Lean On Me | Sooho
- afab! reader. thank you anon! âĄ
Ahn Sooho. He wasn't someone unpopular. In fact, a lot of girls had a crush on him, but he was just too busy to accept anyone. At first, he could barely accept Sieun into his busy life. Sooho had always been everyones guardian angel. Always protecting the weak against the strong, making sure the strong didn't hurt the weak, and always making sure no one went too far.
It was a usual day, seven in the morning. You walked into the class as you saw Sieun, already seated with his airpods in, and books neatly placed in front of him. He gave you a kind of nod as you smiled back at him. You weren't technically friends nor classmates, but his friendship with Sooho had made the both of you acquaintances of some sort.
You walked to the back of the class as you quietly pulled the chair near Sooho's desk as you sat behind the three tables the boy had pulled together to make a makeshift bed. You unzipped your bag as quietly as you could, partly because you didn't want to disturb Sooho and entirely because you didn't want to disturb Sieun, feeling kind of intimidated by his silent stare if you disturbed him. You took out a small blanket, putting it over his sleeping body as you patted his head softly. You felt bad that he had to sleep at school because he had to juggle so many part-time jobs just to make sure he could get through high school and support his grandmother at the same time.
You watched as his eyelashes fluttered, and his chest rose and dipped with each deep breath he took. You weren't in his class, but you made lunch for him every day, not wanting him to miss his meals or work on an empty stomach. You didn't mind that it took you two more hours than usual to prepare lunch, as long as Sooho wouldn't fall sick and you wouldn't have to worry.
Most people would say that the both of you were like married couples. You'd prepare him lunch, and he'd send you to your after-school activities, and you had no complaints against it. Sooho didn't like feeling like he owed people, so that was the least you could let him do.
Sooho stirred in his sleep as the sun rose higher, the sunshine shining directly into the classroom, hitting his face, although you tried your best to shield his eyes from the light. Sooho opened his eyes as he saw you, waiting for him as per usual, as he sat up and yawned. He stretched his arms as he turned to you with a smile on his face, saluting.
"Good Morning Mrs Ahn!" Sooho announced, not feeling a single hint of embarassment as your cheeks still grew red from the nickname.
Sooho was sure. He was sure you're the one for him. He'd give up everything, including himself, for you. It didn't take a genius to notice your affect on him, and even his grandmother was proud of the changes he had in his life.
"Mr Ahn, this is your meal for the day. Don't forget to eat or I'll get mad!" You teased back as you picked up your bag, passing him the metal lunchbox, about to leave as per usual but Sooho stopped you.
"I'll send you to your class," Sooho said with a grin as he took your bag from your grip and slung it over his shoulder, taking your hand in his free hand as he dragged you out the classroom.
It had become a natural occurrence for the students at school to see Sooho dragging you around, clinging onto you to spend every free second he had with you. Sooho happily chattered on about what he had done over the weekend, talking about how after work, he had treated his grandmother to a meal.
"I brought grandma to have a meal, my treat, but she asked me where you were at! I think she loves you more than me!" Sooho whined as you couldn't help but laugh at his childishness, looking at him as you couldn't help but feel yourself hiccup as the sun seemed to compliment his looks just a little bit more than usual. You crossed your arms as you responded teasingly, "Oh well, I guess I'm her favourite now!".
Sooho feigned shock as he covered his mouth with both his hands, eyes widened as he held your bag up high. You gasped in false shock as you poked his side, causing him to flinch as he instinctively brought your bag lower, allowing you to grab it with ease.
"I know you too well Mr Ahn! See you later!" You smiled at Sooho as you were about to walk into your class, the boy already walking away.
"Don't fall asleep in class! Atleast try to listen!" You yelled as Sooho held a thumbs up, not turning as he skipped back to his class.
Class wasn't the best part of school, but you knew that if you wanted a future with Sooho, at least one of you had to have a certification higher than a diploma.
Lunch was definitely the best part of school. You walked to the cafeteria as you grabbed a tray, picking the food you wanted from the school buffet as you walked to the pay line but was bumped into by one of the ugly looking guys from Class 3, who had way too much confidence.
"I know I'm good looking, but should Ahn Sooho's girlfriend really be trying to get comfy with me?" The brocolli-haired, short and lumpy, big mouthed guy joked as you looked at him in absolute disgust. Was he serious?
"I'm sorry, but you bumped into me. I have no interest in you whatsoever, so please let me pay for my food," You answered calmly as you tried to move past him but was blocked once again by the ogre look-alike.
