Langst - a locked door

Just some langst one shot

image

Lance had been going without his antidepressants as he left them on earth.

Each day was worse than the last but of course

He’d never admit to such a thing

His mind was his enemy, no one did but if you looked close enough you’d see his eyes dull the smallest but every single day. His smiles became fake but they slowly faded along with his jokes and trying to flirt with people. They never picked up on his laughs as they were only there cause if he didn’t they would be loud unbearable sobs.

I mean hey the one time he cried it was a joke.

Yeah, a joke.

Lance would always say that to himself that he was a joke and people better than him were the easiest thing to find. He wasn’t important... he was irrelevant... invalid... unnecessary.

They had a team bonding exercises and it was no longer Pidge who had troubles opening up rather Lance.

The group shouted at him as he blurred it out he was very good at that. Just as Pidge did slammed it on the ground but ran off for the rest of the day.

No one followed

no one cared to ask

Nothing

Lance was fine with that he wasn’t surprised that no one cared maybe he should make it easy and kill himself. Take his Bayard and shot and/or stab himself or let a bot kill him.

Lance frowned thinking no in my room I don’t want to have the change someone finds me and puts me in a healing pod... they’d think it would be a waste of time...

Little did Lance know he was the support of the group to hold them up for support.

Also the defense, he protected them as much as he could from the outside world.

He agreed with the gods that yes this was a hell that managed to pick him. Him to be the one who suffers from anxiety, depression, and some things he can even begin to explain. He shuddered at the idea of having his medicine, he yearned for them. For him to feel it coarse through his body and make his feel numb. He’d rather be numb than sad he decided. Being numb made it easier to fake the happiness than the darkness from depression making a smile almost unbearable let alone a laugh.

The others were discussing with Kolivan and Keith when Keith finally asked, “Where’s Lance?”

Pidge fixed her glasses, “He stormed out during training today and haven’t seen him since.”

Kolivan must have felt Keith worries, “And you didn’t speak to him, you need him here if you want to go through with this plan.”

Allura fixed her crown, “That isn’t necessary.”

Hunk looked over wanting to interject but his own doubt has been consuming him as Lance hasn’t been around long enough for Hunk to be comforted.

Pidge and Shiro’s stress has been taking a toll on them as Lance hasn’t been around to reassure them and make sure they know everything will be alright.

Matt’s loneliness even though he had Katie took over as he felt slightly at a loss for no apparent reason and hasn’t been able to hear from Lance about how it’s okay not to have a reason and the feeling is normal and it’ll all be okay.

Allura’s homesickness was no longer an issue as she had Lotor to cling too and the team slightly found her statement rude but none had the strength to do so.

Coran was worried for the boy but as he was for the longest bit Allura’s guardian he never went against her word.

Keith was terrified of Lance, he’s seen Lances vulnerable side but that wasn’t even a bit of it, Lance inside was a number 5 hurricane maybe even 6.

But in the end, it didn’t matter Lance wasn’t checked on.

Kolivan sighed, “Very well.”

Keith wanted to flick Allura off or go for herself when he looked at Hunk who was looking at Keith.

Lance was in his room putting through his plan and didn’t know so he shrugged and pulled out his Bayard.

He thought everything will be fine Allura has blue Keith could take red Shiro would have black Hunk would have yellow and Pidge would have green.

Nothing was wrong.

Nothing was ever wrong.

-SELF HARM & SUICIDE MENTIONS BELOW-

Lance sharply inhaled as he threw it at the wall and then went to the bathroom.

Lance violently threw things around as he started the water turning the cold on high and plugged it. Lance threw stuff around shoving all of his beauty routine supplies in the trash and destroyed everything letting his eyes land on a box. He swallowed at the lump in his through the familiar shiny sharp pieces of metal, some with blood crusted on the edges. He never told anyone as he slyly paid for them and hid them in his pocket. Lance rather set those aside and felt into his pocket and smiled as an inviting sting jolted up his arm when his thumb pressed onto the blade the outer layer of skin completely cut through.

He pressed forward slightly screaming as it hit the bone.

He huffed as it was pained and heard drips of blood fall from his jacket pocket.

Lance ripped out the blade hitting his teeth scared they may break.

The others thought they heard a scream but dismissed it as if they were just paranoid.

Lance was thankful but little did he know the others were discussing whether they should check on him or not.

Lance looked at the bath for a good couple of minutes, “This is it... it’ll soon be over.”

The mice had a bad feeling and hurried off to Hunk or Pidge or Matt people that could try and listen.

Lance without taking off any clothing slowly sank into the tub not taking notice it was seconds from overflowing but nothing was plugged in and no cords were near the ground so no shocking would take place.

Lance didn’t cry he looked happy as he took the blade with a shaky hand. He couldn’t feel his face as he was numb but he picked up on drips of water that fell and knew wasn’t from the water being brought into the tub and pressed a hand to his face and couldn’t pick up any feeling.

He pulled up his sleeves and slowly pressed down and closed his eyes and slammed it down into his wrists causing them to bleed like crazy Lance let out a scream that was dismissed again but the mice moved quicker with that.

Kolivan and Keith we’re heading to the castle for further discussion on the grand meeting.

They arrived when the mice reached the team and went to Pidge and she dismissed them until they got to Hunk and Matt.

Hunk always felt Lance was hiding something and nodded Matt along with Hunk bolted for Lance room passing Keith and Kolivan in their way. Keith and Kolivan exchanged a look that was extremely unsettling by the speed of the two that passed.

Lance stuck his other arm and screamed and ripped it out continuing until he felt the corners of his vision grow blurry and black and faded. He felt his body sink into the ice-cold water and the air rush out of his lungs but never really needed to go back in.

Light red water covered the floor running out of the bathroom now through Lance’s room under the crack of his door into the hallway.

Hunk screamed, “Lance open the door right now!”

Matt banged on the door as more water flowed out, “Lance! Come on this isn’t funny!”

The two sounded desperate Pidge scurried over to the door hacking it open as she had her laptop. The bottom of Lance’s floor was covered in 2 inches of water with a pink tint to it. It reeked and little did they know what laid in the bathroom would be the cause of it.

Pidge screamed in horror when she spotted Lance.

Hunk pulled Lance’s head from under the water and didn’t catch a pulse and started to perform CPR.

Matt ran down the halls Pidge screaming to get a pod ready and Matt screaming for the help of the others.

Hunk got Lance’s pulse but Lance never coughed as he never took in water his nose had been poking out of the water but was severely bleeding out. The sight of Lance’s arms and wrists made Hunk wince and gag.

The other feet were thumping through the halls and Hunk was running a pretty much dead Lance in his arms. A tiny strip of blood dripping from Lance’s arms constantly leaving a pretty much-filled line of blood. Keith now ahead of Hunk he willed his body to move faster. And it stopped when he saw Hunk turn the corner and ran right in front of Keith heading to the pods and the line of blood that followed Hunk made the others freeze but Matt kept running as his body went into overdrive.

Hunk was wheezing as he ran his orange headband flying behind him as he ran. The others never have seen him move faster. Pidge was waiting, “It’s ready! Get him in here now!”

They never had the time to change him he was in soaked clothing everything slightly pink now and his sleeves completely stained red.

It kept dripping and when Hunk shoved Lance in Lance’s body floated motionlessly.

Hunk sank to the ground in loud sobs and the others stood there motionless as well.

Thoughts raced through their heads;

Why didn’t Lance tell us?

We’re the worst team ever.

Why would Lance do that?

It’s all my fault.

How could we not have noticed?

Why did I yell at him?

Why didn’t I ask him if he was okay?

Why didn’t I care?

The thoughts swirled through their heads relentlessly.

Yet that’s funny as they’ll know how Lance’s mind was, but so much worse it was basically all the natural disasters in the world put together. Letting Lance take a spiraling path that no one cared to intercept.

A beautifully horrifying mess that destroyed Lance as if he were a domino forced to crash along with everything else collapsing leading to him.

Lance’s bleeding continued as his blood was dripping through his clothes slowing down sad thing is, is it wasn’t because he was healing his body couldn’t put forth the energy. His pulse is slow but slowly speeding up again.

A week passed and no one has left except Kolivan, Keith stayed and left the BOM. Lance was his teammate and so much more and Keith became Lance’s stability and Lance was him but Keith left probably ruining the bond they created. Yet he will try his best.

They had no idea how’d Lance would feel when he got out... but they all knew Lance would never be the same.

His cuts so deep they healed but the skin never reattach and he was thin. Way too thin. His eyes had dark bags underneath them and he was still floating.

The pod opened everyone’s hearts in their throat. Lance opened his eyes and they were full no source of happiness in his features whatsoever and blinked slowly inhumanly and breathed shallowly. He stood up tugging away from anyone who touched him pissed he was alive, pissed his suicide attempt failed maybe he should have stabbed himself in the chest that would have been easier. Lance tugged away from Hunk snapping knowing Hunk was probably the one who saved him.

His words shook them all.

“I didn’t want your help! I don’t want to be here! I want to be dead! This is insanity... this is fucking great! I support you I was there for all of you! Whenever you were moody or sad or upset I comfort you guys... I made sure you were okay!”

Lance coughed and then continued, “Now... I want you all to know... This is who I am. This is your annoying too loud too flirty lover-boy goofball Lance!” Lance spoke with so much hatred for himself.

“I don’t want to hear it all your lies, cause god knows none of you cared! And some of you shock me to this very moment. I tried and tried and tried and I tried some more, but when all your stuck up asses are to busy thinking of what you want I cared I listened!”

Lance sobbed sinking to the ground and they all know now Lance is never coming back. This is the broken mess they created. Oh god. They caused that.

Slowly they all felt tears fall, they all held Lance, no one spoke, he didn’t fight back, no one spoke. The void was filled with warm hugs and shaky breaths, silent sobs, and a screaming voice inside.

What now?

Unknowingly Mysterious But Funny

Quirk analysis was something Izuku did the moment he learned how to write. He’s always been in love with heroes and quirks abilities, so he decided to combine the two.

With each year that passed, Izuku filled 1-2 notebooks full of hero analysis. As time passed his abilities sharpened. He was better at reading battles, comprehending moves, and determining the difference between calculated fighting and quick reflexes.

