TBB Echo X Fem!Reader One-Shot - Right Here With You

Hello there! I was wondering if you could do echo and reader oneshots where the reader is gets injured during a mission and she’s scared of the droids and equipment like echo is and he helps her stay calm during the medical exam. 🥺 I just feel like echo would be such a caring little bean with something like this.

General Kenobi! Aloha!

Sweet Echo is perfect for a scenario like this, for sure!

TBB Echo x Fem!Reader One-Shot - Right Here With You

Hello There! I Was Wondering If You Could Do Echo And Reader Oneshots Where The Reader Is Gets Injured

Warning: Angst/Panic Attack/ Injury/ Fluff/Comfort

__________

After being injured on a mission, you need to go to the infirmary. Your anxiety flares up, and you want to get out of there as soon as possible. However, Echo comes to help you get through the time in the infirmary.

__________

Hello There! I Was Wondering If You Could Do Echo And Reader Oneshots Where The Reader Is Gets Injured

You are lying on the stretcher, surrounded by two medics and a medical droid. Your pulse is racing, you feel the pain in your side and in your leg, where the blaster shots hit you. But more intense than the pain is the feeling of helplessness, the sterile environment you've just been brought into, the droid, the strange faces, the equipment and medical tools around you.

Your eyes twitch in panic from one point to another, searching for something familiar, but everything you see and hear is alien and sterile, cold and mechanical, even the two medic clones. Familiar faces and yet not. Bright, cold light surrounds you.

Your heart beats fast and hard in your chest, as if trying to break out, your breathing is erratic and much too fast.

"She is hyperventilating," you hear the droid say in his mechanical manner.

Somewhere in the chaotic helplessness you feel, you keep feeling the pain burning up, sharp, stabbing, hot. Yet the pain is not predominant, it is fear that is much more dominant, helplessness. Tears run down your cheeks, you didn't even notice, but now you realize that your face is wet. You feel as heavy as lead, as if paralyzed.

Someone injects you with painkillers. The pain subsides, but the panic does not.

"She's still hyperventilating, her pulse is going crazy," says one of the clone medics.

The other says, "It's not the pain."

"A panic attack," the droid says matter-of-factly.

"Echo," the word, the name, comes over your lips, shaky and quiet, but one of the clones has heard you.

"What are you saying?" he inquires softly.

"Echo," you repeat a little louder in a hoarse voice, "Echo, I want Echo."

The clones look at each other.

"Echo? Is that one of our brothers?" one asks the other.

"Yes I think so"

"He was with me when I arrived here. Where is he?" you say much more clearly, yet panic still almost constricts your throat.

The droid says, "It's against protocol to-"

"Shut up tin can," one of the clones grumbles at him and says to his colleague, "Go check outside, maybe he's waiting there."

The droid says, disgruntled, "This is unusual and not according to protocol"

"I don't care, I want Echo" you growl at him.

The clone with you says, "It will definitely help her to calm down if he is there".

The droid says impassively, "Tranquilizers would have done the trick."

You hear a familiar voice say your name. You turn your head and see Echo enter the treatment room, accompanied by the second Medic. He looks worried. The look in his eyes is gentle, but his brow furrows in worry.

"Echo!" you exclaim with a sob that startles not only him, but you are a little as well. Until just now, you didn't realize how upset you really were.

He hurriedly comes closer to your side, reaching for your hand on your uninjured side. You cling to it with trembling fingers.

Echo speaks to you calmly and gently, "Hey, sweetie, it's okay, it's going to be okay".

"Please stay here," you say softly, still crying.

Echo nods with a soft little smile.

"I'll stay right here with you".

You let out a shaky, relieved sigh. As you look at him, your pulse gradually calms. Your heart still feels a little agitated, but nowhere near panic anymore.

"Look at me and breathe with me, slowly and steadily, deeply in and out".

You do what he tells you and gradually feel the fear dissipate. The clones and the droid tend to your wounds, but you only look at Echo and he at you. His smile widens a little.

"You're doing great," he says affectionately.

"I'm sorry," you say softly.

He frowns.

"Why? What are you sorry for?"

"For being so whiny."

Echo shakes his head, "You're not whiny. You took quite a beating, and you're still in a bit of shock, I've seen seasoned soldiers have more severe panic attacks over lesser things."

You smile and say, "I know you're lying, but that's sweet of you."

Echo shakes his head, "I'm not lying."

You take a deep breath, feeling his hand gently squeeze yours. Finally, you ask him meekly, "Please don't tell the others."

Echo leans in slightly and whispers, "It will be our secret."

"Thank you" you say touched and add, "I feel safe with you. I'm sorry if I ambushed you with this".

Echo laughs softly and says, "I'm the last person to blame you, you know how much I hate this place" more gently he adds, "And I'm very flattered, my dear"

"Can you stay until I'm allowed out of here?"

Echo nods and smiles.

"As I said before, I'll stay right here with you".

I will literally marry you on spot if you were to ever gift me a book of annotated poetry with all your thoughts messily scrawled in the margins. Highlighted lines of poetry that reminds you of me, and a note on the first page stating how you wish I were to enjoy the book just as much as you did… not kidding.

The Professor's Crush

Follow up to this wee story. Might be more installments. Do not know.

No content warnings (for now!)

Word Count: 1.2k

--------

Looking after Omega on missions didn’t last long. The Marauder doesn’t need the extra weight, Hunter said. Our missions are very dangerous, Tech added. We cannot in good conscious put an untrained individual in such circumstances.

