closed starter: @giselesilvas location: dreaming of charity event, one of the restrooms
Leo watched a woman leave the women’s restroom as he stood at a corner adjacent to it. He waited a beat, holding a near empty glass as if he was just some patient partner. It had been a few minutes since anyone had come or gone, so he took the opportunity. He waltz into the restroom, and it was quite notably the cleanest one he had ever been in. He looked around, admiring the fact that it even have a lounge area before the actual restroom part. He was happy with his choice to take over such a place to do his bidding. The men’s room wouldn’t have been as pristine in his opinion. Before he took another step, he locked the restroom from the inside, then placed his glass down on the table dressed in a bouquet of flowers.
He sat one of the fancy bathroom couches, testing out the cushion to get much more comfortable. He loosened the ribbon that was nestled in his dark curls at the back of his head. He let out a sigh as his face was finally revealed to the cool air. He looked at the black and gold leather lion mask in his hand. Embarrassingly, there was already a bit of sweat on his forehead, his body undeniably hot to burn off the amount of alcohol he had already consumed. It wasn’t his fault though. What was he suppose to do when someone kept on walking by with glasses filled with champagne? His last glass would be his last for the moment being, but that’s only because his mouth would be preoccupied with something else.
From the inner pocket of his coat, Leo had pulled out a slim metal cigarette box and a lighter. He opened it and instantly the potent smell of the box’s contents hit his face. Skunky and earthy more than anything. Two rolled up joints for him which should be more than enough. Why was he about to get high at a charity ball that meant to help the children from becoming like him? One, he was practically dragged here. Two, he had to do something for him to enjoy himself. Three, why the fuck not? He grabbed a joint and lit it at his lips. He sucked and inhaled a nice even hit before exhaling with a chuckle.
martinanselmo:
Martín wasn’t a pushover. He got along well with most people, but he was his own person— probably, right? Honestly, he didn’t know how the board had managed to coax him into this ridiculousness. Holding presentations was hardly new to him, he’d been a TA for a while back in his school days. He was eloquent enough, even if he wasn’t always the most outspoken person in the room. But the classes were free for him, so hey, it couldn’t hurt, right? Maybe his new teacher had some good tricks to share.
Again, his doorbell trumpeted that horrible 8-bit version of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. Martín sighed, as he finished up hiding the last of his dirty dishes back in the cupboards, and tucked away stray papers from his kitchen table. He straightened his shirt before making his way to open the door. “You must be Mr. Davis, come on in,” Martín said as he moved aside for the other. He closed the door, and then offered out his hand. “Martín Gutiérrez. Thank you for making a home call for me, it’s been a hectic week and I hardly have time to get home, let alone haul myself around Manhattan.”
Martín directed the other into his living room with windows so covered in plants you could barely see outside. He had to gather them all there in the mornings, for maximum sunlight. “How was your trip here? Not too complicated, I hope.” Martín hovered awkwardly in the middle of his living room, hands behind his back, waiting. How would they get started?
-
“Hello, Leo’s fine,” he greeted back at his new student, and he moved through the open door. Leo was trying to keep his eyes from widening at the realization that the two shared the same style. Dark curls, full burly beard, and a collared shirt. Leo chucked it to the man having taste because that was also a compliment back to himself. He shook Martin’s open hand with his own, switching the empty cup from hand to other before doing so. Leo’s shake was a good firm two shakes before releasing Martin’s hand. “It’s fine. You’re in my home borough at least.” Leo shrugged. He wasn’t ever going to complain about a twenty minute commute. His eyes moved to skim the place remotely, as they walked, and even noted the plants before turning back to Martin.
“So not at all complicated.” He said, finishing the small talk pleasantries. Leo surveyed Martin a little bit now, openly sizing him up as they both stood in the living room. Leo stood straight with no sign of fidgeting, and Martin was the complete opposite. If this is what he was acting like in the familiarity of his own home with one stranger… what would he be like in front of a crowd? The short quick mental image of the man stuttering did not feel like a reach. “Oh, Martín Gutiérrez,” Leo said with proper accent inflictions, “looks like we got a lot of work to do, sir.” He offered a smile even if his words were pretty telling of how many lessons were ahead of them.
