okay but when i first watched this scene, i kinda wondered why tony only said 2 words. like “you’re alright” that’s it. even after he clung to him and started to cry tony didn’t say a word. 

but then we learned that tom improvised that scene. So that was probably RDJ’s reaction. I don’t think he was expecting Tom to start crying to fall into his arms like that. Hearing him like that probably really fucked up RDj even if they were only filming. So that look on his face was probably RDJ dreading what Tom was about to do. Because he was going to make it incredibly painful. 

forever frustrated people insist that Rodimus made Drift take the fall. When it is canon that it was Drift’s idea and Rodimus was going let them punish him ,take away the captaincy and probably exile him. Like guys, I know it’s easy to take Ratchet’s view on everything but Ratchet did NOT KNOW about this convo (maybe he does now) but this right here is canon:

Rodimus: I won’t let you do this for me.

Drift: I’m not doing it for you. I’m doing it for everyone else. 

Thinking Rodimus should have pressed and refused to let Drift do it? Perfectly fine, but the idea that Rodimus manipulated or convinced Drift to take the fall is false. I am suprised it took so long for Rodimus’ guilt to eat him alive and to go against Drift and tell the crew and do the vote.

A vote he didn’t have to do since Drift gifted him the ship. Rodimus could have said if you don’t like me as Captain feel free to stay on Cybertron. 

I know a lot of people read these on view comics or just ignored the text prose bits. But the text prose is canon.
