we will outlive them
who is that the up one? I dont remember about him
Unpopular opinion: What I hate to see (but probably will happen anyways lol cuz Shonen manga you know) is Armin and Mikasa forgive Eren after knowing his “true intentions”. In chapter 116 it is made clear that Armin and Mikasa start to realize Eren’s words cannot be taken at face value, and Jean and Connie remind them they are still the most important people to Eren. A protagonist deliberately acts as a villain, hurts himself and everyone around him but in fact sincerely aims for good for his friends — this is such a trope in Shonen manga. The ones who are hurt will eventually embrace their friendship again, and thus their bonds strengthened *Eyes my poor son Killua as well as Naruto and Sakura*. Imo it is also not a good plot design if Isayama amends the rupture between EMA so soon after their argument (which is written so heartbreakingly that you keep wondering how can they even go back to what they used to be.) In the end it will feel like the shiganshina separation leaves no imprint in the entire story.
we’ve all seen this idris elba gifset right
bonus:
levi hates dad jokes
Have you read any GOT AU fics where Dany ends up assisting Jon and Sansa in re-claiming Winterfell (season 6)?
i’m pretty sure that happened in the most recent chapter of Stormborn and the Black Dread by @thescarletgarden1990. it’s very AU and not just canon divergent, but i think you’ll enjoy the fic anyway!
An episode from Shingeki no Kyojin “Encapture the Female Titan!” Game Book:
The game book works like a textual version of Escape from Certain Death but it’s set in the Female Titan Arc. “You” the protagonist will choose different options of actions and each of them will lead you to various results.
When you are chasing down the Female Titan with Levi and Mikasa in the Forest of Giant Trees, these two people have different opinions as to whether Eren is still alive. Now you have three options to say something to them:
“It must be painful for Levi Heishichou…” “Mikasa’s judgement is right. Heishichou is wrong about it.” “You two are alike!”
And if you go with option 3, the next scene will be: The two people turn back at you and exclaim “HOW!” simultaneously. Both of them stare at you as if feel like killing you right there…… And again it makes you think “They are indeed alike.”
First time fanart and using pencil color. I like this both character from life is strange. (not finish yet)
So y’all have seen multiple posts on aot (attack on Titan/ shingeki no kyojin) is trash. Or more precisely the mangaka is a reactionary. This work reflects his terrible ideas and is a prime example why you can’t “separate the art from the artist”. This particular clip encapsulates so much wrong with his work. And I also want to say other reactionary shitheads are emboldened by his work.
[ID: There are four screenshots depicting a scene from the anime attack on titan. In this scene two characters a blond and brown character are talking. At first the brown hair charecter says “But a century ago the sins of your ancestors were great and terrible”. The blond character responds “a century ago? What about the people who live now? Have how we sinned? The brown hatred charecter starts “I’m telling you your ancestors killed people all over the..” Bit they are interrupted by the blond character yelling “my mom didn’t kill anyone”.]
I initially saw this off of twitter and the amount of white people just lapping this shit up. And so there are people who are way more knowledgeable about this topic than I. But in short during the 30s and 40s the Japanese army multiple war crimes (mass rape torture and murder) on civilians from South Korea, China and from various pacific islands etc.*. Two prominent events was the Rape or Massacre of Nanjing which was one of many horrible mass murder and rapes against the people of Nanjing, China. During the course of 6 weeks approximately between 50,000 to 300,000 people were killed by the Japanese army during the second Sino-Japanese war. During WW2 invading Japanese soldiers forced girls and young women from various occupied countries into brothels. They are referred as “comfort women”, and many faced forced sterilization and torture from the soldiers. There are few survivors left and the Japanese government still refuses to acknowledge its many war crimes. Which particular sin is this clip refering, I don’t know. But considering this mangaka has made really horrible comments about Koreans and literally based a charecter on an Imperial General that’s conscerning.
YES YES YES
I was pretty much Gabe when I was his age. My mental health and self-esteem at the time was pretty low, and I constantly and angrily lashed out at my family and my friends. As Javi, I guided, listened, and never gave up on Gabe – the same way a close family friend of mine did with me. So in a way, Season 3 for me was continuing that legacy. It’s why I really like A New Frontier, despite all its shortcomings.