Leo did wonder how he’d run lessons that wasn’t specific to acting. But he did break down the skills needed in order to present the art form. First of all the lessons was confidence. Being an actor you had to be the loudest in the room with no fear of failure. In order to do that was to be so sure of one’s self. If you couldn’t convince yourself, you cannot convince others. “Your first lesson will be to build your confidence.” Leo announced and proceeded to make himself much too comfortable in the space he was given. He set his empty cup down on the table, and began rifling through his messenger bag on the couch. Was it a way to prove how confidence can make someone overtly comfortable in a new place? Yes. Was it also cause Leo constantly possessed audacity? Also yes.

Avery leaned in slightly, waiting to hear what he was going to say. Seemed like it was going to be big from the way he showed up. Something serious. When he finally responded, she knew that wasn’t completely true. It was something more but she wasn’t going to push, it wasn’t her business. He would tell her when he was ready. “Uh huh. well i hate to burst your bubble and as tempting as that sounds, I’m not sleeping with a drunk guy. Maybe when you sober up.”
-
“At least, I’m tempting,” he said his ego clearly present in the room, taking up space as it did. “I could sober up in like an hour or two.” He said confidently, but his head lulled to the side on the couch’s cushion. His body no longer wanting to fight the fatigue, but his heart was continuing its’ rapid beating. the paradox inside was beginning to become so uncomfortable, it needed something. to release something. but he wouldn’t let himself reveal the truth. it caused a sudden shift in his stomach. he sat up suddenly and looked at Avery with actual fear that he previously tried to hide, before he bolted from the room. leo managed to make it the bathroom. and he was on his knees on a ruffled bath rug with his head in the toliet. his glass of water had spilled on the floor near him. this wasn’t going at all going according to his plan.
vihanadavis:
where: Vihana & Leo’s apartment, Manhattan. with: Leo Davis ( @le0davis )
She hadn’t meant to be gone so long. It had only meant to be five days, a week at most, but the mess and the chaos of the LA offices had kept her away for three weeks. She didn’t like being away from Leo for that long, not when she’d told him she would’ve been home much sooner. She had some serious making up to do…
She’d come home, unsure of when Leo would be back, and had been quick to work. The place had been left spotless by their cleaner, and decorated with vases of hydrangeas. Hana set to work, lighting candles, turning on and dimming down soft warm lights. She didn’t have the time or skill to cook what she knew Leo would love, so she ordered it in with a private chef - fresh lobster, tenderloin steak (ready to be cooked however preferred), duchess potatoes, an assortment of vegetables. Hana, being a pescatarian, would only be having the lobster.
As her chef preferred their food, Hana went to change quickly and top up her make-up. She stepped into a long white stressed, with a square bust and thin straps. All her jewellery - rings, necklaces, earrings - as always, were gold. Real gold. Combined with river pearls, malachite, moonstones, onyx. She saved her rubies and emeralds for more glamourous occasions. She had a spritz of perfume, scented with jasmine, and put on some music.
A Sunday Kind of Love, by Etta James. Classic, maybe a little cheesy but timelessly lovely.
She heard the door click open as she was setting the table, and felt her heart flutter. She moved to stand facing the door, wanting to see the expression on Leo’s face as he rounded the corner.
“Surprise.” She said simply, flashing him a smile.
-
Leo sighed, unlocking the door, he immediately expected to be met with utter silence as he had for the past twenty-one days or so. He tossed his keys into the decorate dish for them. But then he heard music which caused him to move further into the house cautiously. What or rather who he saw was not at all what he had expected.
“Vihana,” he breathed out as if he was holding his breath. His eyes immediately lighting up at the sight of her. He only focused on her even through all her handy work. The dim lighting and flowers and the scent in the air didn’t distract him at all from her beauty. Hell, he didn’t even spare a glance at her lovely gestures. Because she looked as she always looked to him, so beautifully unattainable. She was the queen to his lowly peasant. The God to his human. His leather shoulder bag was at his side like it always was when coming home from work. The only thing different about the man’s appearance was that he was cradling a pink box filled with berry cupcakes. That and his curly hair had gotten shaggier.