"Just because you're dating Ahn Sooho, you think you're a big deal? You ought to know how to behave!" The guy said, clearly irked as he raised his hand.
Instinctively, you closed your eyes, ready to take the hit, but it never came. You opened your eyes to see the familiar red jacket wearing man in front of you. Sooho held the guy's hand as he twisted it, slightly, just to get a yelp from him as he moved closer to him.
"I didn't think you'd stoop so low to the point you'd hit a woman, more so my woman, so screw off. You're not a delinquent. You're just a fool." Sooho said as he released his hold on the guy's arm as he ran out of the cafeteria, feeling intimidated by Sooho's little speech.
Sooho turned to you as he held your shoulders, bending down slightly to be face to face with you, "Are you alright? You must've been scared. "
You nodded as Sooho couldn't help but pat your head, smiling.
"I'll always save you, don't worry. Let's go eat, I'm hungry!" Sooho reassured you as he slung an arm over your shoulder, leading you to the now 'safe' pay line.
You sat down with Sooho at your usual table as you watched Sooho eat, scooping from the mountain of rice on his tray and stuffing it into his mouth, not forgetting to pick up meat right after.
"How are you always stuffing your face, but you never choke?" A voice asked as Sieun took a seat next to you, across the empty seat on Sooho's right.
"The art of devouring is not something easily learned, top student of the country," Sooho announced as if he was an emperor from the Joseon period as he raised his head proudly.
You turned to Sieun as you ignored your boyfriend's strange antics, "I heard you got called to the office just now".
"It's because of the new student, Oh Beomseok. We went out with him, and stuff happened. it's alright." Sieun responded short as he dug into his normal portioned food.
You watched as Sooho finished the entire plate of food, not leaving a single crumb. You were satisfied that at least in between Sooho's crazy schedule, he could at least eat a normal school lunch and talk to his friends.
Sooho sat on his motorbike as he had your bag slung in front of him, the brightly coloured bag standing out as compared to his black coloured bag behind it. He had two bags slung in front on purpose, so you could lean onto him comfortably, but he'd never admit that.
"Let's go, or you'll be late to your calligraphy class and then Miss So will be mad at me," Sooho made a sad face as you chuckled at the boy's 'TT' pose under his eyes.
Miss So was your calligraphy teacher, and she taught you calligraphy one-on-one, due to the fact that you were further ahead and way more advanced that the other students who had just joined, unlike you who had been doing calligraphy for years. She had taken a liking for the boy, at her age of 72, she said that 'he's a good boy, and the both of you compliment each other'.
You got onto the motorbike as you wrapped your arms around his waist, feeling the sythethic material against your arm as your back was on your boyfriend's chest. Sooho smiled, his cheekbones high as he revved the engine.
"Let's go, Mrs Ahn!" Sooho announced as he drove the motorbike down the hill. It was your favourite part of the whole ride. The helmet shielded your face from the wind as the both of you went down the hill from the gate, the crowd of students walking slowly down the pavement.
Sooho, and you always joked that once the both of you get married, he'll have to get a car licence, or else, there'll be nowhere for your child to sit. Sooho never told anyone but his grandmother, but he never thought of a future without you. Never in his wildest dreams did he think of a time when he'd leave you or you'd leave him. He was working for not only his own future or his grandma's happiness, but also your future together with his. He needed that diploma to get a good job, or at least continue to college so he can support your family in the future.
"You arrived!" The voice of an old lady could be heard as the door of the old style house, that still seemed expensive, slid open, revealing Miss So waiting for you.
"Sorry, did I keep you waiting?" You asked as you got off the motorbike, Sooho's arms around your waist as he helped you off, avoiding the hot exhaust.
"No no, you didn't! Sooho brought you here safe right? Or should I make him write a thousand characters?" Miss So joked as Sooho held a hand to his chest, feigning offence at her words.
"Miss So! I bring my girlfriend safe everywhere! I'm a very good driver and if she got injured, I'll get injured too!" Sooho said as he covered his face, acting as if he was crying into his hands.
"You're a big baby even after you've dated for so many years. Come on, let's start class before your boyfriend clings onto you and won't let you go," Miss So teased as you couldn't help but laugh at her words, turning to see Sooho sulking.
"I'll be right back. Be careful at work!" You waved at the boy as Sooho waved back, putting on his own helmet as he drove off to his part time job.
Sooho didn't expect that what had happened to him, Sieun and Beomseok, would come back to bite him in the ass so fast, but it did.