The Professor's Crush

Little Omega still went every time because even a skinny maybe-teenager was tougher than a university professor who’d spent with her nose in books and art. With nowhere to go and no one to go to, the Trandoshan woman who seemed to be their employer took you in, allowing you to work as a bartender and waitress in her cantina and provide a place to sleep.

Since she was doing a favor, you’d agreed to work for tips rather than a wage. However, Cid was very skilled at keeping tabs and quickly accounted the debt for her hospitality. Half of the tips were taken for what she called your upkeep, which was a narrow, threadbare cot in a supply closet and a meager, self-cooking dehydrated meal twice a day.

When they were around, one or two of the boys would often ask to join the daily stroll and insist on sampling snacks together from this or that place, giving a reprieve from Cid and the cantina. It was obvious they were living hand to mouth as well and you were so grateful for what they were able to share.

In these walks, their varied personalities slowly became known.

Hunter was usually exuded a mix of annoyance and concern while pointing out what was a potential danger and how to avoid it. Wrecker and Omega always joined together and were excited about everything. Tech shared facts about things and species encountered along the way. He was extremely helpful in acclimating to Ord Mantell and never seemed to mind your questions, often appearing eager to answer and engage in a discussion. Surprisingly, you and Tech were becoming friends.

Echo spoke quietly. He’d ask about your work at the university or the books you’d written and the art you’d made. You’d steer him to something interesting that had been discovered or something you found unexpectedly beautiful in this harsh place.

His presence was the most comforting and, as time went on, the time together felt more like dates even though it was simply friends out for a walk. That thought was pushed out of mind every time it swam up, which was becoming more frequent. Still, your gaze lingered along the curves of his face and plush lips and eyes that felt like an endless, warm lake.

You wanted so badly to ask what had happened to give him robotic limbs and the rivets. But his wide golden-brown eyes often looked so morose, and you couldn’t bear the thought of asking him to relive it just to indulge curiosity.

You were falling - had fallen - for Echo.

*

“How about a bet?”

The man smiled lasciviously while shuffling cards, eyes sliding down the embarrassingly low-cut neckline of your halter top. Business had been slow in the cantina today and tips were so few that after Cid took her cut, you may as well be left with nothing. Flirting usually got a few extra credits out of guys like this.

“Hmm,” you mused, dropping your elbows to the bar and leaning forward to give him a good look, pretending to consider the proposal. “What do I get if I win?”

“Every credit I have on me,” he said.

“Which is only enough for half a carton of Martell Mix, I’m sure.”

“A lot more than that, girlie,” he grinned, reaching out to run a finger along your bare shoulder. “And if I win—"

“Her shift is over. I’ll take it from here,” Cid interrupted. How could such a lumbering person sneak up so quietly? “If you’re looking for a card game and a bet, I’ll take you up on that.”

The man’s jaw clenched, narrowed eyes flicking over to skate up and down your form. He slammed credits on the bar and left, grumbling.

“Cid, how am I supposed to save anything to get out of here if my tips keep getting poached?”

“Find a hustle like everyone else.” She crossed her arms. “But if that’s the hustle . . . I don’t want people thinking this is a house of ill repute, if you catch my meaning.”

“It was just flirting and an eye-full,” you snapped. “Nothing would have happened.”

She let out a heavy sigh and shake of the head.

“Ord Mantell isn’t a safe place. Who knows what’s following when you go for those little walks. I don’t care, but for some reason Omega and the boys like you,” she pointed out. “They make me a lot of dough and I’m not gonna risk losing that because some hoity-toity twit got jumped on my watch.”

*

Echo had joined in your daily walk again and you were both seated in the windowsill of the secluded little alcove that had been found together that gave a lovely view of sunrise and sunset or the night sky. A place you never shared with his brothers or sister.

He’d been silent during tonight’s walk, fidgeting with a datapad. Still silent in this place you saved for him.

“I’d like to talk with you about this,” he finally said, handing over the datapad.

You gasped.

It was one of your books.

“Echo . . . you read this?”

“Yes.” The quickest fleeting smile whispered along his face. The first you’d ever seen. “And I have some notes.”

*

“We should head back,” Echo said after a bracing discussion of the book. It felt so good to defend your work again and engage in good-natured, animated debate. It took effort to not be distracted by the way his hand would go to his forehead or his brow would furrow. In the end, it came to a friendly disagreement to be let go.

Honestly, you knew that book sucked.

Echo rose and took your hand to help you up from the windowsill. The help wasn’t needed but the act was sweet and no one had ever done it before.

Both stood unmoving, hand in hand, looking everywhere except each other. You couldn’t take it anymore.

“Echo?”

He looked down, eyes meeting yours. Stars, his eyes were so deep and held the thousand stories that had brought him here to this moment. To you.

Tentatively, you brought a hand to his face and paused before making contact.

“Is this alright?”

He nodded.

You cupped his cheek and felt a pang of sadness at his shudder upon your touch. His left arm ghosted along your back to settle in the middle, unsure of going further. Self-conscious about the cybernetic arm. Self-conscious about all his cybernetics.

You were unbothered and guided the cybernetic arm to encircle your waist then wrapped yours around him and fell into his chest, feeling every rivet and wanting to relieve him of all his troubles. After a few minutes and still locked in each other’s arms, you pulled back to look at him. He angled his face down to yours so close.

“Is this alright?” he asked, lips so nearly brushing yours.

“Yes.”

The kiss.

Angst! Echo x OC (Dawn) Unspoken Love (pt. 1)

Y’ALL THIS IS MY FIRST FANFIC EVER!!!!!! I am so excited to finally publish my first story on Tumblr. I have been inspired by everyone in the The Bad Batch community to write this story <3

@zoeykallus is one of my favorite creators on this website! I was inspired by her to work on this.

