Warnings: Fluffier Alcina than I usually write but I guess I’m in the mood for a bit of fluffy love.

Your mind was racing with information as you walked down one of the many hallways in Dimitrescu Castle. Alcina had requested you learned her first language and now after a year and a half of studying and practice with the girls you were on the verge of being fluent. You’re head was moving a thousand miles a minute as you walked through the foyer eager to get to Bela to ask for her assistance with some pronunciation.

“Hello Iubirea mea.”

Your lovers voice startled you as you turned your head to her seeing her come through another door.

“Mmmh Hello My Love.”

You say with a smile.

“Where are you off too? I have a few free moments I had hoped you’d walk the grounds with me.”

Alcina’s words made your heart flutter you still couldn’t quite understand what made her fall for you but you will forever be greatful for it. Your instinct wanted you to say yes but you remember your surprise for her and shake your head.

“I’m sorry Alcina but I am in the middle of something.”

Without another word you turn and continue your journey. You missed your lover reaching for you and failed to see the defeated look on her face. It is a few hours before you run into your lover again. On the way to garden to meet with Daniela and make sure everything was prepared for tonight.

“Ahhh draga mea I just had some mint tea arrive would you like to try some?”

You looked at your lover with an amused smile watching her hold the big shipping box of tea in one hand.

“No, I’m sorry Alcina, I am still busy.”

You quickly turned on heel moving towards the garden. Failing again to see your lover bend for a kiss. You did however hear the displeased grunt that left the tall woman as you turned another corner. It is around three p.m. before you see Alcina once more. You are walking toward the kitchen as she exits the library and catches a glimpse of you turning the corner.

“(Y/N).”

Your name was smooth and alluring off Alcina’s lips but Alcina never calls you by your name. You peak your head back around the corner to see her standing there expectantly.

“Yes my love?”

You call back as you round the corner towards her. Her eyebrow raises as you walk and you give her a questioning look.

“Do you have a moment?”

Your mind ran over all the things you needed to do right now but you decide against them.

“I always have a moment for you.”

You say with a warm smile.

“Oh is that so?”

Alcina responded with an annoyed tone.

“Is that......”

Before Alcina could finish her sentence the loud yell of your name by Cassandra was heard across the castle.

“I’m sorry Alci, hold that thought.”

You quickly turned on heel and Alcina’s face turned to an angry scowl.

“Nu pot obține o secundă.” (I can’t get a second.)

The tall woman said under her breath. You heard the anger laced in her words but chose to push on anyway. All her anger would fade once she got her surprise. Finally dinner time drew near as the last of your studies concluded and everything was set up. You went seeking your lover hoping to get a few moments with her before the meal. You found her in your shared chambers sitting in front of her vanity fixing her make up hat hanging on the mirror.

“Hi sweetie.”

You said warmly as you entered the room and easily glided to her. Stern eyes met yours through the mirror before she went back to what she was doing.

“I’m sorry I’ve been so busy today. It’s all been rather hectic really.”

You continue. Alcina doesn’t even spare you a glance before responding.

“Okay.”

You tilt your head at the woman before walking closer to her wanting to look her in the eye.

“Are you okay?”

You knew she was angry, but you were hoping playing innocent would get you back on her good side.

“Perfectly fine.”

She said before standing and moving away from you towards the closet. You followed behind determined to win her over.

“Alcina.”

You say softly as she goes to grab her nightgown to set out for after dinner.

“What is it you want (Y/N).”

You fight back a flinch at the use of your name once more. She must really be angry.

“A kiss.”

You say while puckering your lips at her. Alcina turns to look down at you for a long moment, you patiently wait eyes never leaving hers. Before long she lets out a sigh and leans down lightly pressing her lips to yours. You quickly hold her face deepening the kiss. You relax into the intimacy realizing this is the first time you’ve even touched Alcina today. Alcina quickly takes control of the kiss but before things get heated she pulls back. You hold her face a little tighter making her pause a moment to look at you.

“I’m sorry for neglecting you today.”

You say once more before kissing her forehead. With that you turn to leave the closet opting to lounge in your bed and read a book till dinner. As you started to move that way a big hand grabs you by your waist. Suddenly you are in the air as you’re lifted to Alcina’s chest.

“Don’t go. Whatever it is it can wait till after dinner.”

You giggle at your lovers sudden change realizing all she wanted all day was your attention and love.

“I was going no where but to our bed dove.”