Putting his analysis to use was nothing more than a dream Izuku had. Of course, that’s all his life could be without a quirk. He’d never be able to investigate what he’s capable of or think about how his quirk would work against different quirks. He was quirkless, the baseline of human capabilities.

Then the unthinkable happens, he meets the underground hero Eraserhead. It was completely by accident, but upon revealing his accurate hero analysis to the underground hero, it was hard to convince the adult that.

No one he’d ever met in his life had told him that he would be a good hero. So, imagine his surprise when the underground pro hero Eraserhead told him that he had great potential.

It was a dream come true.

The moment he shared with Aizawa was enough to motivate him to train to near perfection. When the entrance exam came, Izuku felt confident of his performance in all aspects. As he walked home, he knew he aced the written portion, and he did manage to destroy a handful of bots before saving a girl stuck under rubble.

Still, saving the girl was no easy feat and Recovery Girl handed him some gummies to replenish his strength. As Izuku finished enjoying the stamina gummy from Recovery Girl, she slipped a note to him. Raising a brow, he opened it up slowly. Inside contained a small keycard and a room number written on it.

Initially confusion plagued Izuku. He was an average applicant to UA with no special ties to the school. He had never met Recovery Girl before either, so it was shocking that she approached him for the sole purpose of slipping a note.

It felt like a set up, but he had to put his trust in the heroes. Maybe the applicants that were going to be accepted all got a secret note? Still there were a lot of successful people within his group alone who haven’t gotten a note.

Marching his way to the front doors of the main building, he was shocked to see the card worked. As he entered the corridors of the building, excitement filled his being. He was walking inside the number one hero school in Japan: the notorious UA. Being able to see his dream school in person was nothing short of a dream come true.

The corridors were tall, wide, and painfully long. The doors that led to rooms were just as big as the rest of the building. So much so that Izuku wondered how many individuals with gigantism-based quirks attended UA.

When he reached the room, he happily opened the door only to be greeted by a white… mouse?

“Welcome Izuku Midoriya, I apologize for the inconvenience. I am Principal Nezu,” introduced Nezu fondly, wearing a small smile with his paws resting on the table top.

“Oh! It’s a pleasure to meet you, mister Nezu sir!” squeaked Midoriya as he violently bowed.

“No need to be formal. I simply couldn’t resist meeting the person who caught the attention of Eraserhead,” revealed the adult charmingly.

Midoriya rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Really? Did he tell you that?”

Nezu nodded slowly, closing his eyes as his smile grew, spreading across his face. “Yes, he did. He told me everything. I must say, from what I’ve heard and with what I’ve seen today. You’ve made me want to do something I haven’t done in a long time.”

Swallowing the lump in his throat, Midoriya barely mustered the courage to ask, “What may that be if you don’t mind me asking?”

“How would you like to take the final test to become my personal student?”

Midoriya became the first student in ten years to become Nezu’s personal student. While Midoriya wanted to be in the hero course, Nezu promised that his curriculum was nearly identical, but the difficulty level was higher and there was more focus on the analytical and craft behind detective work for heroes.

Midoriya quickly became a hot topic in the school within the first month. No one knew who Midoriya was and apparently, he was hard to track.

Most students only knew who was in their classes and people in their grade. So, the only people who had a good chance of figuring out who Midoriya was were the first years, still they could mistake Midoriya for an upperclassman.

It didn’t take long for the attention to fall off Midoriya when UA found themselves in hot water. It became a recurring theme which caught the attention of Midoriya.

After spending two weeks analyzing class 1-A in secret, Midoriya determined he wanted to be their friend. He didn’t want to be the one to approach considering Bakugo was in the class and had bullied Midoriya up until they no longer saw each other.

Midoriya planted himself near Aizawa a lot more often. Class 1-A were constantly in close contact with their homeroom teacher so it didn’t take long for word to spread about a mysterious boy with green hair and freckles to spread among the group.

Kirishima and Kaminari were the most vocal about their curiosity and had gained the confidence to ask about it.

“Mister Aizawa,” called out Kirishima quickly.

“Yes, Kirishima,” sighed Aizawa, already knowing the red head was up to something judging from the look on Kaminari’s face.

Kirishima sucked in a breath before asking the question that plagued class 1-A’s minds. “Who is the green haired boy that always talks to you?”

Aizawa raised a brow, seeming rather indifferent to the question. “That’s Midoriya, Nezu’s student.”

The entire class erupted into chaos. They were the first people to know the identity of the secret student. Bakugo remained still in his seat, fuming at the reminder that Midoriya got into some special program of UA. Despite his irritation, he reminded himself Midoriya still didn’t make it into the hero course.

It was Wednesday and class 1-A was heading to the field for their two-hour gym session. Everything was progressing as normal until Aizawa waved to someone from behind the group.

Midoriya rushed past in a gym uniform wearing a bright smile. One by one, jaws dropped and eyes widened. No one could believe Midoriya was joining them for class.

“Everyone meet Midoriya. Today he will be joining us per Nezu’s request. He will 1v1 each of you for five minutes to analyze your quirk. This is a serious assignment for him compared to what it if for you all so do not mess around.”

As the sparring began, Midoriya made it clear he meant business. Everyone watched as his eyes concentrated on everything his opponent did and how they utilized their quirk. A common theme became clear. He’d grasp an understanding of the quirk and then use said quirk against its user.

In the end, he’d force his enemy to fight without their quirk which led to quick victory. Midoriya struggled with Tokoyami, Bakugo, and Todoroki. The quirks were overpowering, and only extensive use would lead to his ability to win. Still, Tokoyami was weakened by the sunlight. The blast and smoke residue from Bakugo’s explosions created blind spots that could be taken advantage of. Todoroki only used his ice side so Midoriya could take advantage of the unused left side.

By the time Midoriya went through everyone in the class, he was exhausted but pleased. He made his way over to Aizawa and pulled out his notebook.

“I got everything I need. You can resume normal training,” informed Midoriya bluntly, waving his pen at the group before him.

Aizawa grinned, peaking at the notes. “Send me your analysis whenever you finish. I can use your notes for future training ideas.”

“I can do that. I’ll put an emphasis on weaknesses then for you,” chuckled Midoriya, scribbling down on the page as he talked.

Midoriya sat on the ground, writing for the remaining thirty minutes as the class ran laps on the tracks. It was a rather peaceful moment for Midoriya.

While he’d never regret accepting Nezu’s offer, he wondered what all he missed out on by not following the typical hero route. Nonetheless, he was content. The class ended and he returned to Nezu to finish his analysis.

If class 1-A hadn’t already been hooked on Midoriya, they were now. Not only was he super smart, but he was incredibly powerful despite never displaying his quirk. Never once did he make a big show about winning or overpowering everyone. He was humble.

It became a mission for the class to catch Midoriya when he was alone. After spending an additional week trying to track him down, Momo had gotten an inside scoop that he frequented the rooftop to eat on Fridays.

When Friday rolled around, a small group was to greet him on the roof. Everyone knew it would be dumb to overwhelm him and risk missing their shot.

Uraraka, Kirishima, and oddly Todoroki were selected to go. Uraraka and Kirishima were selected to go because of their friendly and calm nature. Apparently, Todoroki had a fascination with Midoriya after their fight. No one knew they had been talking to one another during those five minutes, but it was enough for Midoriya to change Todoroki’s life.

When they spotted Midoriya on the roof he seemed to be doing an assignment. His back was facing them to avoid the sun messing up his laptop screen.

As they approached, they realized he was talking to himself. To be honest, it was not talking, but rather mumbling.

As they got closer to peek at the screen like a bunch of stalkers, they saw he was watching a video about categorizing quirks by eye color.

Right as Kirishima went to greet Midoriya, the boy spoke a bit louder than before. It was clear Midoriya was exasperated when he remarked, “Pink must mean… teleportation. And not that someone farted in both their eyes.”

Uraraka couldn’t hold back her laughter despite doing her best to quickly cover her mouth. It seemed that Kirishima was on the same page as he stepped back to laugh as well, grabbing his stomach.

Meanwhile Todoroki was standing there with a blank face. He thought Midoriya was being serious in his analysis, so he thought nothing of the comment.

Yelping at the sudden laughter coming from directly behind him, Midoriya whipped his head around. Initially Midoriya had been scared he was going to be bullied, but quickly relaxed upon seeing the familiar faces.

“Bro has anyone ever told you that you are super funny?” sighed Kirishima, trying to catch his breath.

Uraraka was wiping her tears from laughing so hard. Still, she managed to suck in enough air to agree. “Yeah, that little comment you made was hilarious.”

With his face blooming a bright red, Midoriya waved his hands violently. “No! That’s so crude of me! Please ignore that!”

Kirishima went to sit with Midoriya, flashing a charming smile. “Nah man, that was amazing!”

Todoroki smiled, sitting down as well. “Hello Midoriya.”

Turning to look at Todoroki, Midoriya flashed a soft smile. “Hi Todoroki.”

Uraraka looked back and forth between Midoriya and Todoroki before smirking. There wasn’t much there currently, but she felt a romance blooming.

“Oh, are you two close?” questioned Uraraka knowingly. It was clear Todoroki knew something more than them when it came to Midoriya.

Midoriya shook his head. “No, I’ve only talked to him the day I joined your class for training.”

Never once taking his eyes off Midoriya, Todoroki narrowed his eyes. “Why aren’t you in the hero course with us?”

Kirishima gawked at Todoroki’s audacity. He knew Todoroki was rather blunt, but this was a new level.

“I applied for the hero course! Uraraka was in the same group as me,” chuckled Midoriya, closing his laptop.

“Yeah, you saved me from the giant zero-pointer,” gasped Uraraka, bowing her head. “Thank you again for that. I wouldn’t be here right now if it hadn’t been for you!”

“Nonsense! You proved that you are a hero by earning all of those points! Either way, I know it may be confusing why I’m not in the hero course,” chuckled Midoriya awkwardly.

Flashing a charming smile, Kirishima pressed a bit. “So, what’s your story?”

“I accidentally met Aizawa in middle school. I managed to impress him, and he recommended me to Nezu. I passed Nezu’s test and accepted his offer to be his student,” revealed Midoriya swiftly, not one to enjoy talking about his achievements in front of others.