Warnings: Mentions of death and grief (takes place during Order 66)

Word Count: 700

Summary:  Echo and reader knew each other before Order 66, and kept a long distance friendship (although they both had feelings for each other). After Order 66, the reader goes silent - leading the Empire to file her as deceased. Echo was devastated by this information. Rex recruits reader and the Bad Batch for a mission. Echo and reader are reunited after many tribulations.

Angst! Echo X OC (Dawn) Unspoken Love (pt. 1)

DECEASED?

"Dawn S. - DECEASED."

Echo couldn't believe what he was reading on his holopad. He began to pace around the Marauder; Hunter could feel Echo's blood pressure and heart rate increase.

Echo's chest rose with every breath he took. Tears are rolling down his prominent cheekbones onto his chest plate. His breaths were becoming louder and uneven, which concerned Hunter. His bodily strength gave out. Allowing himself to finally feel- his tears turned into a river, sounds of a broken man escaped him, and the pain he felt covered his entire being. Consumed by the grief of not only losing the woman he loved from afar but also losing the last best friend he had before the Citadel.

Omega, not understanding his grief, wanted to reach out to him. Her small hand making its way to his shoulder was abruptly held by Hunter. Looking up at him with a confused expression, she saw her brother looking at her with caution. Silently communicating with her that it was not the right time to comfort Echo. Behind Hunter, Omega focused on her other two brothers. Tech kept looking at the ground while Wrecker was shedding tears on behalf of his brother's loss.

Echo's legs were spread while his back was arching into the lower bunk. The painful sobs he released were felt by every soul in the Marauder. His squad allowed him to let out the pain he felt, which he was thankful for in the future.

Not knowing that his other half was alive.

Coruscant (Order 66)

Dawn found herself at the Jedi Temple while Clone Force 99 assisted Kanan Jarrus at the last minute. She enjoyed seeing younglings grow stronger and was fascinated by their relationship with the force. Her loving gaze turned into one of concern as she heard clones running into the room armed. As she was about to ask whether the temple was under attack. The clone trooper attempted to shoot at the closest youngling by his side. The Jedi master and Dawn were too late to save the youngling but made their way to the clone trooper- easily defeating him, he fell to the ground. Dawn had her blasters out, shooting at the Clone troopers from behind while the Jedi master took the front clone troopers. The Jedi master and Dawn were ushering the children out of the room.

The clone troopers were too much for the Jedi to handle all alone. They kept this method for quite a while until they encountered too many at the front. Dawn finished them off and reached for the dying Jedi. The last words she heard were, "Protect them… run away … far from here."

Dawn's head looked down as she felt a weight on her lap. The Jedi master entrusts her with the lives of her younglings by protecting them with their lightsaber. Dawn doesn't hesitate to turn on the lightsaber as she and the kids run away. They found a window where they could go down and hide (the fall is pretty high, but they are using force). She stayed in the back, ensuring each child would go down safely. She heard shouting from afar and ran towards the noise, fighting back against any who tried to harm her and the children. She was wounded by three shots but kept up the fist fight she began with a clone. Her back was facing the window, which gave the clone the idea to push her through the window.

Her scream was deadly as she flew. Feeling the pressure from gravity surrounding her prompted her to close her eyes. Waiting for the deadly impact at the bottom of the Jedi temple. A place where she began working and developed multiple friendships with the people who attempted to kill her that night. Remembering the good times she had with a particular clone, someone to who she never had confessed her love. The biggest regret she had at that moment.

Dawn abruptly felt the force hug her as she landed peacefully on the cement. Looking around, she found the eyes of the kids she swore to protect.

Thank You @zoeykallus So Much! You Write So Beautifully ❤️✨

Thank You @zoeykallus so much! You write so beautifully ❤️✨

Hello!

I love everything you put out Zoe! You have such a talent for writing the boys✨❤️

Can I ask for an Echo x Reader (smut) 👀? Pegging specifically?

I see pegging as something beautiful! I envision this moment for the "female" partner to truly take care of her partner. To let Echo know that he is beautiful, that he makes pretty noises, to touch his body, and to put his needs above hers.

Thanks in advance !

Aloha! Thank you so much! That's so nice to read :))

Oh boy ^^'' I don't think I ever wrote something like this, but let me give it a try...

Echo x Fem!Reader One-sot - Showing You My Love

Hello!

Warnings: SMUT!/18+/Sexual Themes/Pegging/Sub Echo/ Soft Dom Reader/Fluff

________________

Hello!
Hello!

Echo and you have decided to try something new. You've been talking about it for a while and now you're ready, everything is prepared. Echo is lying on his back in front of you. You kneel on a small stool on a cushion for your knees. You have the perfect height with your strap-on.

Echo is a bit nervous, but he trusts you and there is a certain anticipation. He is prepared and all lubed up, his cock already hard from your caresses. Your fingers gently glide over his thigh to his hard length and gently stroke it. Echo moans softly.

"Are you ready?"

He nods and says, "I think so."

"You know we can stop this at any time, you just have to tell me".

Again he nods.

"Then be a good boy for me now and relax" you say softly.

Echo takes a deep breath, at the same moment you place the strap-on on the tight ring of muscles between his butt cheeks. As you begin to exert pressure and slowly advance into the lubed hole, he moans softly.

You take your time, advancing inch by inch, pausing repeatedly to give him time to get used to it.

"Are you okay, Echo?"

A little breathlessly he says, "Everything's fine."

