trying to do that thing where just a strip of light fall on a face. think i made the background too dark
I’m absolutely distraught and pissed with the axe of PPPPPP, one of my favourite manga of all time. It’s such a unique experience, both in its story telling and art; and now, it’ll never see the ending it deserved.
(Huffing copium but I now want a Tokyo ghoul re style sequel set like 5 years after, otogami family drama season 2)
Funeral of Miracles
So, I watched puss in boots the last wish
Ya know that feeling where you really want to draw a character from a media or anything but it feels almost sacraligeous to depict their form on paper and the moment you try and on the first go it don't immediately turn out like it captures the characters completely essence it feels like cringe can be a legitimate cause of death?
Further proof I guess that my taste in characters is twink
He wears veils and dresses in many sculptures and art or depictions of him on vases
In ancient art and literature, Apollo is frequently portrayed as the ideal of the kouros: beardless, athletic youth. This representation emphasizes his beauty and grace, often aligning with qualities traditionally associated with both genders
He’s described as “pretty,” “graceful,” “beautiful,” “delicate.”
He has a gentle speaking voice and soft features.
Apollo is basically a twink-coded solar enigma with infinite potential.
The Orphic Hymns, along with other ancient texts, often describe Apollo using epithets that emphasize his youthful beauty and radiant appearance, which can be interpreted as androgynous or effeminate by modern standards.
In the Orphic Hymn to Apollo, he is referred to as:"Golden-haired" (χρυσοκόμης, chrysokómēs) "Delian king who has eyes shining light on mortals"
Statues like the Apollo Belvedere depict him with:
Graceful and delicate features
Flowing hair
A poised and elegant stance
These artistic choices further highlight his androgynous beauty.
Also Niobe and Marsyas's comments on his appearance is pushing this even more
When I read "once upon a time" as the first sentence in The Book Of Lost Things by John Connolly it blew my mind tbh 😄
