Fanfiction and fanart are bonus content, brought directly to you without monetary motives. That is so rare nowadays. Rancilda and Putrice are autistic because their Mother is able to act human pretty easily, meanwhile they still act pretty much the same way they do as trolls. 'Hi my name is Putrice, it means 'vomit inducing' 'And I'm...not supposed to say anything.' These girls have little to no masking game.
"Irish is a dead language" "no one uses irish anymore" you can pry this language from my cold dead hands. It's not dead and if it was I would still love it (my ancient greek and latin homies know what's up)

I just read Phantom of the Opera today (By Gaston Leroux) and I feel really weird trying to engage with the online content because the book is my only reference for the story but I know the phantom is changed to be a proper romantic option in the musical/movie while in the book he is literally the toxic asshole to say he is going to kill himself if you break up with him. Except he is also gonna blow up an opera house and kill everyone else too.
So keep being taken aback by seeing so many people be like "Christine should have chosen the Phantom" "The Phantom was so romantic" because i am just here like "YOU MEAN THE DERANGED ABUSIVE MURDERER MAN?!?!" "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT?!?!?"
it does kindaaa disappoint me as to how little elizabeth's faults are acknowledged by the general public in comparison to darcy's. so much praise of the book (and the more faithful adaptations) paint the story as if darcy was solely both pride and prejudice, and committed an error far greater than elizabeth's, and elizabeth is just some girlboss who roasts him.
i understand darcy is the love interest and with a target audience of women, seeing the steps he takes to change himself, is charming and would be a greater highlight, and that's no problem at all! i, too, am one of the many women swooning sighing dreamily over darcy! but it's such a shame when i see people present the characters one-sidedly when both characters recognizing their faults is so crucial to the story and arguably, its biggest charm
I am following them now!
Trying to get one of my mutuals with a special interest in musicals to follow you so we can be mutuals in law AUGH

I often think about how loneliness is a more powerful emotion in theatre because you’re in a room full of people who all powerless to do anything but watch and I saw Eva Noblaza as Eurydice in Hadestown the other day and I cannot get her guttural “is anybody listening” out of my mind, she was screaming for someone to listen and you’re sat there mere metres away unable to let her know that you are, that her story is being told and she matters, so many people are listening but she doesn’t know that
