I’m absolutely distraught and pissed with the axe of PPPPPP, one of my favourite manga of all time. It’s such a unique experience, both in its story telling and art; and now, it’ll never see the ending it deserved.

(Huffing copium but I now want a Tokyo ghoul re style sequel set like 5 years after, otogami family drama season 2)

Ya know that feeling where you really want to draw a character from a media or anything but it feels almost sacraligeous to depict their form on paper and the moment you try and on the first go it don't immediately turn out like it captures the characters completely essence it feels like cringe can be a legitimate cause of death?

Further proof I guess that my taste in characters is twink

Apollo’s Already Androgynous-Coded in Myth

He wears veils and dresses in many sculptures and art or depictions of him on vases

In ancient art and literature, Apollo is frequently portrayed as the ideal of the kouros: beardless, athletic youth. This representation emphasizes his beauty and grace, often aligning with qualities traditionally associated with both genders

He’s described as “pretty,” “graceful,” “beautiful,” “delicate.”

He has a gentle speaking voice and soft features.

Apollo is basically a twink-coded solar enigma with infinite potential.

The Orphic Hymns, along with other ancient texts, often describe Apollo using epithets that emphasize his youthful beauty and radiant appearance, which can be interpreted as androgynous or effeminate by modern standards.

In the Orphic Hymn to Apollo, he is referred to as:"Golden-haired" (χρυσοκόμης, chrysokómēs) "Delian king who has eyes shining light on mortals"

Statues like the Apollo Belvedere depict him with:

Graceful and delicate features

Flowing hair

A poised and elegant stance

These artistic choices further highlight his androgynous beauty.

Also Niobe and Marsyas's comments on his appearance is pushing this even more

Black and white comic with simple drawings.
Text: When I was in elementary school, my teachers told us not to start stories with "Once upon a time."
Panel 1: Adult holding a finger up and talking to 3 kids sitting at a rectangular desk. On the desk there is lined paper, 3 markers, an eraser, and the kid in the middle is holding a pencil. They are all looking at the adult and don't have any features except dot eyes.
Panel 2: The middle kid is writing on a lined piece of paper.
Text: I didn't mind so much back then.
Arrow pointing at the kid labeled: should be doing math sheets
Two pieces of paper with 3 hole punches on the sides of each. The second has a folded corner in the top right.
Text on them: I think it was nice to know that isn't the only way to start a story, but
Papers trail into five falling books. The background fades into black as you scroll.
The text between the books: I think it's also nice to know you're sharing a beginning with so many others.
Black background fades into white again.
Panel 3: Close up of an open book on someone's lap. They have a hand spread on the pages.
Text: being told in different voices.
An adult sitting on a bed with the book on their lap. They're signing in ASL "once upon a time" to a kid sitting against a pillow with their hands over the covers.
Panel 4: An adult sitting in front of 5 kids. One kid is sat on a chair and the rest are on the ground. The adult has a speech bubble that says, "むかしむかし..."
Text: and different languages
Panel 5: The inside of an open book. On the right page in the right side there is text going down that reads, "很久很久以前"
Text: and well-loved storybooks.
Panel 6: The kid at the desk holding a pencil over a lined piece of paper looking to the right.
Panel 7: The kid looks to the left, checking if the coast is clear.
Panel 8: The kid looks down at the paper and smiles.
Panel 9: Close up of a lined piece of paper with 3 hole punches. A hand holding a pencil hovers next to it on the right. On the first line of the page there is writing that reads, "Once upon a time"
Watermark in the bottom right corner: @yeehawpim

When I read "once upon a time" as the first sentence in The Book Of Lost Things by John Connolly it blew my mind tbh 😄