Todoroki looked into Midoriya’s eyes, laying it on thick as he announced, “You are truly amazing. I think my dad’s homophobic so dating you would be perfect.”

While Midoriya looked a mix of flattered and mortified, Uraraka and Kirishima fell into another fit of laughter.

Their conversation moved fast and didn’t make a lot of sense, but it felt right, nonetheless.

Despite the different path Midoriya took, it seems that he was still a part of the normal hero course. He made friends with the class, and even found a potential love interest.

Who would’ve thought showing off analysis and joking about pink eye would’ve been the two leading causes of his wonderful life.

Do Not Engage

There was never a dull moment with class 2A. Sure, sometimes a normal day would be nice, but realistically all the teens were used to it. With everything that happened in their first year of UA and the first couple of months of their second year, most days were eventful in a non-life-threatening way.

There was a giant shift in the class dynamic. Sure, everyone was close, but the bond was incredibly close. It was safe to say class 2A turned into one giant family.

There were also new developments. For instance, romantic relationships bloomed. Kirishima and Mina were the first to announce their relationship. After seeing how fast their life can come to an end, they didn’t want to waste another moment worrying about being rejected or ruining a friendship.

Kaminari and Jiro followed shortly after. Kaminari had a revelation during the first war that the mere thought of Jiro brought him strength. They had been tip-toeing around their feelings, too wrapped up in the chaos surrounding them to address their feelings for one another.

The most anticipated relationship was between Bakugo and Midoriya. They went through hell together, both dying during the war. Only with a miracle did they both get successfully resuscitated and recover fully. Bakugo’s heart exploded and Deku suffocated from Gearshift. Both of their hearts completely stopped. Midoriya saw Bakugo’s dead body after being dragged away. Bakugo watched as Midoriya dropped dead when the fight was over.

The duo was in recovery for months, their bodies struggling to recover from overexerting their quirks to the point of death. Similar to the others, they soon realized that with the time they had left, they wanted to spend it together. They lived in a world where the other no longer existed, no matter how long or short they were dead. They never wanted to live in a world where the other didn’t exist.

The relationship was kept between the class and the teachers. No one else in the entire world knew. They were able to love one another in the privacy of the school.

Outside of UA, the entire class was celebrities for their part in the war. Society fell apart and was built back up again. Midoriya and Bakugo were recognized as the wonder duo. Deku Midoriya and Kacchan Bakugo. Hero Deku and Hero Dynamight.

Unfortunately, some adults should never be around kids, but they were. It was an average interview, but of course, things didn’t go to plan. The wonder duo was at another interview to discuss their lives and the aftermath of the war. Reporters were notorious for either being amazing or horrible. Unfortunately, the one the duo was dealing with was a bad one.

The girl was very clearly flirting with Midoriya and at one point tried feeling his abs underneath his hero suit. Midoriya froze, feeling beyond violated. Bakugo was fuming, not only pissed but jealous that some woman was touching Midoriya. One glance at Bakugo’s face was all it took for Midoriya to have the strength to defend himself on live television.

Slapping the woman's hand away while shoving her away, Midoriya spat, “Touch me again and I’ll put you through the fucking floor.”

Bakugo grabbed Midoriya by the forearm and pulled him away. “We are leaving nerd. This pervert isn’t to be trusted to keep her hands to herself.”

“Wait, please don’t go!” begged the woman, rushing over.

Midoriya turned his attention to her and did his best to not have a visible reaction. “Why would I stay?”

“I didn’t expect you to get upset. Let’s restart!” insisted the woman, bowing her head.

“As if hag,” scoffed Bakugo, pulling Midoriya impossible closer. “You haven’t even bothered to try and apologize and you’re blaming Deku for being uncomfortable when you are the one who tried to touch him like a freak.”

“You’re weird and I’d rather not answer any questions you have for me. Let’s go Kacchan,” agreed Midoriya, finally sending a glare to the entire crew.

As the adult was begging for them to say, the duo was rushing out of the room. They’d rather relax at the dorms than worry about the stupid interview. Bakugo pulled Midoriya close and bit his cheek as soon as they were on campus.

Midoriya yelped, but let Bakugo hold him close. “Kacchan?”

“That was hot as fuck Izuku,” complimented Bakugo, happy to watch Midoriya tell someone off.

Midoriya grinned, sinking his face into Bakugo’s chest, breathing in the familiar scent of caramel mixed with the faint smell of his cologne. “Only for Kacchan.”

Bakugo barked a laugh, fondly smacking the back of Midoriya’s head. “Hey! Save it for later.”

“Okay.” Midoriya bashfully grinned, releasing Bakugo. Suddenly recalling something, Midoriya cheered, “Let’s have Katsudon!”

Bakugo rolled his eyes but wasn’t going to argue. Midoriya surprised him with super spicy mapo tofu earlier that week. Midoriya even paid a visit to Fuyumi Todoroki to make it perfect. Their love language was every kind of love language. Acts of service, physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, and receiving gifts.

When they entered the dorms, Aizawa was already waiting for them as the rest of their classmates were gathered in the common room. The duo were happily holding hands, excited about lunch. The sight of Aizawa waiting for them initially scared them, but soon relaxed remembering the interview happened.

“Are you okay Midoriya?” questioned Aizawa, hearing about what happened on the news.

“Yeah, I’m okay,” sighed Midoriya, letting go of Bakugo’s hand to get closer to Aizawa. “Just a bit shaken up.”

Aizawa nodded, fist-bumping Midoriya’s chest. “Don’t worry kid. I already have Nezu working with the company about what occurred. We are making sure that woman never has a job dealing with minors ever again.”

Bakugo grinned, stepping forward. “Good. Extra needs to learn her place. If Midoriya hadn’t done something I would’ve blasted her ass to space.”

Midoriya grinned, never feeling safer as Aizawa and Bakugo talked about the ways they wanted to keep him safe. Aizawa ended up following class 1A throughout the years with Nezu’s permission. Sure, Aizawa was the best at raising young heroes, but he needed his kids and his kids needed him.

Aizawa simply nodded at what Bakugo said and turned his attention back to Midoriya. “As long as you're okay kid. I’m proud of you for setting your boundaries.”

Midoriya grinned, feeling a secure hand on his waist. “Thank you. I was happy to make it clear I don’t tolerate unsolicited touch.”

Bakugo guided Midoriya to the kitchen attached to the common room only to hear the crowd rushing over. Uraraka practically tackled Midoriya as she screamed, “I’m so proud of you!”

Kaminari laughed, his arm hanging around Jiro’s shoulder. “Yeah, that was really fun to watch.”

Jiro grinned, nodding at the duo. “Watching Bakugo get all huffy and overprotective was hilarious.”

“I thought it was rather adorable. Besides, we were all freaking out when she touched Midoriya,” chuckled Momo with a nod and a fond smile on her face as she looked at an irritated Bakugo.

Todoroki held up his phone, pointing to where Aizawa was napping. “I told Aizawa about what happened so he could get the lady in trouble.”

Midoriya couldn’t help but laugh from where he and Uraraka were lying on the ground. “You guys are crazy.”

“Nah bro, what that lady did was unacceptable. We were all excited to watch the interview, but we were more excited to see you two put her in her place,” complimented Kirishima as he shook his head, walking over to where the group was starting to congregate.

“Honestly, what a nightmare,” sighed Mina, disgusted that a grown adult thought it was okay to touch a teenager like that on live television.

Midoriya nodded, allowing Bakugo to pull him up onto his feet. “Sure I was irritated, but honestly I wouldn’t have stood up for myself if it wasn’t for the fact I’m madly in love with Kacchan.”

Bakugo elbowed Midoriya, eyes narrowed despite the way his face was flushed a beautiful red. “You better be! I’m the best.”

“Kacchan is the best,” declared Midoriya, wearing a happy smile. “I’ll happily destroy anyone who tries to pull us apart.”

“Okay, calm down Freckles,” grumbled Bakugo, still flushed. He couldn’t deny that he liked it when Midoriya was all possessive. After a moment of silence, he mumbled, “Love you Izuku.”

Midoriya turned his body to crush Bakugo in a hug. “I love you too Kacchan!”

Class 2A was never going to let Bakugo hear the end of it.

Ready To Quit

Becoming a teacher was not on Midoriya’s list of to do’s when he was a child. The only thing running through his mind was becoming a pro hero. After losing his quirk and feeling the remaining embers slip away, he did everything in his power to avoid acknowledging how devastated he truly was.

So, when Aizawa made the proposal to work at UA High, Midoriya was surprised that he didn’t have to try as hard to be okay with the new career path.

After spending his entire childhood bullied by his teachers for being quirkless, Midoriya knew he wanted to be the saving grace for many young and impressionable teens. He sure as hell needed Toshinori and Aizawa to get him through his first year at UA.

As graduation quickly arrived and passed, Midoriya was already preparing for the next chapter of his life. Every single college Midoriya applied to, he received an acceptance letter. Surprised they still accepted him despite his quirkless status, he took it as a sign and was ready to succeed. Considering his classmates were going to be busy with being sidekicks and interns for a while, Midoriya needed distractions.

Excelling in school was an obsession Midoriya had no problem falling back into. Before meeting All Might, focusing on school was a good distraction from his fate as a quirkless person. Now because that fate is a reality, why not go back to old habits?

School was officially his life; he had no issue embracing it. He decided to major in education and hero studies. He minored in quirk biology and psychology.

Despite his friends being busy, Aizawa and Toshinori were two people Midoriya stayed in touch with happily. They often would meet for lunch and small catchups. Midoriya and Toshinori already had an unbreakable bond, but the one he formed with Aizawa was unexpected but welcomed.

There were days when Midoriya knew it would be more harm than good to stay cooped up in his room and would ask Aizawa if he could come over. Eri was older so she’d often stay nearby Midoriya doing whatever she wanted. Midoriya would bring over coffees and a small dessert for Eri.

Bakugo and Midoriya stayed in close contact as well. Unfortunately, their conversations were scarce because Bakugo was working himself to the bone. No matter how much Midoriya expressed his worries, Bakugo dismissed the concern and continued the way he was going.