As you bottom out with the strap-on, he moans out and his hard cock twitches under your gently stroking fingers.

"All the way in," you say with a smile, "How does that feel?"

"Strangely intrusive, but in a good way. Is that how it feels to you during sex, when I'm inside you?"

"In a way. It feels as you say intrusive, but in a wonderfully overwhelming way, it feels very intimate and intense, a welcome intrusion so to speak"

You start to move and Echo curses softly, "Kriff"

The tip of his cock is leaking pre-cum. Echo's hands claw into the sheet as you gradually thrust into him faster and your hand grips his hard cock.

"Want me to fuck you, baby?" you ask him suggestively.

His cheeks are flushed, but he nods and says, "Don't hold back."

With a smile, you increase the pace and start pumping his cock in your hand while thrusting the dildo on your waist harness into him with a little more vigor than before.

His breathing is visibly getting heavier, his lips are slightly parted, sighs and moans come out of his mouth.

"Feels better than I thought it would" he admits breathlessly "Cyare, don't stop"

"Don't worry, I won't stop until you cum, I got you my love" you assure him.

It's a nice feeling to see him like this, in ecstasy as he enjoys your intimate care. Echo more than deserves to be cared for. He is always very generous and considerate as a lover and partner, you are only too happy to give him some back.

"You are doing so good my love" you coo to him "enjoy it".

His hard length pulses in your hand, with your other hand you gently grasp his balls, they are firm and tense, you know it won't last long. Echo begins to pant, his fingers digging even harder into the sheet.

"You must let me spoil you too," he presses out between two moans.

You smile and give him a more intense thrust with the strap-on. Echo gasps, his eyes rolling back.

"Focus on you now, on your pleasure, Echo, we'll have time for everything else later".

He nods and says breathlessly, "Anything you want, Mesh'la.... anything you want"

"Good," you coo suggestively, "Because I want you to cum, Echo, can you?"

"Oh kriff... yes, won't be long now," he presses out.

Your hand steadily pumps his cock as you continue to thrust into him with the strap-on. Watching him get carried away with your lovemaking makes your juices pool between your thighs, there are already drops of your arousal on the pillow beneath you and the wet spot continues to spread.

You'll be only too happy to accept his offer to return the favor later. His hips slightly buck up, his thighs are tense and trembling a bit.

"Cyare..." he groans out hoarsely.

"I know, that's good Echo, let go, I've got you".

A deep long drawn out shaky moan comes over his lips, his cock throbs in your hand, spurts a proper load, over your fingers and onto his toned belly. His seed is all warm.

You finally pause and grin at him.

"Well, how was that darling?" you want him to tell you.

He takes a deep breath, leans on his elbows and looks at you.

"Different, intense, good in a new, strange way. Thank you for being so considerate."

You laugh softly, "Echo, you are the most tender and considerate person I know, it's the least I can do for you"

You gently clean him up with a damp cloth before leaving his body and removing the harness. When you look back up, he's sitting upright on the bed and smirking at you, his cock still hard.

"There's something else you could do for me," he says suggestively.

"Oh yeah?"

He gently grabs your hands and pulls you toward him.

"Come here, sweetie, and sit on my lap, I'm not quite done yet".

Okay, there has been someone using my work, copying it with very slight changes. I'm not publicly calling you out yet, and considering you use my work you are probably following me, I guess you're going to see this. You better take down those copied works, or I will call you out publicly. I've seen it before, but these peeps at least tried to make changes and mix things up a little, but this is just audacious.

Wet - Tech first kiss

Wet - Tech First Kiss

Title: Wet Summary: Tech doesn’t want to leave the planet Navya lives on, knowing they won’t ever go back there unless there is an incentive. So, for once, Tech follows his heart – after a little nudge from Echo, of course. CW: None! Tags (if I ever upload to Ao3): fluff, romance, Tech x female OC, no experience Tech, cause I mean do clones have experience??, first kiss, kiss in the rain

Wet - Tech First Kiss

Echo sat down with a grunt before leaning back casually. It was silent in the Marauder now, unlike a minute ago when, for the first time in everyone's lives, Tech had argued with Hunter.

Tech was calm, collected, and would usually follow orders when given. If not, he would have a proper, calm, explanation for why an order was not logical, and Hunter would agree.

This time, Tech had no logical explanation. He had thrown some big words out in a painfully obvious attempt to sound like he had a logical explanation, but Hunter hadn’t bought it.

“That was intense,” Echo commented, earning nothing more but a ‘hm’ from Tech, occupied with data on his data pad.

Or, he looked like he was, but Echo could see him just scrolling mindlessly, eyes not taking in any information.

Echo thoughtfully hummed, a knowing smirk appearing on his lips.

It was not like it had been a proper argument, really. Hunter had seen through Tech the second they had met with the locals. And Hunter had seen through Tech now too. What most likely had bothered Hunter was that it was getting in the way of their ability to complete their job. Their credits were running out, and they would have to refuel the Marauder soon, not to mention eat.

“So…” Echo hummed, wondering what approach to take. Hunter had taken the ‘annoyed’ approach. Wrecker was clueless. Omega too. So it was up to Echo to sort this out now. “Since when does a little rain stop a skilled pilot as yourself?”

Momentarily, all one could hear in the cockpit was the loud, consistent white noise of rain bashing against the hull. ‘A little’ rain was an understatement. It was quite literally pouring down out there, as if someone had opened a water balloon that let out endless supplies of consistent water. It forced one to squint your eyes and breathe through your mouth.

It was bad.

Normal, apparently, to the locals, who had warned them – but the warning had been more to make sure they dressed Omega in warm clothes, not to warn them that they couldn’t take off.

