I'm pissed off to see that Palestine is not trending on here. I know that we all have interests we want to talk about, but this week is another global strike, Palestine should be the number one trending, and it's not even number 10. You can put aside your interests for one week. Bisan and so many others are begging us to use our voices to pressure our governments to put an end to this genocide. MILLIONS of people are counting on us, PLEASE don't look away no matter how upset and tired you are. We have the luxury of being able to just put our phones down and going off to do something to feel better. But just this once, for ONE WEEK, you can put aside your discomfort and SPEAK UP. How many people have to die for you to care.

Mohammed (@ahmed0khalil) and his family are sheltering in a school-turned-shelter at Deir el-Balah right now. Do you know how terrified I was to see on the news that a school in Deir el-Balah has just been bombed?? A school that was housing thousands of displaced families! At least 28 people have been killed and 92 injured.

Mohammed sent me a photo of a severed foot, telling me there he was at the school moments before the massacre happened! It could have been him that was killed, that severed food could have been his, it could so easily have been him! Luckily he and his family were not there when the airstrike hit. But do you know how scared I am for them?? Mohammed told me he saw so much blood and body parts lying around. God, what can I even say? Mohammed is only 19 years old, his youngest brother is only 6, what have they done to have to go through this absolute nightmare?

Most of the victims of this bombing were women, children, and young people. Like Mohammed and his 5 siblings! The medical personnel are trying their best to treat the injured, but it is difficult due to the lack of supplies and the hospital is absolutely overwhelmed. I'm so scared for Mohammed and his family. They are so young, what if it had been them?

More than 300 Palestinian sports teams are calling to ban Israel from the Olympics over its genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. [...] In Gaza, Israel has killed Palestinian Olympic Football coach Hani Al Masdar, destroyed the Palestinian Olympic Committee offices, and turned sports facilities into shameful mass detention and torture centers. We can’t sit back as the IOC allows Israel to use the Olympics to sportswash its genocide in Gaza and its apartheid regime against Palestinians everywhere. Support the call from Palestinian teams. Join the campaign to #BanIsrael from the Olympics and peacefully disrupt the road to the Paris 2024 games. 

Global days of action planned for March 15-17:

Ahead of the IOC executive board meeting in Lausanne Switzerland (March 19-21), take the call from Palestinian teams to your National Olympic Committee, International Sports Federations and Recognized Sports Federations. Organize protests, sit-ins, peaceful disruptions, or awareness raising events on Israeli attacks on Palestinian sports.
