It's the last day of April
Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait, I couldnât figure out how to end this chapter. I also didnât have a lot of free time, due to having a project in my digital media class. But hey, look! Itâs here! I also did that city because I remembered that video of the hot air balloons that CQ did, right here. This is also the longest chapter Iâve ever done, ahead of chapter 4 by 30 words. But without any delay, lets get to it!
Fresh, Geno, and Error belong to @loverofpiggies
MommaCQ and herself belong to @alainaprana
Other characters and story belong to me, @leiselpizzatale
Fresh looked to the side, reading the sign that said, âWelcome to New Mexico.â Even if he was only a skeleton, he felt butterflies where his stomach should be. During the ride, he just felt empty, like he was before he... Fresh shook his head. Nope. Not going to think that right now.
Looking at the road, Fresh reached Alaina with one hand, shaking her. Alaina groaned, before mumbling, âAre we there yet?â
Fresh chuckled, saying, âNot yet. Mah house is in Albuquerque. Â I just wanted some company right now.â
Alaina smiled. âYou got butterflies in your stomach or something?â
Fresh chuckled. âJokes on ya, I have no stomach.â He then lifted his shirt, revealing his spine, no stomach to be found. He then started blushing, before letting go of his shirt, putting his hands on the wheel, silent.
After taking a huge breath, he said, âWhat would they think of me, when they see me?â
Alaina chuckled, saying, âWell, I bet your mother would be so happy that your home. She would also see how much of a gentleman you are. I bet Error would be surprised at how much you can feel now.â She sighed, saying, âAnd I bet Geno would feel accomplished, because he never gave up on you.â
âYou donât know that.â Fresh mumbled.
âI donât. But itâs better to think of the best, instead of the worse.â
Fresh smiled. She was right. He shouldnât feel so depressed. He was going to see his family, and he had nothing to worry about. He was just going to meet his family. Itâs not like they were going to kill him or anything. Error on the other handâŠ
Fresh shook his head. No, he wasnât going to go there. Ugh, he needed to sleep a bit. âHey Alaina, can you drive for a while? Iâm starting to feel tired.â
âSure Fresh. Iâll wake you when we get to your hometown.â
So, after switching seats, Fresh laid back, wanting to rest for what will happen.

âFresh, wake up. Weâre here.â Fresh opened his eye sockets, wincing at the bright light of the sun. He lifted his seat, so he could sit upright, yawning as he did so. Looking out, he saw that they just passed the toll booth and were on the edge of town.
âHey, let me drive. Itâs mah turn.â
After switching, Fresh drove, until he stopped in front of a house.
âIs this your house?â Alaina asked.
âNah, âFresh replied. âThis is my Unclesâ. Hopefully, he didnât move or anything.â
Turning off the ignition, Fresh got out of the car, before heading to the door, Alaina following him. Once at the door, he knocked it, doing the âshave and a haircutâ one. In the house, he heard a muffled âComing!â before the door opened.
âHey Error, your pre-â Asy said, before stopping, seeing Fresh. For a while, neither of them moved nor spoke, just staring into each otherâs eyes.
Their staring contest broke when Asy shook his head, pinching in between his eye sockets, whispering âPlease donât let this be a hallucination." Then, Asy reached out, knocking against his skull.
âKnock knockâ
Fresh, confused, said, âWhoâs there?â
âNoogâ
âNoog who?â
Then, Asy grabbed Freshâs arm, pulling him close, before yelling, âNOOGIE!â Right away, he started rubbing his fist on top of Freshâs head. Fresh gave a yell, shouting, âUncle Asy, no! Donât noogie me!â
Asy laughed, saying, âNope! This is your punishment for suddenly disappearing for 13 years with no contact!â He then looked up, seeing Alaina, who was laughing at them. âAnd who is this lovely lady?â
Seeing him distracted, Fresh pulled out of Asyâs arms. Breathing heavily, he replied, âThis lady, Uncle Asy, is mah fiancĂ©e.â
âOoh, how fancy,â Asy said, âWell, donât want a pretty lady like you to keep standing. Come in, come in. Iâll get something for you to drink.â
While following Asy to the living room, Alaina turned to Fresh, whispering, âIs he always like this?â
Fresh shook his head, saying, âOnly when heâs in a good mood,â
Alaina giggled, saying, âDoes he hurt himself when heâs in a good mood? Iâve seen all those bandages and scars and- Fresh?â Alaina looked back to Fresh, who stopped, looking down. âFresh, whatâs wrong?â
Fresh looked at Alaina, a serious look on his face, before saying, âHe doesnât hurt himself when heâs in a good mood. He only does it when heâs in a terrible mood. Promise me, Alaina, that you wouldnât ask him about his scars.â
Alaina nodded, before sitting down on the couch. Asy then went into the room, a cup of water in each hand, while another is floating next to his head.