Alcina hummed as she cuddled you closer in hailing your scent. Your hands wrap around her neck as she holds you, you feel your lover relax as if finding comfort in your scent alone.

“Locul meu fericit.” (My happy place.)

You hear her mumble and a whole hearted laugh leaves your lips. Alcina lifts her head eyebrow raising as she studies your face.

“What is it my love?”

You ask as you smile warmly and caress your lovers face.

“What is funny?”

She says eyebrow still raised and you quickly realize your mistake. You were never good at lying and once you take one moment to long your lovers look turns into a smirk.

“Did you understand me Iubirea mea?”

You try to make a confused face as you look at her.

“Understand you when?”

Wrong choice. Alcina now has a full out smile on her face as you continue to try and play it off.

“So you did. My my păsărică do you have something you want to tell me?”

You nod.

“Yes actually, the girls and me request your presence in the garden after dinner.”

Alcina’s smirk is back but she plays along and nods before putting you down.

“Very well inima mea.”

You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding and make your way to your bed. Your side of the bed still held the book you always kept under a spare pillow. You stretched a little before climbing in bed a lounging on your stomach as you open the pages. Quickly you are immersed in a different world cutting out the noise around you. Alcina sits for her normal cup of wine in front of the fire ever so often glancing your way. Eventually there is a knock at the door.

“Mistresses dinner has been served.”

You quickly hop up already hearing your tummy rumble after your exciting day. Your lover stands from her seat as well.

“Come darling let’s go eat.”

She says before bending to place a light kiss on your forehead. You smile brightly up at her before walking towards the door.

“Prinde-mi pălăria.” (Grab my hat pet.)

Alcina says back to you and without thinking twice you do as your lover ask, same as always. Only it wasn’t the same as always, you were standing with the overly sized hat in front of your lover when she smirked down at you and you realize what you’ve done.

“So you did understand me, when did you learn Romanian?”

Your face went into a pout at the realization that you spoiled your surprise and you huffed out in anger.

“Just forget it Alcina.”

You say angrily letting go of that hat as she took it and storming out of your shared room. You quickly walk to the kitchen and the bright smile on the girls faces quickly fade as they see your face.

“She figured it out.”

Bela said with a slightly let down huff as the excitement of the night is gone. You plop down angrily in your chair as Alcina enters the room.

“Hello my doves.”

She said in greeting to her daughters before going to kiss everyone of their foreheads.

“Mother you always ruin (Y/N)‘s surprises. We were really excited for this one too!”

Alcina fights back a giggle as she looks over you four.

“It isn’t my fault that (Y/N) can’t lie.”

The four of you huff in response and dinner is quiet. Once you finish eating Alcina is the first to stand.

“Alright familia mea what is it you wanted to show me in the garden.”

You got up angrily as you walked toward the doors to leave the dining room.

“I said forget it Alcina.”

You slammed the door as you made your way to your favorite hiding spot. You relax in your little room and calm yourself down. The pathways to this room were to small for Alcina so you knew she wouldn’t bother you here. You huffed as you plopped down into a chair.

“I can’t ever do anything.”

You shouldn’t be mad at Alcina, not really but you can’t help it. She knows you to well and whenever you want to be romantic like her and surprise her she always figures it out. You put over a year into learning Romanian and on the day it really mattered you’d let it slip. You aren’t sure how much time has passed since you’ve retreated to your hidey hole but when you emerge the castle is quiet. You move as quietly as you can making your way to your room. You let out a relieved sigh when you don’t find Alcina in bed. You make your way to your closet quickly changing to a night gown before laying down. It was less than an hour before your lover entered y’all’s room. You laid with your eyes closed facing the wall as you listened to the shuffle of your lovers movements. After a minute or two you feel the bed dip as Alcina climbs under the covers. You wait to feel her embrace, and after thirty seconds you raise your head to see what she was waiting on. You open your eyes to see golden irises starring at you already. You just roll you eyes and huff as you pop your head back down.

“Don’t be mad.”

She said softly as she pulled your body flush with hers. You only hummed back in response relaxing into your pillows. Your eyes shoot open at the feeling of lips on your neck.

“Stop it Alcina.”

You said as you wiggled your way out of her grasp. You hear Alcina’s displeased grunt but choose to ignore it. You hear the bed creak once more, assuming Alcina rolled over you relax back into your pillows. Quick as lighting you are flipped onto your back your eyes open wide as a body works it’s way between your legs and a hand on your throat.

“Nu mă vei nega cu animalul meu de companie.” (You will not deny me what is mine pet.)