One could fly through rain, even this rain.

“As I mentioned, it would impede the engines’ ability to-“

“Yes,” Echo interrupted with a roll of his eyes, “so you said. Repeatedly.” Echo smirked when Tech looked away from his data pad to offer a stern look to Echo. “You might have been able to fool Wrecker, and you know… I do think Hunter is a little conflicted on whether you were truthful or not. But me? I’ve worked on those engines just as much as you. They can manage. And you can fly through it.”

Tech remained quiet. But his eyes also remained glued on Echo.

No words were said, but Echo still mellowed down. “Why don’t you just go to her.”

“No. I mean…” Tech cleared his throat and finally looked away. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Sure.” Echo leaned forward, trying to catch Tech’s gaze but failing. “Tech. Maybe you’re not even sure of why you’re lying, or whether you are lying. But I am sure about one thing. Whatever you’re doing, you’re doing it because you don’t want to leave.”

“It would be difficult to navigate through the rain,” Tech simply stated.

“Difficult but not impossible,” Echo said with a knowing smile.

“Something… else might be impossible.”

So he was aware.

Curious.

“I am not…” Tech turned to glance at his friend and brother, knee nervously jumping up and down, “naturally inclined toward showing feelings.”

“You have them though.” Echo leaned back in his chair again, crossing his arms over his chest. “Whatever is making you lie to Hunter, even yourself… access it. Decrypt it. And listen to the code.”

Nervously, Tech pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, leg continuing its nervous movement…

Then it clicked.

He stood, giving Echo one last glance that looked mildly grateful, before leaving the cockpit.

Echo smiled.

“But it’s raining!” Hunter had closed himself off from the others to try and calm down. He was not angry, nor had this been a proper fight between him and Tech. It was just that he was a little oversensitive, and when he himself had raised his voice, he had accidentally triggered himself.

Sharpening his knife in a quiet, dark room was his way to calm down.

But the closed door didn’t shut out all sounds from the rest of the ship. Especially not to someone with heightened senses. And he easily heard the faint beeping of the ramp being lowered to the outside along with multiple questions thrown around in confusion.

Standing, he left his dark compartment to investigate, a protective mode on.

“Where are you going?” Hunter asked with wide eyes.

With the ramp opened, the bad weather outside was obvious: darkness that made it difficult to see past your own feet, and rain slashing down on you if you left the comfort of a ceiling above your head.

He had to raise his voice again just to be heard over the noise of rain, but his need to protect his squad overpowered his sensitive sense.

Everyone watched as Tech lifted the hood of a cloak that would do nothing in this weather over his head before saying: “The impossible.”

“What?” Wrecker and Omega watched with bated breaths whether this would become another fight. But then Hunter mellowed down. “Tech, at least tell me where you’re off to.”

Tech did nothing more but stare at his leader. “I’ll be back shortly.”

“Tech.” Tech paused one last time at his leader’s call. “Say hello to Navya for us.”

Tech blushed furiously, earning a smirk from Hunter before he granted the man an approving nod…

The darkness this storm brought with it did nothing to stop Tech from getting to Navya’s house. He had memorized the way the second he had first laid eyes on Navya, hoping that nothing would ever happen to this little village for him to have to use that knowledge and protect her.

He knocked on the door. Lights were on inside, and more turned on as Navya made her way to the door. Opening it, she already looked surprised as no one was out and about in this weather, and definitely not to go visit her. She sold technology, either in parts or made whole, and no one was quite interested in that when it rained.

“Tech?” she asked, lifting a lantern to get a better look. Her eyes widened, mouth forming an ‘o’ in surprise. “Tech! What are you doing?”

Too shocked to move, Navya stayed in the doorway. That was alright. Tech had no intention to go inside. That felt… improper.

But he couldn’t leave this planet without at least…

Admitting his own improper thoughts.

“Navya.” Water flowed down his face, seeping through the cloak and into his armour. Despite his enhanced DNA, he would feel a little off the next day from letting his body temperature fall. It was worth it though. “We are leaving.”

She blinked in confusion. “I know that, Tech. We said goodbye.”

“No, we didn’t.” Tech was well aware that that would confuse her even more. They had, in fact, shared a very proper goodbye. He had even waved at her from across the room.

She had smiled… She had stopped herself from walking over. And her smile had wavered and disappeared upon the realization that they wouldn’t meet ever again.

It had been a goodbye.

But not one he wanted.

“Not… Not as I would have liked it.” Tech cleared his throat.

“Tech, you should come inside-“

“I will be fine. This won’t take long.” He cleared his throat again. It wouldn’t take long if he could just get the words to come out. “I wanted to say goodbye.” Dammit. “But not a goodbye.”

Oh he wasn’t sounding very smart right about now. Maybe decrypting those pesky feelings he felt had made him download a virus.

But he wasn’t a droid. He didn’t even have parts on him.

He was human, and deep down past the intellect and awkwardness that came with being hyper aware of everything but emotions, especially his own, he knew that it wasn’t a virus, just a nervous stutter as his heart fluttered in the presence of her.

“I wanted it to be a goodbye lacking the outcome of us never seeing each other again.”

She stared in shock. “That would require the variable of your team coming back. That variable doesn’t exist.”

“Not without any other jobs bringing us here,” Tech agreed with a nod.

“This is such a remote place, you won’t come back.” Her gaze fell to the floor in pain.

“Wrong.” Tech adjusted his goggles awkwardly. “I can be the variable impacting the equation so the solution becomes different.”

Blinking in surprise, Navya stared at him once more. “How?”