Ignoring Bakugo, Midoriya would often make him bentos and leave it in the blonde’s mailbox because that was the one place Bakugo checked religiously for some odd reason. He’d get five messages back-to-back, each written in all caps. Midoriya would smile warmly at his phone before stepping into his first class of the day.

That process repeated his entire four years in college. As time passed, his classmates reached out a bit more. They were getting comfortable in their schedules, and many were finally out of the early hero stage and working as a respectable pro hero in their desired agencies.

Sure, a part of him was bitter at the extreme loss of contact. Bakugo was far busier than most of his classmates and still found the time to text or send a message or picture. In the end, Midoriya wasn’t too hung up on it and the loss of a familial bond wasn’t as painful after making some new friends in college.

As he began his teaching career, he knew this was where he was meant to be. Sure, becoming a hero and saving people to defeat the villain was ideal, but he was training a ton of people to do that every day. It was a wonderful feeling.

Aizawa was always up his ass, telling him to be harsher on the students to weed out those who will take advantage of Midoriya’s kindness. Stupidity wasn’t a good enough reason for Midoriya to expel someone. His punishments often came later when their training rolled around.

Those who crossed him usually feared doing so again.

Midoriya also sent a lot of the students to Hound Dog. Students held emotional and mental baggage that Midoriya could help with, but sometimes big interventions were needed. Hound Dog had reached out to Midoriya on numerous occasions wanting to know how the students were doing. They built a pretty good bond as coworkers for the greater good of the students.

Raising the next generation of heroes was intimidating, but highly rewarding. It was a big responsibility, and these students needed to know how to cope with their own problems on top of the ethical and moral troubles they would be forced to acknowledge in their journey.

Occasionally, he’d have class sessions dedicated to students asking him questions about his short time as a hero. He talked a lot about those he saved, the villains he’d met and changed, and how he dealt with the realization that their hero-based society wasn’t black and white.

Villains and heroes came in shades of grey. The students enjoyed those days when they got to hear about their young teachers' experience as a hero. It was also nice to know their teacher understood exactly what they were going through. Despite the hell Midoriya and his class had gone through, Midoriya made it clear no problem they faced was any less worthy of praise or worry.

Each teacher's way of educating was different as UA gave them free reign of how classes were taught. In the end, the second-year teachers were impressed with the progress of their new students made. Aizawa’s teaching method worked just as much as Midoriya’s teaching method worked.

When Midoriya was given a list of his next group of students, the excitement was just as high as it was his first time around. If anything, Midoriya felt more confident in his teaching abilities.

After he had a reunion with the rest of his classmates, the reveal of his hero suit, and the offer to join Bakugo’s agency, class 1-A was back and better than ever. Yet Midoriya was left trying to incorporate hero work into his busy teaching schedule. Aizawa even offered tips on how to get things done which was appreciated.

Just as the group was coming back to Midoriya, Midoriya had to withdraw. He appreciated everything they did to get him the hero suit, but now that hero patrols were inserted into his schedule, nearly all his free time was ripped from his hands and thrown in the trash.

The roles switched and Bakugo was now leaving bento boxes in the fridge of the teacher’s lounge. Even worse, Bakugo kept showing up to Midoriya’s class. Many days Midoriya would kick him out, on others Midoriya would drag the blond into the lesson.

One calm day of classes, Midoriya chatted with his class that if word got out that Bakugo was helping students at UA, his hero rating may improve. The students plotted ever since to leak of video of him helping out.

It was a peaceful day and Midoriya wanted to give them a bit of a boost from the hellish training he’d given them the day before. He gave them twenty minutes to write a poem about their time at UA. Then they’d present their poems and if time was left over, they could ask him questions.

Halfway through presentations, a large group from class 1-A decided to come over for a surprise visit since it was one of the rare times they were off on the same day. Many were eager to see Midoriya in his element, unaware that today was supposed to be a recovery day for the students.

Loud cheering came out of nowhere, causing Uraraka and Tsuyu to jump. Kaminari and Kirishima paused where they were and shared a confused look. Bakugo was unimpressed and far from surprised. Todoroki on the other hand was already reaching for the door, but his hand was quickly stopped by Mina and Sero.

“Wait a second, let’s crack the door first to see if we are interrupting something important,” whispered Sero, scooching to the entrance of the door.

Many of the heroes huddled around as Mina slowly pulled open the door. No one in the classroom seemed to have been paying attention because the cheering continued.

Midoriya was standing front and center in a nice suit with his hair pinned back in All Might themed hair clips. He was clasping his hands together with his eyes closed. “Ubukata… do not make me regret this.”

The class erupted into laughter again. Everyone standing by the door looked at Midoriya, growing more confused and entertained by what could be happening. Nonetheless, it was clear the class adored Midoriya with the way every teen was eagerly waiting for something to happen.

“I’m on a whole ‘nother level. Girl he only fucked you over cause you let him,” read Ubukata with way too much confidence.

The room remained eerily silent, Midoriya staring long and hard at the class clown. Everyone in that room was adorable and beyond charming even if some were more antisocial or aggressive than others.

“What… the hell… are you talking about right now? Maybe I should quit,” responded Midoriya slowly, beginning to scare those in the classroom. No one dared to say a word and Ubukata looked about ready to pass out or puke. Suddenly Midoriya rolled his eyes. “If you were going to just use song lyrics as your poem you could have just made it longer to win the prize.”

“No!” shouted Ubukata in defeat, falling to his knees.

All tension in the room vanished as small conversations picked up again. Midoriya looked at his list, smiling at what he saw. “On a more serious note, remember that you all are here to become heroes. If you have any criticism of how I teach my class or have any concerns about your place here, let me know. I’m sure many of you are excluding a lot of important opinions because these are being presented in front of your friends. Now, who wants to go next?”

Mina slowly closed the door again, her dropped jaw motionless as she turned around to see she wasn’t the only one completely flabbergasted at what she’d just seen.

The group shuffled down the hall a bit before Kaminari broke the silence with a whine. “Why couldn't Midoriya be our teacher?”

Smiling softly at the closed door, Todoroki sighed, “I’m just happy to see he wasn’t lying when he told us he enjoys working here as a teacher.”

Nodding slowly, coming out of his shocked daze, Kirishima agreed, “For sure. Those kids are obsessed with him! Even Kota looked mortified when Midoriya said he should quit.”

Uraraka let out some stiffled laughter, shaking her head to herself. “I’m more shocked he’s openly cursing and joking around with them. You’d think he’d want to establish authority with his class to set a good example.”

“I don’t see the harm in it. Our time at UA High wasn’t cupcakes and rainbows. I’m sure that hasn’t changed,” disagreed Bakugo, not appreciating how Uraraka was poking fun at Midoriya’s teaching style even if it wasn’t that serious.

Tsuyu, reading the room with ease, diffused Bakugo’s anger and critiqued Uraraka’s attitude. “It’s nice to see Midoriya while he’s teaching. We have no context of what is going on in that room currently or why Midoriya decided to have this activity. I’m sure he’s a great teacher and he’s passionate about his job and the students.”

Mina picked up on what Tsuyu was trying to do. “For sure! It’s always nice to have a break from the hustle and bustle of life.”

“Never say that again,” remarked Sero, wearing a wide grin.

“Whatever,” huffed Mina, looking away towards the door.

Bakugo, reflected on his recent conversations with Midoriya. “I know Izuku planned a quirk exertion test for the brats so he’s probably giving them a day to recover.”

Appreciating some context, Kirishima shivered dramatically. “Quirk exertion test with Midoriya as the teacher. I’m surprised any of them are still alive.”

Feeling a bit sheepish about her poor attempt of conversating, Uraraka pitched in, “Maybe having him as the teacher is for the best. He is great at analyzing quirks and their drawbacks. Out of all the teachers in the school a test like that would be executed safest by Deku.”

As they all rambled about what they’d seen, Midoriya being a teacher, and how Ubukata scarily reminds them of Kaminari, the bell rang. They all perked up, ready to show themselves to Midoriya. Bakugo took the lead, throwing open the door while the students were still packing up.

“Kacchan,” greeted Midoriya with a softness in his voice that the students weren’t surprised by.

Many greeted Bakugo with a knowing smile or disgusted look before heading out to leave. Only the group stopped when seven other pro heroes walked in like it was nothing. As the group of students started to squeal and gawk at the group, Midoriya seemed unphased despite their presence being a complete surprise.

“Hey guys, what brings you here?” asked Midoriya calmly, walking over to stand next to Bakugo.

“Wanted to visit you man! We all had a random day off and decided to come together,” admitted Kirishima with an energy Midoriya knew he’d always enjoy.

“Freeze,” announced Midoriya loudly, pulling out his phone, sending a quick text, and returning his focus back on the group. “I need to go for five minutes. Since you didn’t give me a heads up, my students can stay back and ask you questions. I’ll be quick, promise!”

Midoriya left the room, leaving the pro heroes stranded with the students of their close friend. All seemed well, the group moved to the front of the room as the students put their bags down to get their questions in.

Hands flew into the air. Mina took the honor of picking the first student to ask a question. After a quick whisper was exchanged with Bakugo, she pointed and called out. “Terumoto!”

The boy whose face was covered in scars was surprised he was called on. Lowering his hand, he knew exactly what he wanted to ask. “I swear we are all being lied to so… is Dynamight and Midoriya sensei dating?”

“Are they what?” screeched the group of pro heroes. Bakugo looked more annoyed than anything else.

Meanwhile, Midoriya was snickering as he lit his cigarette on the roof of the building. “Suckers.”

On Your Shoulders

Sometimes luck never seemed to be on Izuku Midoriya’s side.

When Midoriya was a young teen, he was the victim of a hit-and-run. He had been walking on the sidewalk, minding his business, ready to return home after a long day at school when he was struck by a car. The car kept driving, but fortunately, a nearby security camera caught the entire thing on tape.

When he was admitted into the hospital he was rushed to the OR for immediate surgery. His spleen had torn so badly that it had to be removed.

While in recovery from his surgery, hospital staff quickly realized Izuku’s legs were paralyzed and assessed the damage. The prognosis was dire. Midoriya was likely never to walk again.