âHere you are, âAsy said. After saying thank you, Alaina took a cup, before started drinking.
After Fresh took a sip of his own cup, he asked, âHey, Uncle Asy? I heard ya saying somethinâ âbout Error at the door?â
Sitting down, Asy replied, âYeah. Since you left, Error has been going fishing with me. Itâs very relaxing. Itâs almost time to go to fishing, anyway.â
As if saying his name will summon him, a doorbell rang, before they heard, âCome on Uncle Asy! We better go, if we want to even get a bite!â
Quickly, Asy pushed Fresh and Alaina into his bedroom. Before closing the door, Asy said, âStay in here until we both leave. Then, you can watch T.V. until I come back. I usually drop him off at his house, so donât worry.â
Closing the door, Asy walked into the living room, grabbing the fishing box while doing so. Opening the door, he stopped Error's hand from knocking on him instead.
âAre ready to go fishing?â Asy asked.
Error smiled, saying, âYup! Letâs go!â before running to the car. Chuckling, Asy followed.

âHeâs not coming back, is he?â
Asy jolted awake, almost dropping his fishing pole. âHuh? What was that, Error?â
Error reeled in his line, before throwing in the pond again. âFresh. Heâs never coming back, is he?â
Asy just smiled, saying, âHeâll come back before you know it.â He didnât like lying, but he wanted Fresh coming back to be a surprise.
âYOU DONâT KNOW THAT!â Error yelled, throwing the entire pole into the pond. He then fell to his knees, tears in his eyes. Asy bended down, rubbing Errorâs back.
âItâs all my fault.â Error whimpered out.
âNo itâs not, itâs not anyoneâs fault, â Asy told Error.
âYes it is,â Error said. âIf I didnât make him promise, none of this would ever happen. Now heâs probably in an alley, starving to death, too weak to call for anyone.â
Asy then bended down farther, and then hugged Error. âYou know that heâs smart. Heâs probably at a very fancy job, making lots of money. Besides, you would never know what wouldâve happened if he doesnât. Geno couldâve died by his sickness, maybe not. You never know what can or canât happen if you somehow change what your actions are.â
After thinking a bit, he asked, âRemember that movie I made you watch when you were kids, âBack to the Futureâ?â Error nodded. âWell, itâs exactly that. With him going back to 1955, Martyâs own mother loved him more than his father, and he needed to do that plan with his father to get her to love her future husband instead. But, then Biff came, and almost ruined the entire plan. They never thought to bring Biff in the picture. Time is a hard and complicated thing. But we have to go through it, just like ever hard thing in life.â
After a couple minutes of silence (besides Error crying), they pulled away, Error wiping a tear from his eye socket. âThanks Uncle Asy. I needed that.â
âNot a problem Error. Now, â Asy looked into the pond, âNow, Letâs go get that fishing pole.â
"Okay." Error said. Then, something popped in his head. "Hey, whose car was that in front of your house?"
Asy was half-way to pulling his shirt off when Error asked. "Wha- What do you mean?"
"Yeah, there was a car in front of your house. Who's was it?"
Nervously, Asy replied, "Oh! That! Um, I think it was one of the neighborâs friends or something. Don't worry; I'll file a complaint later." He chuckled.
Error has a feeling like his Uncle was lying, but couldnât put his finger on why he was lying. Faking a chuckle, he replied, âAlright. And while you do that, Iâll go get our fishing pole.â
Uncle Asy, what are you hiding?
I have a scar on my forehead from when I accidentally crashed into a church bench in the church basement when I was 8. I only needed to get three stitches for it, and now you can barely see it unless you get close to my forehead (which is super easy cause I'm so short).

Uhh, @theodd1sout? You might want to see this.