“Like this.” Tech stepped forward once. “May I have permission to kiss you?”

Her eyes widened in surprise. But it was a good surprise. She had wanted to ask that question herself for a few days now. “Yes. You have permission.”

It momentarily looked as though Tech hadn’t thought he would get the permission, pausing to let his gaze flicker down to her lips questioningly. But then he leaned down, water trickling from his hood down onto her face as he pecked her lips once.

That was it.

Just a quick peck. He’d seen people do that, but he had never studied it further. To do so would be creepy, and the data pads along with any information clones were given about humanity held very little info on physical contact.

She, on the other hand, had lived a full life. So when Tech stepped away again, out into the rain, she wasn’t satisfied with just the one little peck. She followed him out into the rain, immediately getting drenched, reached her hands up to his cheeks and pulled him in for a proper kiss. A deep one.

And two kisses.

And three.

It ended with a fourth, gentle, kiss to the side of his lips. At some point he had felt his body react naturally and had kissed her back, but he hadn’t been aware of his hands finding their way to her hips.

Yet, there they were.

And he smiled down at her, face red and heartbeat no longer stuttering, but beating with a radiating warmth that made him forget it was raining.

“So?” Echo sat back down in the cockpit, staring at Tech as he prepared the ship for take-off.

It was still pouring down outside, but Tech had finally come to his senses that the ship could handle the weather, and that his flying capabilities were good enough to navigate through the storm with ease.

The others sat down in the cockpit too, Hunter helping Omega strap in.

Just in case.

“So, what?” Tech asked innocently.

“How was Navya?” Echo asked.

Wrecker leaned forwards, an eager grin on his lips. Hunter and Echo had explained to Wrecker, and Omega in less detail, what was going on with Tech.

Obviously, now that Wrecker knew, he needed the full details.

Tech glanced to Echo, pausing his actions momentarily. Then he turned to catch even Hunter waiting impatiently, though the leader pretended he wasn’t doing so by pulling out his knife to play with.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

With a groan, Wrecker grabbed a hold of Tech’s chair and shook it impatiently. “Just tell us! Did you kiss her?”

Omega giggled at Tech looking rather rattled.

“I do believe that is none of your business,” Tech stated.

“That wasn’t a no,” Echo teased.

“We had a discussion that I should…” Tech glanced back at Hunter, who had stopped playing with his knife to listen in. He caught Tech’s gaze and tilted his head curiously. “That I should visit. From time to time.”

Hunter smiled and nodded his head in understanding.

“So how was it!?” Wrecker shouted. “The kiss!?”

Tech rolled his eyes. “It was…” He thought about it for a bit. “Wet.”

“Too much information,” Echo groaned.

“Why was it wet?” Omega asked innocently.

“Because-“ Tech went to reply, well aware that this was innocent enough to explain to a child. It had just been a kiss or two or three in the rain.

The others, however, had other things on their mind.

Very improper things.

They shouted out a quick ‘NO!’ to Tech, who looked around in confusion together with Omega.

UNDERSTANDING ──── Echo.

UNDERSTANDING ──── echo.

summary: in the middle of the night, echo finds you, hurt and exhausted and in need of an apology. with the prompt "you want a bite?" / requests are closed!

pairing: arc trooper echo x reader

word count: 1.6k

warnings: none! just a sprinkling of angst and grief.

a/n: so…. i kinda went crazy with this one….... it's a bit angsty but i hope you like it anyway! to me, this prompt felt like it would be awkward, maybe used as a way of proposing a truce, or a peace offering. also, i listened to “waves” by chloe moriondo while writing this!

You’re not sure what to think of Echo.

Most of the time, he’s quiet. When he does speak, it’s usually to enforce a rule, remind the group of their current plan, or to keep Wrecker in check.

Officially, Hunter is the group leader; ever since Clone Force 99 accepted you into their squad, that much has been clear.

You’re the only non-clone—or “natborn” as the others refer to you—living on the Marauder. It’s been several months since you saved Omega from bounty hunters on your home planet of Pantora, and now, you’re as much a part of the Bad Batch as anyone else.

Except, you’re not a batcher. Not really.

Despite how much you care for your squadmates, it’s easy to feel separated from them at times. Easy to feel different.

Most of the others have picked up on this by now, and often go to great lengths to make you feel like one of them.

Not Echo, though. He seems wary of you, and you’re not sure why. Once, you brought it up to Tech, who simply waved you off with one of his shrewd, knowledge-filled comments. “You are new here, you know. Some people are simply slower to open up than others.”

You, however, know that’s not the case. You’ve seen Echo with his brothers, and with Omega. He can be kind, and funny, and even angry. But to you… to you, he’s nothing but quiet.

For some time, you tried your hardest to be yourself around him—to crack your usual sarcastic jokes at his expense, to be friendly, like you are with the others. But the constant avoidance and clipped answers leave you increasingly confused and hurt.

So you withdrew from him, too.

It still bothers you, sometimes. But you’ve learned to brush it off.

Now, you sit in the cockpit, feet resting against the control panel. A ration bar—one of the good ones—rests in your hand. Every so often, as you watch the blue glow of hyperspace streak past the viewport, you take a bite of the ration bar.

You’re on first watch. Someone has to stay in the cockpit to oversee the ship’s journey back to Ord Mantell—and, since you still can’t fall asleep in hyperspace, you keep volunteering for the job. The cockpit is mostly dark. All the lights are off, and the viewport is dimmed. Anything brighter reminds you of how sleep-deprived you are, and so you’re content to sit in the blue gloom.