What made the entire situation even worse was that when Midoriya returned to school, the people he thought were his friends had outcasted him. People he had never even met before started teasing him and calling him all types of derogatory names. All because he had been the victim of a crime and was now disabled.

Katsuki Bakugo, one of Midoriya’s childhood friends, decided to throw away over a decade of friendship. The friendly “Midoriya” he always confidently called out was replaced with a disgusted “Deku”.

Doing his best to ignore the betrayal of everyone at his school, Midoriya decided he would take control of his life. Soon all his free time was spent at the rehab facility as he fought against his body to walk again. While the chances were slim, he wanted to fight against the odds.

By the time Midoriya’s middle school graduation ceremony came around, he had made incredible progress. While he still needed to utilize arm canes because his legs would still occasionally buckle, he was able to walk down the aisle to obtain his awards.

No one in the school knew Midoriya had been training to gain motor function in his legs again. So, when Midoriya magically rose from his wheelchair, grabbed his arm canes, and made his way up to the principal to receive an award, the entire school went crazy. Many were amazed and couldn’t deny they were impressed.

Bakugo on the other hand was pissed. Midoriya made a fool out of him, and he’d never forgive him for that. Unfortunately for Bakugo, Midoriya didn’t apply for the same school as him.

Whatever childish grudge Katsuki had; he couldn’t make Midoriya any more miserable than he already was. For the first time since they were babies, Midoriya wasn’t a part of Bakugo’s life.

Against all odds, fate brought Bakugo and Midoriya back together. Despite being separated by an hour-long drive, attending separate universities, and having a close to zero chance of running into each other, there was one thing that could overcome all the barriers. That was school sports.

Somehow, they both took an interest in competitive weightlifting. One moment, Bakugo is basking in the glory of his great performance, and then he’s met with the sight of Midoriya lifting the same weight with ease. Despite the wave of emotions that crashed on Bakugo, he and Midoriya seemed to agree to keep their distance.

All it took was one competition for Katsuki’s teammates to be fond of Midoriya and his teammates. Technically speaking, each student was responsible for themselves, so the pressure of competition was evenly distributed. The lack of school vs. school made it a much more welcoming environment.

It was hard not to like Midoriya once a person caught wind of his story of overcoming being paralyzed.

Midoriya was more than happy to become friends with everyone competing. They all shared a similar interest, so he didn't see the harm in becoming close with an opponent from another school. It was nice to no longer be held down by the past.

Now people could look at him as an idol rather than a waste of space. He overcame the challenges life threw at him and now he was standing on the same level as Todoroki Shoto, the son of pro-wrestler Endeavor and the boy who had the attention of everyone in the room.

The funniest thing was that Todoroki only had his eyes on Midoriya. That was the case for most of Midoriya's fellow team members. Uraraka, Iida, Momo, Aoyama, Tsuyu, Ojiro, and Shoji were all obsessed with Midoriya and everything he did.

It took three competitions for it to become impossible to keep the distance.

"Kacchan."

"Deku."

With a greeting only containing their childish nicknames, whatever awkward tension had been building between them disappeared. They both decided to leave the past in the past and share a rivalry that wasn't anything serious. It was a freeing experience for both Bakugo and Midoriya.

The end of their first year was approaching and the competitions were getting increasingly serious. The biggest competition was hosted by UA, a giant corporation that produces weight-lifting gear and trains some of the best weightlifters to date.

The weightlifting competition was to determine qualifiers for the semi-finals. Unlike any other competition, this was going to be on live television instead of an online live stream. When the event came around, the building was filled with an exhilarating energy.

Usually, at competitions all the competitors were chatting amongst one another. This time teams were stuck close together so not a lot of mindless chatter was happening. Nonetheless, Bakugo’s team and Midoriya’s team stationed themselves side by side.

Safe to say, Izuku Midoriya was a beast. Looking at him around campus, anyone would believe he was just another lanky nerd. When summer came around and people got a look at his incredibly muscular legs, people grew interested in just how strong their peer was.

While Bakugo and Kirishima recognized that Midoriya was strong judging by his muscles, they didn't believe that he would be stronger than them.

Kirishima didn't want to seem judgmental, but Midoriya's muscles appeared significantly smaller than his and Bakugo’s. He also noticed Midoriya was wearing compression socks and sports tape around his knees signaling injuries.

Kirishima and everyone else sharing the same thoughts as him were proven wrong. Midoriya was still going strong after countless rounds passed with the weight steadily increasing. If anything, no one could tell if he was struggling or not. The weight appeared to move with his body, showing no resistance against gravity.

The next round arrived, and the weight was at a staggering 250 lbs./115 kgs. Nearly everyone had tapped out except for Midoriya, Bakugo, and a couple of upperclassmen. Kirishima had maxed out at 225lbs./102 kgs.

As Midoriya listened to the buzzer ring, he lowered his calloused and scarred hands to the barbell with a grin. In a flash, he engaged his body to effortlessly raise the weight and then swooped his body into a squat as the weight was swung up and placed at the shoulders. With ease, Midoriya pushed up, finishing his squat without struggle.

Much to everyone's surprise, Midoriya rested the barbell on his chest and shoulders.

"What the hell is he doing?" hissed Bakugo, irritated at this dramatic display. For a moment he believed Midoriya was trying to get himself disqualified.

"Is he okay?" whispered Jiro in fear of Midoriya's wellbeing.

Their attention was grabbed by Uraraka who had loudly gasped and covered her mouth. Bakugo turned to Kirishima before looking back at Midoriya. "The fuck?"

"I don't know bro," answered Kirishima, concern laced in his tone.

Suddenly, Midoriya raised one hand to support the barbell while his other hand rose into the air to reveal a finger facing the wrong direction. Everyone in the room turned to watch Midoriya as news of a dislocated finger reached everyone in five seconds.

As the people at home and the crowd in the room watched Midoriya try and bend his finger, they also focused on his face. The most shocking part of the entire situation was that Midoriya's expression was calm and didn't signal discomfort.

Putting all the weight of the barbell on his upper body, Midoriya removed the hand that had been stabilizing the bar to grip his finger and snap it back into place.

“Holy shit,” croaked Bakugo with a disbelieving grin.

Todoroki stared at Midoriya in amazement as he breathed out a soft, “Woah.”

On the other hand, Uraraka sported a wrinkled nose, curled upper lip, and squinted eyes as she stared. “What the fuck?”

Kirishima stared with a dropped jaw and mortified eyes. Mina rested a hand under Kirishima’s dropped jaw before closing his mouth. Her mouth was also hanging wide up. Kaminari closed Mina’s mouth with his mouth also hanging wide open. Jiro shook her head at the entire situation and turned to leave the area.

Some people in the room let out yelps of shock, disgust, and amazement. Still, despite the small noises, the room was completely silent.

Bakugo stared up at Midoriya, choosing to ignore the pounding in his chest and the sweatiness of his palms. All he could do was stare at Midoriya and watch as he finished his jerk after dislocating and relocating his finger from his clean.

After returning both hands to the barbell and fixing their positioning, the weight was back onto his hands and arms. Not needing a moment to catch his breath or brace himself for the jerk, Midoriya thrusted the barbell over his head and locked his arms tightly.

After another buzzer rang out, Midoriya let the barbell crash to the ground with a loud bang. At that moment, the entire building erupted with screams and cheers. That was the most badass thing the weightlifting community has experienced in a long time.

Despite how intense the moment was and how Midoriya should've been also celebrating such an epic moment, he did the opposite. Midoriya turned to the cameras, offered a sweet smile with a gentle wave, and walked over to where some medics were waiting.

Midoriya had dislocated his finger, and it was rather painful. His teammates raced after him, clearly not letting him run away from their praise. Meanwhile, Bakugo watched him leave with a gaze that worried Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina, and Sero.

The rest of the competition flew by. Somehow Midoriya getting injured and still performing like a pro boosted every competitor’s morale. People were lifting weights they had never dreamed of lifting before, and they were trucking it along.

There was a thirty-minute waiting period for scores and rewards. During that time, countless reporters tried to find Midoriya to interview him about the finger incident.

Soon reporters weren’t the only ones looking for Midoriya. His teammates couldn’t find him, nor could Bakugo’s teammates. They all wanted to ask him questions and make sure he was okay.

Behind the building in-between rose bushes, Bakugo and Midoriya hid away from the world. They both knew their rank and were less than worried about making it back on time. It wouldn’t be the first time they got a lecture from their coaches.

“That was sick as fuck Deku,” admitted Bakugo, looking at Midoriya’s splinted finger.

Midoriya looked up at Bakugo with a giddy smile. “Thank you Kacchan. I was worried they were going to disqualify me.”

Bakugo’s large hands grasped Midoriya’s wrist and tugged it close. “Did it really not hurt?”

It was quiet for a moment before Midoriya turned his body towards Bakugo. “I thought you knew this, but I experienced nerve damage all through my body. While my legs were paralyzed and I had to work to gain motor function back, my hands never lost function, but I lost a lot of feeling in them.”

“Is that why you’re avoiding those idiots inside?” questioned Bakugo with a smirk.

“What?” squeaked Midoriya, putting all his body weight onto the wall of the building.

“Yeah, there were a shit ton of reporters looking for you in there?” confirmed Bakugo, following Midoriya’s lead and resting.

Midoriya shook his head with a grin. “I had no idea. But now that you mention it, I have no desire to go in. I don’t want to explain my entire life story to them.”

It wasn’t hard to understand why Midoriya wouldn’t want to answer questions. His answer couldn’t be simplified to a simple I just like snapping my fingers back into place.

“All of the people would probably ask you the same boring question anyways,” sighed Bakugo, looking up at the setting sun.

A comfortable weight was placed on Bakugo’s shoulder. The soft fluffy hair touching his neck told him everything he needed to know. Without saying a word, Bakugo placed a hand on Midoriya’s propped-up knee.

After letting the comfort of Midoriya’s touch fester inside him, Bakugo decided to say what was on his mind.

“Sorry for being an asshole,” grumbled Bakugo, looking away.

“Glad to know you realize you were an asshole. Let me nap for five minutes and consider yourself forgiven,” yawned Midoriya as he relaxed further.

Bakugo didn’t bother responding, but he did have to smack Midoriya three minutes into the peaceful nap. “Stop touching my pecs.”

