I see their friendship started unexpectedly. After he stumbled into the wrong mansion, she chased him down and told him that she was going to eat him. So that was a good start.

When he began to scream and curse at her, she had immediately dropped him onto his head in response.

Lui tells her about every one he’s encountered in his travels, the places he’s been to, the sights he’s seen and Odd Boo listens in awe. Afraid to leave her manor in fear of fading, (( She can only travel to other games for a certain amount of time. The only safe way for her to travel is through other LM games.))

She learns alot from him, about him and about how everything works. She listens, popping in a question which he gladly answers in full detail. He gets a chance to show off his knowledge and she’s happy to listen and learn on what he has to offer. From there she offers him a place to stay or even to chat when he’s on his travels.

She gets to know him to the point where she awaits the next visit excitedly. She becomes very good friends with him and listens to him rant and complain, sharing the same enthusiasm for the random things he hates or likes. Not because she hates or likes some of the things he does. But she thinks its funny and amusing.

I don’t think feelings would have started early. A definite friendship and trust would need to be made, especially for the amount of stuff both of them have been through
