“You ready to leave yet Cas?” Dean yelled into the empty motel room, Cas was showering off all the blood and dirt. The two of them had just finished taking out a vamp’s nest, it had been easy enough, with minor complications. Sam had gotten a call a few days back, a hunter who quickly realized he was in over his head. Cas and Dean had been nearby on a small road trip, Dean simply couldn’t believe Cas never, in his millions of years of life, had seen a zoo. Sadly, Sam had called before they could get there. It was alright though, they were able to help the hunter, who most likely, would’ve gotten himself killed if Cas and Dean hadn’t come to the rescue. And they still had all the time in the world to see the animals.
The sound of splashing water came to a halt, “Dean, I am an angel of the lord, you do know I can clean this all off in a millisecond, right? Why do you insist I spend all this time scrubbing in the shower?” Dean sighed. “I’ve already told you Cas, you haven’t showered in weeks! And I don’t believe that your powers actually remove all the dirt and stank, just finish up already, you still got to see the zoo!” As Dean finished his sentence a wet haired Cas exited the bathroom. “Whatever you say Dean.”
The two men walked out of the room headed for the impala. A loud bang filled the hallway, shattering glass. Dean spun on his heel, trying to get a look at what made the noise. Castiel touched his shoulder, “just a vase that fell, relax.” Dean struggled to believe him. They barely walked two steps before they heard it. A loud hissing noise behind them. Vampire.
Dean turned, machete already in hand, ready to chop the vile creature’s head off. He swung the blade, but all he hit was air. “Where did it go!” He spun, looking for the vamp. Behind him the vampire was holding Cas down, ready to take a bite out of his neck. Cas was struggling against it, but somehow the vamp had gotten the upper hand over the ancient angel. Dean charged with the machete. Chopping the vamps head of with a clean swing. The creature’s body fell limply to the floor, collapsing down besides Castiel. Dean released a puff of air. “Damn, I thought we’d gotten them all, but that’s gotta be the last one, right Cas?”
“Dean.” Cas’s voice was strained, something was wrong. Very wrong. Dean, still high on adrenaline, crouched down beside him. “Cas? What’s up? The vampire didn’t bite you did it?” Cas just shook his head. Dean, growing more worried by the second, looked Cas up and down. A huge crimson stain was spreading quickly from underneath the angel’s hands, quickly colouring his shirt. Dean pressed his hand to the wound. “What happened? How could it get the upper hand on you like that?” “Dean. I don’t-” He was cut short by a coughing fit. That’s when Dean felt it, the wound. It wasn’t warm with blood as it should have been, rather it felt cold. Nearly freezing. Something was definitely very, very wrong.
Dean pulled up Cas’s shirt to look at the wound. He gentely removed his own hands before pulling away Cas’s, he flinched. “Ssshh, it’ll be fine,” Dean tried to reassure the angel. As he lifted the shirt, more and more blood gushed out from Castiel’s side. The skin around the wound was completely black, no not wound, a hole. Like someone had taken a massive piece of Cas’s body and ripped it out. Dean was in shock; how could a vampire injure Cas this much? Shouldn’t he have been able to heal himself by now? “Cas, why aren’t you healing?” Castiel drew a rattling breath before answering. “I think, it poisoned me.” His voice was filled with fear. This ancient being, who’d seen so much horror, but also so much beauty, finally realizing that his life was coming to an end.
Cas reached up to cup Dean’s face, “I think, this is it.” He gave a weak smile. Dean shook his head, “no, no it’s not, you can heal yourself, we’ll get help, you’ll be just fine!” Castiel looked at him, with his big sad eyes, so blue. So impossibly blue. “I need to, I need to tell you something, one last thing.” Dean was still shaking his head. Cas sat up as much as he could, Dean’s strong arms supporting him, his own hand still cupping Deans face. “For so long, I’ve closed myself up, closed myself from feeling, from feeling anything at all, from loving. Then you came along, you and Sam, with all your fights and your problems, but still, with so much love. Always with the love, the unconditional, unwavering love. And you changed me Dean, you helped me open up again, helped me to be open, open for love, for happiness. You made me realize that it is okay to with for things.” Dean’s hands pressed down on the hole in Cas’s side. “Shut up Cas, don’t do this, this isn’t goodbye, we’ll figure something out damn it!” Castiel’s face turned soft. “I know I’ll never have what I want, but you’ve showed me, that sometimes, just wanting, allowing yourself to want, is good enough, but I need to tell you. What I want – It’s you. I love you. Goodbye Dean” and with that, Cas’s body went limp in Dean’s arms, his hand sliding down from his face, leaving a bloody mark Dean wouldn’t notice before long after.