“Shut up Kacchan,” hissed Midoriya with a childish grin.

The flash of a phone caught the duo’s attention, and they looked up fearfully only to be met with Todoroki holding up a phone. “About time. I’ve been waiting two months to get my money.”

Midoriya gawked at his best friend while Bakugo was already on his feet, ready to battle.

“I’m going to kill you Half-and-half bastard!”

I Can Pull Off Anything

It was a stupid dare, but Midoriya wasn’t one to back down.

On an average Saturday, Midoriya and a couple of his close friends decided to hang out. Iida, Todoroki, Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Midoriya all made the group decision to have a nice picnic.

After preparing a bunch of snacks, grabbing drinks, and finding a nice but old blanket to use, the group headed outside. There was a giant field behind 1-A alliance where they set up their picnic.

They played card games, chatted about their classmates, and enjoyed all the snacks each person contributed. It was a beautiful day and despite the peaceful atmosphere, somehow truth or dare started.

After a couple rounds of silly/random questions and harmless dares, an interesting exchange occurred.

Uraraka smiled as she turned her entire body to Midoriya. “Deku! Truth or dare?”

“Dare!” shouted Midoriya excitedly, finding it exciting to finally play the game after spending countless years dreaming of having the friends to.

“I dare you… to wear a skirt our next time visiting the mall!” fired Uraraka eagerly after coming up with a dare.

Tsuyu perked up with a wide smile. “Good one Uraraka!”

“That’s highly inappropriate, Uraraka,” declared Iida loudly. Yet his face showed extreme amusement rather than any sternness to back up his criticism.

Todoroki looked Midoriya up and down before giving a thumbs up. “I’d like to see Midoriya in a skirt.”

Midoriya fell onto his back, covering his face in horror. “I can’t possibly do that! I’m going to be in the public eye! What if someone posts a picture or I get harassed!”

“Don’t whine, you big baby. You’ll be with us the entire time so no one’s going to harass you. Besides, when has someone ever recognized us when we go to the mall?” questioned Uraraka as she thinned her lips.

Tsuyu was still quietly laughing at Midoriya's reaction. “It doesn’t matter. The dare has been made and it doesn’t harm anyone.”

Midoriya threw his arms out to his sides as he cried to the sky. “I’m done with this game!”

“Yeah, we’ve been out here for hours now,” agreed Iida, looking up at the beautiful blue sky. “Besides, I promised to call my brother today.”

“Momo promised to cut my hair today so I should probably go and track her down,” huffed Uraraka, leaning back as she tightly gripped her knees.

Midoriya locked eyes with Todoroki before he smiled. “Want to go train?”

Todoroki returned the soft smile and nodded gently. “I’d like that.”

“I’m going to see if any of the girls want to go hit the onsen. I’m in desperate need of a spa day,” groaned Tsuyu as she rose to her feet and stretched her back.

Uraraka perked up with an excited smile. “Wait until Momo finishes my hair, and I’ll join you! I could definitely spend hours relaxing.”

Midoriya chuckled, cracking his knuckles before turning to Uraraka and Tsuyu. “That’s not a bad idea. I may take a trip after training.”

Iida chopped his hand after fixing his glasses instinctively. “I’ll join you Midoriya! Today’s all about relaxation.”

“I’m going too,” announced Todoroki as he situated himself next to Midoriya.

The group quickly cleaned up, headed off to do what they needed, and hit up the onsen. All the girls grouped together to enjoy the hot spring the school offered. Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida met up as well and went to their respective onsen, letting the warm water soothe their sore muscles and wash away their stress.

Two weeks passed from that eventful hangout and Mina proposed the great idea of going shopping. It had been a while since UA had become a boarding school so many people had lists of things they needed and stuff they ran out of but hadn’t had time to get.

While going to the mall sounded wonderful to the majority of class 1-A, there was a small group who was enveloped in chaos. Midoriya looked mortified while Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Iida were all staring at him with a knowing smile. Todoroki didn’t recall the dare and seemed to be interested in spending a bunch of his father’s money.

Midoriya was dragged off by Uraraka to her room with Tsuyu right on the duo’s tails. As Midoriya was shoved onto Uraraka’s bed, the two ladies were digging through clothes only to find that there was nothing they specifically wanted Midoriya to wear.

Midoriya was still laying on the bed recovering from being dragged and tossed around as Tsuyu had pulled out her phone to make an important call.

“Tsuyu? What’s up?” inquired Momo softly from the other end of the call.

“I need your help finding a skirt that would look good on Midoriya,” answered Tsuyu bluntly, not bothering to give context upfront.

The group was met with silence. After fearing she scared off Momo, Tsuyu went to speak. Surprisingly, Momo beat Tsuyu to speak and perplexed, “Why do you need a skirt that Midoriya would look good in?”

Uraraka couldn’t hold back her laughter as she truthfully explained, “A couple weeks ago, we dared Midoriya to wear a skirt the next time we went to the mall. We were trying to find something for Midoriya to wear, but I have nothing that would work.”

“Oh, in that case I’ll be right over! I can just make something I think would complement Midoriya,” exclaimed Momo happily, more than willing to produce something specifically for Midoriya.

While Uraraka and Tsuyu were desperately thanking Momo for being willing to get involved in their problem, Midoriya was panicking. He couldn’t believe his friends were taking this seriously. He knew that clothes didn’t belong to one specific gender, but he wasn’t comfortable wearing a short skirt.

Midoriya struggled even wearing gym shorts out in public. On the rare occasions he did, it was in the warmer months for short trips or private workouts.

Despite Midoriya’s mind running a thousand miles a minute, Momo arrived at Uraraka's room and was quick to get Midoriya’s measurements. Uraraka and Tsuyu offered some design ideas, but Momo already knew what she wanted to make for Midoriya.

While Uraraka and Tsuyu cared about Midoriya, they were still his friends and wanted him to feel embarrassed. That was the point of the dare.

Momo wanted to assure Midoriya would be as comfortable as possible. She created a high-waisted skirt that flowed all the way down to rest right above his ankles. The skirt was flowy and in a light green color. The fabric was smooth, light, and silky. Still, she wanted to give Uraraka and Tsuyu their fun and added girly dark green flowers all over the bottom and gave the skirt a slit up to the knee on the left side.

The skirt was made in an instant and swiftly placed in Midoriya’s arms. Momo smiled softly as she instructed, “I’d wear that with a light yellow, almost cream-colored shirt!”

Midoriya shook his head with bright red cheeks. “I don’t own a shirt like that. I only own the stuff for my school uniform and graphic tees.”

Momo chuckled fondly at Midoriya before making him a light-yellow tee shirt. It wasn’t baggy like his usual shirts, but it wasn’t tight either. Nonetheless, Momo had worked her magic and made Midoriya a perfect outfit for the dare.

After quickly getting dressed once all the girls filed out of Uraraka’s room, Midoriya stared at himself in the mirror. He couldn’t deny that he did feel pretty. The longer he stared at himself, the more similarities he saw between him and his mother. It was nice.

Midoriya spun in a circle, watching as the dress twisted and flew with his sharp movements. He smoothed out the shirt and grinned at how well it complimented the skirt. The skirt covered enough of his body he was insecure about. Still, his leg muscles were curvy and were prominent against the silk fabric.

Midoriya quickly adjusted his black arm band over his large scar and smiled at the finished result. “Alright, you can come in.”

Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Momo quickly returned to the room only to loudly gasp at the sight before them. Crashing to her knees, Uraraka cried out. “Oh my god he’s beautiful!”

“You look really good Midoriya,” complimented Tsuyu calmly as she gently patted Uraraka’s head.

Momo smiled brightly, clapping her hands together. “It looks amazing on you just as I expected! I hope you like it a bit even if it is out of your comfort zone.”

Midoriya bowed aggressively before Momo. “I love it! Thank you so much for making this for me! You really didn’t have to, but you did anyway so I’m grateful!”

“Nonsense, its what friends do! Anyways, we should probably hurry up. I’m sure the others are already waiting for us,” reminded Momo, already halfway out the door.

Uraraka squeaked, throwing herself up. “You’re right! If you don’t mind, could you wait outside my room for a bit Deku?”

“I don’t mind at all!” reassured Midoriya as he followed out after Momo. Tsuyu was quick to follow Midoriya and headed off to her own room.

Standing in the hallway, Midoriya was left alone with his thoughts. Despite that large bit of his mind burning with embarrassment and dread of having to let his classmate see him in a skirt, there was a part of him that was scarily unbothered.

There had been many days where his scars bothered him more than they should have, but he was able to push past any insecurities he had. It seemed he felt the same way about the skirt.

Uraraka was ready in a matter of minutes and reunited with Midoriya in the hallway. Together they made their way down to the common room where everyone was gathering. All conversations quickly died as everyone's focus turned to Midoriya.

It was clear that everyone was expecting an explanation, but Midoriya got a last-minute idea to not address the elephant in the room. Instead of explaining he dared to wear a skirt, he made his way over to where Todoroki and Iida were with a smile.

“Hey guys!” greeted Midoriya happily.

Todoroki slowly blinked a couple of times before smiling. “Hello Midoriya. You look nice.”

Midoriya flashed Todoroki a bright smile, slipping his phone into one of the wonderful pockets Momo gifted him with. “Thank you! Are you ready to blow through some money?”

“Yes, I am. Do you have your list ready?” asked Todoroki quickly, flashing Enji’s credit card with an excitement that was rare to see on his usual stoic face.

“Of course I do, I have all the latest All Might merchandise in a neat list,” whooped Midoriya eagerly, doing his best to contain the true level of his excitement.

Iida fixed his glasses as he aggressively cleared his throat. “I have to admit, the skirt suits you well.”

Midoriya shot Iida with a strong thumb-up. “Thank you! Tsuyu called Momo for help.”

Kirishima, the first person brave enough to disrupt whatever staring contest the rest of the class was participating in, walked over to where the three were. “Woah Midoriya. Not that I'm complaining, but what’s with the skirt?”

“Oh, I was dared to wear one the next time I went to the mall by Uraraka,” revealed Midoriya bluntly, doing his best to not signal he was freaking out deep down.