So when my sister and I were little, we would look at videos from YouTube, and this one caught me and my sister's eye. It's called harmonic dream, and we loved it. There is another one called pipe dream, but we loved this one better. This is one of the things that made me into the person I am today.
Yeah!I finally got this chapter done! At first, I wanted to have this the longest chapter yet, with over 2,000 words, but I felt like it just kept dragging on, so I split the one chapter into two. So, expect the next chapter next week! After this, there will be two more chapters, before this one is over. I donât know what Iâll be doing after this, but Iâll figure something out. But anyway, lets get to it.
Asy belongs to @furgemancs
Fresh, Geno, and Error belong to @loverofpiggies
MommaCQ and herself belong to @alainapranaâ
Ink (mentioned) belongs to @comyetâ
Other characters and story belong to me, @leiselpizzataleâ
Warning: Mentioned suicide, blood, blood clots, cancer.
"Ugh. Uncle Asy, the tie feels really tight." Fresh said, annoyed.
"It's not. Now hold still, I need to straighten this." Asy replied.
Fresh sighed, then tried to stay as still as his rattling bones will allow. It was the evening of seeing his brothers after so long. After setting up a reservation for 6 (with two on a temporary separate table), CQ called Geno and Error, telling them that she 'hasn't seen the whole family in a while' and 'want to get together for dinner'.
Finishing on the tie, Asy stepped back, seeing his work on Fresh. Fresh was wearing a light blue suit, with a neon-colored tie. Asy was wearing the same thing, except that his suit was a darker blue, and his tie had pictures of Band-Aids on it.
*knock knock*
"Are you guys almost ready? You know we have to be there before Geno and Error," Alaina's muffled voice said from the door.
"Yup!" Asy exclaimed.
"Yeah, we're ready. You?" Fresh asked.
"Would I be here if I wasn't?" Alaina asked back.
"No, you wouldn't," Fresh said, laughing.
After getting in Asy's car, they drove to the restaurant. After telling them what's going to happen, the host agreed, and set the tables to its places for the surprise.
Soon enough, Fresh heard footsteps from multiple people, and there...
Fresh froze. He couldn't think, couldn't move. He just stared at the three people who were walking to their table. The two skeletons gave his best attention however. They were both wearing suits, though one was also wearing a red scarf, while the other looked like the suit had a hood on it. Before he could get to see them more, a menu suddenly pops in front of his face, obscuring his view on his brothers.
Lowering it down slightly, Fresh saw that Alaina was the one who put the menu in front of his face. He also saw that she looked very worried.
âHey, are you okay? You froze, and they wouldâve seen you staring if they turned around,â Alaina said.
Fresh lowered his head, nodding. She was right. Because he froze, he couldâve ruined the plan. Â âY-yeah. Iâm okay.â He finally answered.
After the slight screw up, they went and did everything as if they werenât on a secret mission or something. They ate their food, and when it was almost time for dessert, Fresh got out his phone.

He was having fun with his family. It was a great idea that his mother decided to bring the whole family. They wouldâve brought Ink and his mother, but they were out of town to sell some of Inkâs new line of art. It was too bad, because Ink was like a brother-cousin, even though he wasnât his cousin or his brother. If only-
Suddenly, his phone was starting to ring. He looked at it, but he didnât know the number.
âHeh. Sorry guys, I have to take this.â Geno said.
CQ shrugged it off. âDonât worry, you donât have to leave to take the call. Right Asy?â
Asy nodded. âYup. Go take the call. Who knows, it might be important.â
Geno knew they were acting suspicious, but he answered the phone anyway. âHello?â
âHello. Is this Geno Queen?â The man on the phone asks.
âYes, this is Geno.â Geno replied.
âOh, thatâs good. Um, I was wondering if you would like to be interviewed? Itâs for a grade I have to do.â The person asks.
âSure. When should we meet?â Geno asks.
âOh, no, I was wondering if we could interview now. Iâm shy, and I only joined this class because I wanted to learn to edit stuff. I already have the microphone set up and recording.â
ââŠOh.â Geno said after thinking, âI⊠guess I could do it now.â
âGreat! Okay, first question. Who is in your family?â The man asked.
âI have, well, used to have two brothers.â Geno replied.
âUsed to have two brothers? What happened?â The man asked.
âSomething happened, and my brother, Fresh, had ran away.â Geno said sadly. He looked at Error, who had lowered his head. Geno knew it was in shame, since no matter what he did, Error believed it was his fault that Fresh ran away.