“Cas? CAS!” Dean kept yelling his name, not caring who would hear or what they’d think. Castiel did not answer. “goddamnit Cas, wake up!” He shook the limp body in his arms before picking it up. This was not the end. Dean carried Cas’s lifeless body out of the motel, the worried voices of other people in his path only a far away whisper. He had to get Cas back. Gently, oh so very gently, he placed Castiel’s body in the back of the impala. “You’re gonna be okay,” He pressed a soft kiss to the angel’s forehead. “I’ll get you back.”
Dean didn’t know where he was driving, but he was definitely going somewhere, and he was gonna get there fast. He drove and drove, until the houses became further between, and the road was no longer covered in pavement, but rather a bumpy path though the woods. When Dean found himself deep into the forest, at the bottom of a mountain, he killed the engine. “This will have to do.” He carefully lifted Castiel’s body out of the car, holding him in his arms, and started walking. Walking up the mountain.
“CHUCK! YOU SONOFABITCH GET DOWN HERE!” Dean yelled himself hoarse for a god that was no longer listening. “CHUCK, GOD, WHATEVER, YOU GOTTA SAVE HIM!” But no matter how much he yelled, or how far up on the mountain he got, God did not answer. “Chuck please! He died thinking that I didn’t love him back! You gotta fix this! YOU OWE ME!” God still didn’t answer. And after hours of walking and screaming, Dean realized the truth. Castiel was gone.

just some soft, happy destiel
The year is 2060, supernatural seems like a long forgotten fever dream. Suddenly a new video pops up on whatever video sharing media is big atm. Its low quality, and it starts with an elderly Jensen Ackles standing in front of the camera. He is wearing the confession scene outfit. An even older Misha Collins enters the frame from the side, they start redoing the scene, but this time, when Cas was about to oush dean away, Dean pulls him in for a kiss. The screen fades to black, and the next video a handheld and flimsy recording. It's an empty room, it looks oddly familiar. Then you see a much younger jensen and misha walk into the frame, and you recognize the bunker. Jensen Ackles has leaked the tapes.
i've said it before and i'll say it again but i truly believe there will be a destiel kiss on our screens one day and maybe that's clown behaviour but at least i'm having fun
Suptober 2021, day 8, leather and lace
So I generally don't participate in inktober and other challenges alike it, but when I saw this prompt I just couldn't contain myself...
Sometimes I wonder a lot about why the people who did my autism assesment scored me high enough to be just below the criteria for autism, cause I thought I nailed that silly test.
Then I remember that I described the feeling of happiness as cold water running down my spine, and maybe they weren't so wrong after all...
(I still stand by that description tho, not my fault they aren't able to see it that way)
Why didn't anyone warn me that dr. pepper isn't just another version of coke/pepsi???? I was over here thinking it was basically the same thing, had a sip, and it tasted like play do???? How are people drinking this????
Cas: "MAKE IT STOP!"
Dean: "Make what stop? What's wrong??"
Cas: "It's all so, LOUD, every feeling, every smell, every sound, how can you live like this!?"
AU in which Cas becomes human and experiences some hardcore sensory overload for the first time
I discovered this thing called throat spray, which is essentially a numbing agent for your sore throat, and it works GREAT. Having a sore throat is my least favorite thing in the entire world, so this is a genuine game changer!!!
Anyway if you see this you have to reblog and tag with a delight from ur day -- even the littlest thing counts
break out the L-word, Cas
I got the Top 4.47% on this English Vocabulary test
Remembered that one post about how you can just go into a cinema and buy popcorn without watching a movie when I walked past my local cinema today. So I decided to go buy some
What that one post failed to remind me is that a small cinema popcurn LITERALLY COSTS 9 DOLLARS WHERE I LIVE
(This price was obviously not written anywhere, so I didn't know the price until I was at the register...)