Kirishima tried covering his red face, but Midoriya easily saw behind the facade. “You make me feel like a dude in the Victorian era seeing a woman’s ankle for the first time. It feels scandalous to see this.”

Midoriya’s face bloomed a beautiful shade of red at the oddly flattering and embarrassing comment. “Oh, uh… sorry?”

“I didn’t mean it like that! I mean I think you look really attractive in that!” shouted Kirishima, now being the one to capture the entire class's attention.

Kirishima and Midoriya were both crouching by the ground, covering their flushed faces. They were both ready to die of embarrassment. Midoriya peaked through his fingers to find Kirishima doing the exact same thing.

Having a single ounce of confidence to answer, Midoriya mumbled, “Thank you.”

Kaminari was more than happy to ruin the moment and shouted, “These bitches gay!”

“Glad to see you got the balls to confess Shitty Hair,” cackled Bakugo, thrilled to see the wonderful opportunity to embarrass Kirishima and Midoriya simultaneously.

It was safe to say that one single dare managed to create such a dramatic domino effect that Midoriya got a boyfriend. No one was complaining considering they got an entire day of Midoriya in a skirt and they were able to witness the bloom of a shocking relationship.

There was never a dull moment with class 1-A.

Bullshit

(minor Langst)

“It’s doesn’t matter.”

Lance maintained composure his face dimming with every word someone spoke to him. Darkness in his eyes eventually forced people to stop talking.

“Who gives a shit, God!”

Throwing his hands up Lance almost immediately shoved past his group into the wide crowd of aliens.

“God damn it Allura! You really pushed him over the edge,” Shiro said as a matter of factly.

“Oh, cause I’m the only one to blame idiot! You should start acting like the leader of Voltron and not a baby!”

Pidge glances to oncoming BOM and Keith, “Okay so Lance is nowhere to be found because of you imbeciles and Keith’s coming!”

Hunk sighed, “I’ll go and look for him...”

Lance was now running, he had no idea when he started but he was and he felt like screaming into the vast void in front of him. His head, light, and brain foggy he didn’t know how to feel. How to be Lance.

Rushing out into a giant open field of flowers, resembling blue daisy’s, his mother's favorite flower he felt the world spinning as if everything around him was not functioning. The wind started picking up, developing into a bunch of flower petals soaring through the entire kingdom.

Allura feeling bad decided she was to apologize and lead the entire team to follow Hunk. Yet upon reaching the door Hunk still stood there seemingly frozen at the scene unfolding before him.

Rushing out they all looked for Lance, soon Keith took the lead seemingly urgent and annoyed.

“What the hell is going on guys?”

Pidge crossed her arms, “Would you like me to explain for you, Princess?”

Allura turning with a strained smile, “If you must.”

Pidge smiled sarcastically speaking, “Oh it would be a pleasure,” immediately dropping the attitude she turned to Keith, “so team leader here and Allura have been on his ass all the time and it’s no help that I and Hunk haven’t come to his aid, so he finally snapped and walked away.”

Keith sighed, “I’m getting Lance.”

Lance was in the middle of the field and froze screaming, “Is there something wrong with me!”

Crashing to the soft grass underneath him everything fell, blue flower petals in his hair as he sat there all his freckles glowed.

He spotted Keith looking around frantically shouting out for him, “Lance?”

Lance up a single tear fell down, “Keith?”

Keith’s headshot in the direction of Lance, his gaze heavy like the lives of tons of heroes rested a hand on his shoulder. Lance smiled standing up, “Keith!”

The two sprinted to one another, the months of the two being apart, their friendship had only grown stronger into an unspoken of love. Lance took a running starting run to Keith throwing himself onto him. Slamming Keith to the ground he looked at him, tears streaming down his face as he smiled.

“I missed you, you fucking idiot!”

Keith cupped Lance’s cheek looking down at him a tear of his own starting to form before he leaned down and softly spoke the question already lingering between the lips of the two.

“Tell me to stop.”

Yet all Lance did was wrap his hands around Keith’s neck, a smile decorated on his perfect face, with perfect tears, and a perfect everything.

A tender kiss, one not too long but not too short, Keith pulling Lance up and into a hug they didn’t move.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t here for you-”

“Shut up you’re here now and that’s all that matters to me.”

Pidge and Hunk stood there and after a bit, they joined the hug that Lance and Keith rearranged for. Lance then turned to Allura and Shiro and dragged them into the hug.

“That’s better, exactly the way it should be.”

Keith smirked kissing Lance’s forehead, “Hah, that’s bullshit!”

My face fell, “Damn straight, we had a mission so let’s actually do our job.”

Putting on my helmet I generated my bayard, “Okay let’s see what weapon I’m given today.”

Not my surprise it waited for me to choose, I shrugged deciding to go with a smaller gun. The smaller the gun, the easier it is to attack and aim.

Typing up a message to Lotor as Pidge tried to track down the location of the Galra I smiled brightly under the shaded screen of my helmet.

Keith and I kissed -Lance

Oh, really? I’m so happy for you -Lotor

Thank you now all you have to do is confess to Allura -Lance

Pidge’s voice snapped me out of my activities and made me realize everyone was looking at me.

“What?” I slightly snapped at them. Not used to having them sincerely be interested in what I was doing.

They all looked away to Pidge as she spoke, “I found an underground base Galra are camping at. Probably holding valuable information.”

Nodding I made my way as the map was shared with everyone.

Clipping in my ear chip I decided to call Lotor.

“Hey, I thought you were on a mission.”

“I am just bored, what are you doing?”

“Ah, nothing crazy just organizing my papers and information. The chips crazy jam-packed.”

I hummed in response as he became venting about his skincare and conditioner. I walked around taking down enemies. Ducking beneath a stand I shot at two sentries.

“Okay, so it’s not just me who’s having horrible skin! Besides conditioner makes my hair oily.”

Taking down the last enemy before the castle entrance I smiled, “Sorry Lotor I’m about to meet with the king I’ll call you later.”

“Bye Lance better stay safe for me!”

Hanging up I slammed open the doors scoffing at the weakness the Galra presented before noticing something was off.

The fighting wasn’t over.

Feeling a weight in my hand, I subconsciously knew it was my Altean broad sword.

Brightly I smiled as my eyes lit up, Keith rushes in after me but all I did in response was shrug my shoulders, smirk, and scoff all in unison.

I’m a bold voice I called out. Slashing my sword out.

“This is bullshit.”

Grief

Izuku Midoriya was familiar with grief. Throughout his life, his precious heart loved too much. So when tragedy struck, the pain oftentimes felt unbearable. His generosity was taken advantage of far too many times. His compassion was abused. He lost people faster than he gained. Izuku Midoriya was very familiar with grief.

His father disappeared for a job across the world. Hisashi was too busy to send a text. He was too busy to say happy birthday. He was never there. All he was, was an idea. Only the thought of him existed to Izuku. The grief he felt from losing someone he never knew hurt the worst.

The people Izuku considered friends left him at the drop of a hat. No one stuck around. No one defended him. They changed faster than Izuku could comprehend. One second they played in the sand and in the next they were throwing sand at him. They were no longer people Izuku knew.

Izuku lost the one person he desired the most. Katsuki Bakugo became a star. Something so far away he’d never dream of being able to touch. Katsuki glowed and shined brilliantly. He was perfect in Izuku’s eyes. Izuku would chase Katsuki, refusing to give up. While the new version of his friend wasn’t tasteful, Izuku still knew how amazing Katsuki was deep down.

As Izuku grew up so did his list of losses. Quirkless people that he would meet on social media died. Once he got into U.A. he gained a lot of friends and strong adult figures, but just like in the past, people still left. His teachers died, many heroes died, villains died, and innocent civilians died. Midoriya at one point ran away, having to lose everyone he cared about to keep them safe. He watched the world crumble around him. Some of the people he held closest almost became memories.

Through all of it, Izuku persevered. He dealt with grief in many different ways. His method always changed and alternated depending on what and how.

Izuku was now in the middle of his third year at U.A. and couldn’t have been happier. His friends were alive, his teachers were alive, and villains were at an all-time low since the rise of quirks decades ago. Heroes were still needed by all means, but the League of Villains no longer existed and no war was about to break out.

Izuku had time to visit Eri and Kota more often as his workload was not nearly as big as it was in his first year attending U.A. The kids grew so much within two years. One day Aizawa informed Izuku he would need a babysitter for Eri. Izuku dropped everything to do so. Izuku took her out to the school’s garden, finding it a beautiful day to go outside.

Katsuki and Shoto got asked by Hatsume to go get Izuku quickly. She needed his opinion on some gear she was making for a first-year. They wanted recommendations and Hatsume knew asking the quirk analyst would help shorten down her list of ideas. The duo tracked him down to the garden with Eri after asking around.

Eri was currently weaving some flowers together, mimicking Izuku’s instructions. Izuku had asked about Aizawa and how she enjoyed living with him. Eri was more than happy to talk about her father, but suddenly she went quiet.

“Eri-chan? Is something wrong?” asked Izuku, worried that the chattering girl suddenly went silent.

Eri seemed to be contemplating something before looking up at Izuku. “Mister Deku, I have a question.”

“Go ahead,” encouraged Izuku, knowing Eri would ask no matter what. She knew she could ask Izuku anything.

Eri sat down the half-weaved flowers on the ground and focused on Izuku. “What is your Dad like? I can’t remember you ever telling me about him.”

“Oh, that’s because I never met him Eri. He went away for work before I got a chance to remember him,” revealed Midoriya, speaking to her in a soft tone.

“Why was he away for work for so long?” questioned Eri, not understanding why Izuku’s dad just wouldn’t be around.

Izuku shrugged, weaving Eri’s flowers for her. “I don’t know. His work was too important I suppose.”

Eri frowned, sad Izuku’s dad wasn’t around. “What about others?”

“Others?” repeated Izuku back to Eri, confused about what she meant.

“Yeah. The grandpas and grandmas and stuff. All of those people!” revealed Eri, a chipper grin on her face.

“Well, when I was young… they seemed to leave,” chuckled Izuku, unable to bring himself to tell her why.

Eri’s eyes widened, shocked Izuku was a lot like her. “Why did they all leave?”