Leaning your head against the headrest of the pilot’s chair, you close your eyes. Your entire body feels heavy with exhaustion, but every time you try to drift off, the rumbling of the ship’s hyperdrive jerks you awake.

The sound of footsteps startles you. You open your eyes, leaning around the back of the chair to inspect what little part of the ship’s corridor you can see. You can hear the sounds of someone moving around by the small common area, but you can’t tell who it is.

Tech’s probably experimenting again, you think wryly, and settle back into your comfortable position.

Soon, though, the footsteps grow closer. Someone enters the cockpit with a tired sigh, placing something on one of the chairs nearer to the door. It sort of sounds like Hunter, but with the similarity between everyone’s voices, you can’t be sure.

The footsteps halt suddenly. You look up to find honey-coloured eyes surveying you with apprehension. In the dim light, awash with blue, you register the glint of a cybernetic headpiece.

“Oh,” you say, blinking up at Echo, “hi.”

Echo only grunts.

You frown, looking down at your hands, at your half-eaten ration bar. “It’s late,” you say quietly. “You, um—you should get some rest.”

When Echo answers, you don’t look up. “I slept for a couple hours.”

Slowly, you nod, fiddling with the foil wrapper of the ration bar. The cockpit falls silent; you wait for Echo to leave, but he stays still, his shadow falling over your tired frame.

You want to ask why he’s still here. You want to be rude, to ask him to leave so you can have some peace and quiet. But truthfully, he isn’t saying anything, or causing any disturbances, so instead you hold up your unfinished ration bar. “You want a bite?”

Echo blinks. It seems to take him a moment to process your question. Then, to your faint surprise, he nods. “Thank you,” he says as you hand him the ration bar wordlessly.

It’s a peace offering, of sorts.

He sits in the co-pilot’s chair and takes a hesitant bite, chewing slowly. You see his expression brighten—probably at the realization that this is one of the good ration bars, the kind that Hunter always says not to hog—then return to his usual neutral one.

You watch as he swallows. He hands you back the bar, holding out his hand, but you don’t take it.

“Why… why are you here?” you ask quietly.

As soon as the words leave your mouth, Echo drops his arm and breaks eye contact, looking almost—embarrassed. Or maybe even ashamed.

Still, you wait for his answer. Several long, painful seconds pass before he says anything. When he speaks, it’s like he’s forcing out the words.

“I wanted to—” he pauses. His flesh hand fiddles with his metal one. “I wanted to apologize.”

You feel your breath hitch. Staring, you try not to gape. “What?” you say, whispering without meaning to. “I don’t—”

“I’ve been horrible to you,” Echo continues, voice steadier. “I didn’t mean to be so… withdrawn. I didn’t realize I was doing it. I… I hope you can forgive me.”

Instead of acknowledging his apology, you bite the inside of your cheek with uncertainty, then cross your arms over your chest. One of the others must have put him up to this. Probably Omega, or perhaps Hunter. Raising an eyebrow, you ask, “Who sent you?”

“No one!” Echo replies hurriedly, then presses his lips into a thin line. “I mean, Hunter told me that you—he said that—” He sighs. “I didn’t realize it on my own. But I came because I wanted to.”

You blink, cursing yourself when you feel your eyes sting. With a start, you realize that this is the most Echo has said to you since you joined the squad.

Taking in a breath, you wring your hands anxiously. “I just… I just don’t understand why.” You shrug. “You’re not the same with me. Not like how you are with the others.”

Echo swallows. “It’s not—”

“I just want to know what I did wrong.”

At that, Echo falls silent. Guilt permeates the air, enough that you can feel it.

“Hey,” Echo says, kinder than you’ve ever heard him. “Look at me.”

You do. His eyes, like lava, or maybe liquid gold, bore into you. It almost hurts to look.

“This,” he continues, gesturing to the space between you, “is not your fault.”

Against your will, a lone tear slips down your cheek. “So whose fault is it?” you whisper, barely loud enough to be heard over the ship’s engine

It’s obvious from the look on Echo’s face that he’s thinking of something—or someone—specific. Despite how much you want to, you don’t ask.

You just wait.

“It’s my brother,” Echo finally murmurs, and you raise your eyebrows, quickly cycling through the rest of your squad. Hunter, Wrecker, Tech… maybe Crosshair? You can’t think what any of them, even the one who’s no longer a member of your group, have to do with you.

“Your... brother,” you repeat dumbly.

“Yes.” Echo nods. “Fives.”

Oh. A fellow soldier, then. Probably from before the war ended… and probably long dead.

Drawing in a shaky breath, you hastily wipe your cheek with your sleeve. “What—what about him?”

“You…” Echo shakes his head, then lets out a humourless chuckle as he turns to look at the viewport, at the swirling blues and whites and greys of hyperspace. When he speaks again, his voice is barely above a whisper. “You remind me of him.”

You blink.

Truthfully, you have no idea what to say to that. Luckily, Echo continues, saving you from having to come up with an answer.

“Your sense of humour, I mean. The sarcasm, the jokes.” He shrugs, and the light from the viewport catches on his cybernetic headpiece, glinting in the otherwise dim cockpit. “And… and the way you know people.”

“‘Know people’?” you echo, confused. “I’m not following.”

“You understand people,” Echo says, and finally looks at you again, eyes impossibly sad. “Somehow, without ever having experienced what others have gone through, you understand their pain—and you feel it with them.” He closes his eyes for a brief moment, then opens them again. “Fives used to do that too.”

And suddenly, as though a switch inside you has been flipped, it all makes sense. “That’s why you’ve been avoiding me,” you realize, and Echo winces. “It’s because I remind you of him.”