After the initial shock of seeing his wife, glistening and shining for his attention, he approached her quickly with a spring to his step. “You’re home.” He smiled, and immediately placed the box on the table and stripped himself of his bag, in order to wrap an arm around her waist. “You’re home, you’re home, you’re home.” He repeated, his voice ringing brighter with happiness each time. Leo couldn’t help himself and peppered her cheeks with tender kisses inbetween each phrase. Then finally he stopped to just look at her face. It was like she was gone for months rather than weeks. He gently cupped her face as if he was to kiss her. But words escaped him before he moved towards her. “I missed you.” His heart feeling as if it was soaring. This is what he had missed. This is what he was trying to replicate while she was gone.
norahphobia:
“Good, i’ve been looking for a fight.” Norah quips back quickly, out of breath. She knew that wasn’t quite what he meant, but she didn’t want to dwell on worrying him. Easier to crack a joke in return. She shuffles off her black winter coat, brushing off snow from her clothing. She’d been through hell to get there, and briefly considered moving out of Brooklyn once and for all. She had to cross the bridge almost every day lately. “I tried to take the subway,” she begins, settling down into the booth across from him. “And my connecting train just - didn’t fucking come.” The subway system was notoriously fickle, delays and cancellations were basically guaranteed, especially in this weather. “So I had to get a taxi, and the cabbie couldn’t drive for shit in traffic.”
Pausing to take a sip of water from one of the glasses on the table, she sets it back down with a slow teasing smile. “Or maybe I just thought about standing you up. You may never know.” Truly, she felt bad keeping him waiting. But she wasn’t the type to apologize for worrying someone, it happened so often she hardly registered it anymore. “I love this place.” Norah commented, her voice suddenly softer, amber eyes finally taking a moment to really look at him.
-
Leo’s rigrid posture relaxed instantouesly at her quip. Noted by his crossed arms leaning on the table now. He even laughed. This was something impossible for him not to do around Norah. She intriguied him from the very first moment she opened her mouth. She was one of those people that made him feel cool by proxy. He listened to her tale of traveling between the bouroughs. A classic tale to his native New Yorker ears. And a complete valid reason to be late. It was the teacher in him that deemed punctuality important. But he was happy to see her either way.
“Oh, really?” He responded to her teasing by blinking multiple times to feign a sense of shock. He head dipped back, eyeing the ceiling of the train car when she expressed her admiration for it. “Yeah, same, I use to work in one.” He said, turning his head back to look her again as he spoke. “Not this one though. This one was closed when I was doing that. No, this one, this one’s quite famous.” His arms uncrossed and a hand tapped the table as he spoke, his voice getting quieter as if the details were a secret. “You see, this one was in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.” He nodded, sharing the stupid movie fact as if were impressive. He laughed though knowing the whole thing was ridiculous. And he should probably move on to something more important. “Okay now that I’ve already said one movie fact, how about we look at the menu?”
What’s something your muse has done, in canon or in a thread, that just makes you Love ThemTM?
God, I hate that I love him because he's so fucking annoying. He's the type muse that'd whisper in your ear what he wants to do. And there are so many questionable things that's done. But I can't help but love how charming he is? Like if he's sincere about anything, it's how he genuinely means every ounce of affection he gives away. Even if the quantity of that affection is again - questionable - even if he means it. He's just my lonely emo boy, and I just want him to feel loved without looking for it everywhere but himself.

Leo’s eyes danced across her features as she grew flustered at his question. It gave him much more of an answer than her words did. She did want sex and he knew how insatiable appeitie was months ago. Leo could only conclude that her ache now was far more potent. His, on the other hand, was as feveret as ever and leading the way for his actions as always. And it enjoyed the hell of that blush on her cheeks. Oh how he wanted to see her with that blush, sweaty, and throughly debauched because of him. “Makes sense. But I could have enjoyed having the option.” He stated simply, but letting it go. There was no way to reverse the clock now. Just like he didn’t have a foot to stand on when she ended things between them.
“No, not here.” He replied, smiling a bit of her utter willingness to give into him. He glanced at the people who surrounded them. He didn’t recognize anyone and just knew they were surrounded by a variety of what the city had to offer. “As colorful as this city is, I doubt they’d all consent to be part of our... games.” His voice wrapped around the last word with infliction that let her know exactly what was flashing through his mind. Her naked and entangled with his nude body, both of them building up to release. His eyes were heavily upon her face and Leo finally dared to place an arm around Blake. it stretched across her lower back, supporting her the way he should have earlier as she leaned on him. He was finally touching her kindly as he should have. A complete one-eighty to the man he had been minutes before. “Do you know if your roommate is home?” He questioned as his began to move across the fabric of her clothes. “You could certainly beg there. You have plenty of times before.” He said and a small smirk curved the corners of his mouth.
If you could hook-up with anyone, with no strings attached, who would it be?
"Oh, there's always going to be strings..."
Definitely Leo.