Katsuki and Shoto arrived at the garden, spotting the two. They approached and saw the two talking. The expressions on Eri and Izuku’s faces signaled they were having a serious conversation. Katsuki walked right over, shamelessly snooping. Shoto went right alongside Katsuki. He wanted to know what Izuku was talking about.

Izuku was quick to come up with something, anything to keep Eri from getting too upset. He raised his head to see the sky peek through the leaves of the tree they were under.

“Sometimes special people come into our lives, stay for a bit, and then they have to go.”

Eri frowned, scooting closer to Izuku. “But that’s sad.”

“It is,” agreed Izuku solemnly. Izuku returned his gaze to Eri, resting his hands on the cloth of his slacks, smoothing out the wrinkles. He remembers how it felt to lose Toshinori. The news that Toshinori wouldn’t be around for much longer struck him in the gut so hard he couldn’t move. He couldn’t lie and say that it wasn’t hard. He smiled softly at her, tilting his head to the side. “But the bit where they were here was happy wasn’t it? Like Lemillion. When he was around, those were happy times.”

Eri’s eyes lit up, seeing the point Izuku was making. She giggled, a bright smile appearing as she nodded. “Yes! I brought his quirk back!”

Izuku hummed, nodding his head in acknowledgment. He recalled how monumental of a moment that was for everyone. Still, the thought reminded him of the war where no one walked away a winner. He pushed those feelings down, finding unconditional love for the girl he saw as his little sister.

“Maybe that makes it all worth it,” chuckled Midoriya, looking down at the flowers before putting one in her hair.

Eri smiled, touching the flower happily. She could understand what Izuku was saying. She missed Mirio always being around, but the time when he was around was a happy time. It made the time he was away bearable.

Shoto stood there, gripping the fabric of his shirt. He could feel his heart pound beneath his knuckles. The expression on Izuku’s face gnawed at him. The way Izuku said everything so mindlessly made Shoto realize Izuku thought of loss, a lot. Shoto lost a lot in his life, yet he couldn’t begin to deal with the grief in healthy ways. It took outside help to get to the point he was currently at. Even with the help he got, he couldn’t say there was anything that made it worth it. Not losing Toya, Rei, and the list of others he lost.

Katsuki watched with a blank expression. No matter what Izuku did, he couldn’t hide anything from Katsuki. Katsuki could see the strain in that smile. He could see the exhaustion replace the hope that was once in Izuku’s eyes. It made his palms sweaty. The way he felt was similar to the way a person would get when they had an itch they couldn’t scratch.

Katsuki loved Izuku. Izuku was like a porcelain sculpture, handcrafted by the heavens. Izuku's heart was made out of gold and he had the strength that could rival Gods and Goddesses. Katsuki looked at Izuku and drowned in hills of green. Izuku was the human embodiment of green: symbolic of life. His eyes, his hair, his everything.

Katsuki fell hard and Izuku had no clue. He watched Izuku tend to Eri with the maternal instincts he knew mimicked Inko. He knew deep down what Izuku was thinking the whole time. He knew what Izuku went through and how he dealt with losing people. Katsuki knew he had scared Izuku on numerous occasions when it came to “going away”.

Katsuki was about to step up and ruin the special moment, but Eri stopped him in his tracks. “Mister Deku… I don’t want you to go. You’re special.”

Izuku looked at Eri and his eyes widened. “Eri, I’m not going anywhere.”

“But you’re going to be a hero next year.”

“I am, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving you,” reassured Izuku, giving her an earnest smile.

“You’re not?” sniffled Eri.

Izuku scooped her into a gentle embrace. “Nope. Never ever.”

Eri cried into Izuku’s shoulder, hugging him tightly. Izuku rubbed circles on her back as tears made their way down his cheeks. His smile cracked as he listened to the relieved cries of Eri. Izuku pulled back and tucked her fly-away hair behind her ear before wiping away her tears. “You won’t be going anywhere either. You’re just as special.”

Eri smiled, patting Izuku’s tears as well. “Never! I’d never leave!”

Izuku laughed, rising to his feet and extending a hand out to her. “Good, because who else would I have tea parties with?”

“Yeah, and you can’t leave because no one else can make me candy apples,” threatened Eri adorably, taking Izuku’s hand and jumping up.

Izuku patted her head, smiling fondly. “Speaking of food, it’s about time we get you some lunch. What are you hungry for today?”

Katsuki revealed himself to Izuku and Eri. Todoroki magically appeared beside Katsuki and waved at the two. “Hi.”

Izuku’s face lit up. “Kacchan! Shoto!”

Katsuki crossed his arms. “Hatsume needs your help when you get the chance. Also, I’m making us lunch today. You’ll burn down the kitchen.”

“I’m completely capable of cooking Kacchan,” sassed Izuku, raising a brow. Izuku had cooked before Katsuki on numerous occasions.

Shoto lowered his head in shame. “I can’t cook.”

Eri smiled up at Shoto. “Me neither! We are the same!”

Shoto perked up, nodding at the small child. “We are.”

Izuku was distracted by the two’s little scene and smirked. “Well, neither of you has to worry about that. It seems that Kacchan has you covered since he won’t let me cook.”

“Ha! Don’t try and do that guilt-tripping bullshit Izuku,” roared Katsuki, all bark no bite.

Izuku smiled, shrugging his shoulders. “Just saying the truth Kacchan. Let’s go then, me and Eri are hungry.”

As the four made their way into the main building, Katsuki wrapped an arm around Izuku’s shoulder and bit his chubby cheek. Izuku, used to the violent forms loving Katsuki showed, lightly bonked his head against Katsuki’s.

“Nothing makes it worth it if I can’t have you by my side,” murmured Katsuki into Izuku’s ear.

Izuku’s heart melted at Katsuki’s voice and his words of affirmation. Izuku leaned his head on Katsuki’s shoulder, using his free hand to wrap around his bicep. “You know I can’t live without you either,” whispered Izuku.

Izuku may be used to grief… but he will never be prepared when the time comes he loses the ones he holds the closest for good. But for now, Izuku has everything he could ever want. Eri, Shoto, and Katsuki had everything they could ever want. As cheesy as it sounded, it was because they had each other. They had love to keep the grief at bay or they made themselves believe so.

The End!

(also ignore the fact I referenced a scene from the kid's show Bluey in the episode “Camping” 😭 and ignore the fact that I thought about making a fan fiction because of it 💔 it was emotional okay?)

Gymnast Hinata!

It wasn’t uncommon for Hinata to say after practice and work on his Volleyball.

Recently he was leaving as soon as Coach dismissed them running off to god knows where the opposite direction of his house.

No one picked up on his muscles, even before he came to Karasuno. They just assumed it came with him being short even though Noya wasn’t built like him.

Eventually they decided to find out where he went to anytime he hurried away. Thankfully since Suga had Hinata sharing his location with him they could track him down.

“Why would Hinata be heading to a gym?”

Tsukishima was officially irritated, “So he run inmedetly after practice to go and work out more?”

Tanaka wipes a tear from his eye, “So manly.”

Asahi waved his hands trying to calm the growing questions and irritation, “Well the gym has multiple sections, for all we know he could be running or meeting his mom or something!”

Daichi sighed with relief finally hearing someone thinking logically, “Thank you, besides none of us have asked.”

Yamaguchi finally spoke up, “Yet Hinata announces everything he does. For instance his bathroom songs.”

Kageyama nodded having to agree, “Yes he literally is always explaining what he’s doing or what he’s going to do. He’s never once explained going to a gym after practice.”

A new suspicion rose. Was Hinata purposely hiding something from them. Hinata was never one to keep secrets. He even told the team about his fathers death, and the effect it had on his family.

They approached the main entrance finding him located in the gymnastics section. Opening the doors the room was huge. Bars, balance beams, giant open floors, vaults, crazy stuff.

They heard a male shouting, he looked about 19 someone in their first year of college. He was built well and had hair similar to Suga’s yet it was a bright red. A charming face yet there was this fire behind it as he yelled.

There stood Hinata he was wearing a orange sleeveless leotard with plain black spandex. You could see his shoulders, back, chest, and upper arms decorated in freckles. The tight fitting shorts hugged his surprisingly big ass. His thighs and calves flexing as his arms straightened behind him as he prepared himself to move. He was at this point practicing some things for his upcoming floor routine in a competition.

They all froze in their tracks watching the man yell at Hinata who nodded looking at his bare feet for a moment before looking back up and taking a hard sprint before sending himself flying into the air.

Their breaths were taken away as this was Olympic worthy skills put together. Hinata smiled each one he landed after his last one he simply laid on the ground the man picking him out throwing him into the foam pit.

“That was perfect! Now do it again, fail and you’re going it again.”

Hinata crawled out of the pit shoving him, “It isn’t easy constantly being on my feet and putting tons of pressure on them over 4 hours each day!”

“You’re fault you wanted to play volleyball.”

“I wanted to be on a team! Besides I’m very happy with volleyball and wouldn’t every give it up!”

Tanaka and Noya were screaming running over, “Hinata you’re so cool!”

Hinata froze staring at the two, “What are you.. doing here?”

Looking over seeing the rest of his teammates there he had a horrified smile on his face collapsing knocked out.

The man smiled, “Ah you must be his teammates! Nice to finally meet you, I’m his friend and personal Coach Hakuryū Nariaki.”

Daichi smiled shaking his head, “I’m his captain Daichi Sawamura, pleasure to meet you.”

Suga brightly rushing over to Hinata helping I’m up even though he was still out like a light, “I’m vice-captain Kōshi Sugawara!”

The rest of the introductions were made and Hinata was now snoring, “Hey does anyone know where he lives? I think he should take off the rest of training today and get some sleep.”

Everyone stared at Kageyama who was very opposed to the idea, “How am I alone supposed to get him up that hill?”

Tanaka twirled his keys on his fingers, “Give me the location and I’ll get you there.”

Nodding they just stared at Hinata, “So how long is his practices here?”

“Normally two hours every other day. I had to cut back on the amount he practices because he’d push himself too hard with both sports and end up collapsing from exhaustion or stress.”

Daichi quickly, “Thank you for telling us, we will bring this up to our Coach and figure out how to make this as benifit always for Hinata as possible.”

Damn Hinata was fit, but why was he hiding his skills?
