times it's the latter or like a kin thing or smth and it's like...please I am begging u my Asian soul gets a bit shaved off every time I see a selfie of some "Ju-won" and they're snow white.

So I Finally Watched The Umbrella Academy

Just finished watching The Umbrella Academy. It was one of the shows I had saved on My Watch List since it came out and I decided to finally start watching it last week. I finished the show today and I’m kinda disappointed with it. I love the show. It definitely is amazing. Robert Sheehan is an amazing actor and I’ve been a fan of his since Misfits. Ellen Page was amazing in this as well and I loved her character, but I didn’t like how her character ended. 

With stories like this, they always wanna portray a good, positive ending and while that may be good for some people, I kinda hate it. When I got to the last episode, I was really hype for Vanya to get her revenge and yet, she didn’t get it. That made me mad. I was heartbroken for her. After suffering her entire life, she finally finds out that she has a power and also a power that is stronger than her siblings. It just seems wrong that all her other siblings in a way was able to get their revenge, but not Vanya. 

This show reminded me of the movie Chronicle. At least in the movie, the guy was able to get his revenge for a few minutes before he was killed. I felt like Vanya was never even loved by her other siblings. Only 1 of them didn’t want to kill her, while the rest of them were right on board with trying to kill her. 

All I know is that in the second season, her siblings better not try to hide Vanya’s powers from her.