“See?” The barest hint of a smile graces his lips. “You’re doing it now. And you’re not even trying.”

“I guess I never thought about it like that.”

“I’m sorry for everything,” Echo says. “I am. It just…”

“Hurts,” you finish, and Echo blinks, surprised. You smile softly. “I know you too, you know.” Reaching out, you take his flesh hand, gently prying it open and taking the ration bar. As Echo watches, you split the remaining piece in half and hand one to him. “And for what it’s worth—I forgive you.”

The shadows colouring Echo’s face suddenly seem lighter. He smiles, then—really smiles.

You take a bite of the ration bar and smile back.

Hello love! I’ve been enjoying reading your work over the past few days ☺️

Would you be able to write an Echo x Latina (brown) mid/plus size reader?

Echo and reader have been friends for a long time (reader is a part of the gang; and everyone sees them as a couple). Yet their insecurities prevent themselves from forming a relationship since they want the “best” for the other.

Somehow they do overcome their insecurities and end up together :)

Hunter is relieved 😅

Another thing I have never done yet 😅 I hope I can do this right for you, let me give it a try, sweetheart :)) You didn't really say if you wanted fluff/nsfw or suggestive. So I stayed fluffy with some soft body contact, hope that's okay.

Echo x Mid/Plus Size Latina Reader - Friends To Lovers

Fluff / Romance / Soft Body Contact

Sugar

"What's that supposed to mean now?"

Echo looked at Wrecker annoyed, he didn't like it when others interfered in his personal affairs.

Wrecker sighed and said, "Well, listen, it's obvious that you two like each other."

Echo waved it off and said, "It doesn't matter, she deserves better than me."

Hunter spoke up from the background, "Stop it Echo, that's nonsense."

Hunter came walking into the main room of the Marauder and looked at his brother reprovingly.

"Stop making yourself so small all the time, you're a great guy, a damn good soldier and an even better person. She likes you, you like her, that's actually pretty simple."

Echo sighed and straightened up.

"I don't know" he said uncertainly "I really do like her immensely and we are good friends, but if I take one more step now I could ruin it all"

The ramp opened, preventing Hunter from giving Echo an answer. Echo's heart almost stopped when he saw you come into the Marauder. You were wearing civi clothes, a breezy summer dress that gently hugged your wonderful curves, not too raunchy, but not entirely innocent either. Your tanned skin glistened a little from the lotion you always used and that he loved to smell.

His gaze wandered along your body for a moment, he loved your curves so much. But he hurriedly broke away, threw you a soft smile and walked past you to the outside. Crosshair was standing outside, he had accompanied you to get a few things. When he saw Echo come out he nodded silently at him.

"Did you get everything?" asked Echo.

"Most of it," Crosshair grumbled.

"Echo."

Your voice tingled under his skin. He turned to you and saw you coming down the ramp to the outside.

"Yes?" he said almost tentatively.

"Can I talk to you in private for a moment?"

He swallowed, his heart pounding in his throat, but he nodded and said, "Of course."

You were nervous, Echo was so incredibly cute and you liked him way too much not to be nervous.

"I've been thinking," you began and your heart wanted to run away from you, it was beating so fast in your chest.

He looked at you intently and his gaze felt like he was crawling into your soul to cuddle with it, Echo always seemed to you like he could just slip inside you and heal all the wounds that had ever existed inside you.

"About what, Mesh'la?" he asked softly.

You felt heat rise in your cheeks, Mesh'la, whenever he called you that you got all warm, you knew what it meant and it was so incredibly flattering and sweet.

"About you and me," you finally said, bolder than you actually felt.

His eyes grew wide.

"Oh... I, did I do something wrong?"

You frowned, wondering why that was the first thing he thought.

"No. I don't know why you think that but-"

"I know I stare at you a lot but I would never presume to approach you inappropriately or-"

You laughed softly and interrupted him, "No, no, no. Echo, what I wanted to say is.... I'm incredibly fond of you, maybe a lot more than I should be.... I don't know... I just wanted to get that off my chest and," you interrupted yourself, shrugging your shoulders helplessly.

"Please say something," you finally said softly.

Echo took a step toward you, his hand wandering to your cheek and gently nuzzling it.

His head came closer and with a soft sigh, leaned his forehead against yours.

Softly, gently, almost whispering he said," I'm crazy about you Sugar, so blown away. For a very long time I've had a crush on you, but we both know I'm different and I always thought.... I always thought you could never love someone like me."

You let out a stuttering breath. You'd always known he liked you, but you hadn't known how much. His confession seemed to take the air out of your lungs and at the same time give your heart wings.

"Echo," you spoke softly, "I want to be more than friends."

His lips came closer, but before they touched yours he asked, "Are you sure about that?"

"Perfectly"

His lips touched yours, warmer and softer than expected, tentative, gently testing, then more intimate, confident and finally demanding.

His tongue opened your lips and began to hunt yours, each velvety collision a firebrand in your neural pathways, a tingling in your belly that spread in warm waves.

As you both broke breathlessly from the kiss, his arm moved around your waist, pulling you even closer to him. His forehead leaned against yours again and he smiled with his eyes closed.

Behind you a clapping sounded and an exclamation that could only be from Wrecker. You obviously had an audience, but for the moment you didn't care, even though you felt heat rising in your cheeks again.

Feeling his arm around your curvy body was a bit of a shock at first, you were never sure if he could desire you, you weren't one of those girls the guys hung up as posters in their bunks, you were a bit roundish. But Echo pressed you so tenderly and lovingly against him that you forgot any self-doubt and could just enjoy the moment.