You bite your lip in attempt to hold back a moan.

“I am sorry I spoiled your surprise dear but you shouldn’t be mad at me it isn’t my fault you can’t lie or keep anything a secret.”

You pouted again as you looked at Alcina.

“I spent over a year preparing for this one surprise and I didn’t even get to go through with it.”

You said tears threatening to fall. It felt almost defeating to have her find out after you put so much time into it. Alcina hummed and kisses both your cheeks before placing a soft kiss on your lips. She moved down to your neck once more ghosting her fangs over your pulse point.

“How about you go ahead with your surprise and show me how much vocabulary you know.”

Alcina said as her hand slipped down to your sensitive area.

Mostly showing Mother Miranda, but often also the Lady of the Castle that towers far over their little town

These were devotional pictures, but that wasn’t the case with the locket you wore in a necklace every day

It was meant to be a worshipping piece of jewelry, but when you begun working for family Dimitrescu your feelings towards it changed

Ever since Lady Dimitrescu saved your life from one of those beasts that roamed the grounds of these haunted lands

You were a Maid already back then, which was the only reason she bothered preventing your death

But since that you have started dropping the avoidant behavior every staff member was trying to hold up around the family

Paying attention to the enormous Lady and what she was doing- she would of course notice your attention and lock her predatory golden eyes with you

Once she caught you staring and actually send you an amused chuckle, surprised and amused alike by the little Maid being so in awe

She figured you were probably just fascinated to serve a person of her statue, not to mention the powers she possessed

That was until some Lycans were trespassing to the Castles gardens, something Lady Dimitrescu explicitly didn’t want them to do

And they did so while you were busy trimming the hedges and looking after the flowers

The tall Lady was seated in the library looking through some papers when she heard a scream from the open window were snowflakes were slowly drifting down

It wasn’t unusual to hear noises of torment and pain around here, but despite that something about it made her alert this time

She gracefully set down the pen to walk to the window, looking outside to see the little Maid that had been observing her for a while now

You were backing against a hedge, garden scissors gripped firmly as you were faced with a Lycan with two more approaching as well

She crinkled her nose in anger and growled lowly as she hurried to get down the stairs and towards the gardens

Just before she opened the wooden doors she could hear another muffled scream erupting from you

When she stepped outside the scream had been rapidly silenced as you fell to the ground

She completely snapped, soon tainting the path running alongside the finely kept flowers snd bushed with their blood

Eventually, she returned to your unconscious form and took a moment to just look at you without anything or anyone forcing composure onto the Mistress

She always saw you running around with that Locket, saw it dangling from around your neck whenever you were cleaning or working on your other deeds

And now you were clutching it tight even unconscious, in a way that funnily enough reminded her of how mortals would often hold up a cross believing that would banish her

You held it like it would protect you

She send you a smile that was both comforting and making you nervous, a strange sensation to experience

„I would not have thought to have a remaining believer amongst my servants,“ she said and tilted her head a little to the side

It took you a while to actually be able to answer her and speak the first words you have ever addressed at her directly-

There was no way you could get out of this by just insisting on working now or setting up a distraction

Alright, now you would gladly walk to that windowsill and throw yourself out cause that was singlehandedly the most embarrassing thing ever

Bad enough that Mary had seen the locket and teased you about your crush on the giant Lady, throwing you knowing looks and smirks as you both bowed when the Mistress walked past you

But now you actually admitted it to her face

And it was good that you were consciously keeping your gaze down right now, because otherwise you would have caught her composed expression fall right in front of you

The lips that often formed a confident smirk now curled into a silent ‚oh‘ and the golden eyes were widened in genuine surprise

Now that was.. different for her, she was feared and despised and held her composure in expectation of those feelings, holding her head high over the terror she caused in the mortals and the hate she earned for it

But.. affection, even adoration? That was a first

You kept your gaze down until you felt the mattress dip and a shadow cover you

Two of her elegant fingers dipped up your chin to make you look at her

„What’s your name darling?“

You swallowed thickly and answered, to which she nodded knowingly all while sliding her fingers further over your chin to your cheek

„You’re a foolish one, Y/n.“ Your name rolled over her tongue so smoothly that it send your heart racing even more

„But I find myself liking this trait in you.“ She eyes you in amusement as you seem to melt away under her touch despite her cool skin

“Be careful little one, once you caught the Monsters eye there will be no escape“

With that she stood up and left you to sit there paralyzed with this promising warning in mind