âOh, Iâm sorry.â After a bit, the man said, âOh! You havenât told me who also was in your family.â
âOh, youâre right.â Geno exclaimed. âMy other brother is named Error, and my motherâs name is Crayon Queen, but she likes to be called CQ for short. I also have Uncle Asy. Heâs not my real Uncle, but itâs what we called him a bit after we first met him.â Geno smiled at the memory of when Uncle Asy first came into his life. He appeared to help CQ take care of Error and Fresh, and Geno on those rare days. Since then, Asy became part of their family.
âOkay, next question. So, Iâve heard that you have been sick most of your life, is that correct?â
Geno nodded, before saying, âYup. Would you like to hear the story?â
âYes please.â The man said.
âWell, since I was born, I had an illness that no doctor could figure out. I have gone through every medication, every treatment. It felt like my home wasnât my home, just a vacation spot that I went to every time I felt âbetterâ. The doctors said that I wouldnât even get past my teenager years.â Geno said, sadly. âOne day however, Fresh, the brother I have mentioned before, was going to get me my medicine. But then, I had started puking blood, and was rushed to the hospital.
âLater, Fresh wanted to show me his new PokĂ©mon, when I started coughing really bad. I guess it angered him or something, because he ran up to my bed, and slapped me in the face-â Geno stopped when he heard a chocking sound coming from the speaker of his phone. âHey, are you okay?â
A few sniffles came from the man, before they said, âIâm sorry. Iâm just not good at hearing when he hit you. I guess it reminded me of my childhood. The same thing happened to me, just in a different way.â
âOh, Iâm very sorry for that.â Geno said sadly.
âI-itâs okay. You can keep going.â The man said.
âWell, after he slapped me, I had puked out even more blood and a blood clot. It was bad that he did it, but my brother had saved my life.â
âW-what?! How was that possible?â The man almost shouted.
âWell, when I puked, I had broken a rib, and when they went to fix it, they found something that no one wouldâve guessed, and when they checked, it was confirmed that I had cancer in my ribs that wasnât seen until that day. It started growing inside my ribs sometime after my birth, and it grew until it was removed when I was fourteen.â Then Geno sighed sadly, âI wish Fresh was here. That way, we could have fun regularly, with lots of exercise.â
After a short pause, the man on the phone said, âWell, Iâm sorry that happened to you, and I want you to feel better. Every time me and my  get on some sensitive subject, I tell a joke to ease the mood. So, would you like to hear one?â The man asked.
âSure,â Geno said, âWhatâs the joke?â
âKnock knockâ
Smiling a bit, Geno said, âWhoâs there?â
âArenâtâ
âArenât who?â Not hearing any answer, Geno tried again, âUm, Arenât who?â
Then, from behind him, he heard, âArenât you going to turn around and greet your brother?â
Geno dropped his phone, shocked. It couldnât be, couldnât it?
Turning around, Geno saw a skeleton behind him. Looking at them, they really looked like an older-
âFresh?âÂ

Fresh turned toward to where Error was. Standing up, Error started walking toward Fresh, and Geno stepped back. Before Fresh wondered why he did that, Error suddenly slapped him in the face, almost knocking Fresh backwards. Holding his face, Fresh asked, âWhy did you do that?â
âFor all the things youâve done!â Error said angrily, âYou werenât there when Geno had to go through surgery; you werenât there for his recovery. You werenât there when I felt sorry for myself after finding out that the police stopped searching for you.â Then Error started crying. âA-and you werenât there when I was so depressed, that I almost k-killed myself. I,â Error sobbed out, âI thought you were dead!â
Not worrying about the feeling of burning on his face, Fresh walked to Error, before hugging him. Fresh could hear the sound of Error âcrashingâ before ârebootingâ, so he stepped back to let Error finished. When done, Error started mumbling, âSorry. Y-you just surpri-â
âIâm sorry.â Fresh interrupted. He looked down in shame. âIâm sorry I wasnât there for you, to make you feel this way. I just couldnât handle it.â Fresh felt his knees weaken, and he fell on them, crying. Everyone instantly then surrounded him, comforting him.
That feeling you get when you find the fanfic you read almost a year ago, and you wanted to read it again before but couldn't find it.