He was eating the lunch you had packed him in the metal lunch box, in the delivery riders room, watching a video on his phone as he heard a group of high school 'delinquents' walking outside with baseball bats, muttering.
"We're going to teach him a lesson. How dare he report us to the bullying committee? Now, Soo Wong is mad at us, and now we have to do his dirty work. What a cheap," one of the bigger sized boys muttered as they walked in the direction of the back alley.
Sooho never got involved unless needed, but this was a group of close to fifteen boys, and from what he heard, against one? If that boy reported them to the bullying committee, he's a goner.
Sooho tried to forget about it, not wanting to care. He scooped the rice with spam into his mouth, focusing on the food you had packed with your love along with it. He raised the volume of the video, trying to block out all his thoughts, but somehow, it kept repeating in his head. Sooho got up with a loud groan, huffing as he packed his bag and clocked out, walking out of the staff room as he made his way to the back alley.
"Miss So, I'm going to the bathroom for a while," you told your teacher, who was looking at your current piece. Miss So nodded as you swiftly left the class, feeling the stomach ache beginning to creep in. You placed your arms on your stomach as you ran to the bathroom.
It wasn't a good time in there, at all. You got back into the classroom as Miss So looked at you with a worried expression.
"If you're not feeling well, go home! Did you not eat today? I'm telling Sooho if you skip your meals!" Miss So scolded you as you shook your head, grabbing your bag, packing your brushes and paper into your bag as you told Miss So, "I'm going home, I'm so sorry that we had to cut the lesson short! I promise I'll make up for it!".
Miss So shook her head with a smile as you left building, making a turn to Sooho's workplace. You couldn't just leave without telling Sooho, or he'd frantically call you or knock on your door like a maniac after work.
"What the hell...?" You muttered as you peered into the staff room of his workplace to find it empty. Sooho abandoning work? Did something happen?
You couldn't imagine what could've happened to make him abandon work. Was he in danger?
Sooho was up against four guys. The boy they attacked looked half beaten to death. His white uniform was coloured red as his bag was unzipped. It wasn't hard to fight all of them at once, but seeing as one of them looked quite strong, he wasn't sure.
Sooho charged at the first guy, kicking him behind the knee as the boy toppled down instinctively, giving Sooho the chance to land a kick on his side, sending him into the wall. The second guy ran up to him as Sooho saw his right shoulder move, making him dodge to the right as he ended up behind the boy. Sooho landed a kick on his back, sending him forward as his chin landed on the rough floor, enough to have him groaning in pain from the friction. The third guy played dirty as he threw his blazer onto Sooho, trying to block his sight, but sooho knew better as he charged straight into the boy, knocking him with his head as the boy stumbled backwards, giving Sooho the chance to land a punch on him multiple times.
Sooho was too distracted, not noticing the fourth boy already behind him, grabbing him into a headlock as Sooho was pulled backwards. Sooho would pass out at that rate, his vision slowly dotting as he struggled against the guy's strong grip.
A bag flew into the boy's head as Sooho was released from his grip. Sooho turned to see you standing, heaving as you just threw your heavy bag at someone. Sooho stood up as he dusted his hands.
"Looks like my girlfriend is here! Can't leave her waiting! You should all repent for your crimes, it's not good to bully people," Sooho stated, half sarcastic. Sooho picked up your bag and his bag as he turned to the boy who had just been beaten by the bullies, "You should get out of here and report them again. If they still bully you, ask this pretty lady to help you".
The both of you walked back to Sooho's workplace as he turned to you, "Why did you do that? What if they changed their target to you? What would I have done then? That was dangerous. Don't do that again. I'll be the hero, and you can be my pretty girlfriend. "
You raised an eyebrow as you responded, " You shouldn't have to save everyone. If you're saving everyone, who's your hero? Then, I'll be your hero. I'll always take care of you so you can take care of everyone".
You smiled at Sooho as the boy felt like he had just fallen in love with you all over again. It felt like the time when you both confessed again, he was down on his knees for you, and his heart was yours.
"Then I can be your hero, and you'll be mine."

my masterlist
Inhale. Exhale.
The nerves were flooding in as you waited for your turn to be âpresented to societyâ. Being a debutant and actually participating in the stuff you found nonsense at first was the last thing you expected youâd be doing this summer. What you didnât expect in a million years either, was falling for the one you sworn you hated with every single part of you.
You couldnât pinpoint the exact moment it began, but it hit you hard when you heard that Belly broke up with Cam. Thoughts of the two of you being together flooded your mind, and though you tried to push them away, they lingered.
Instead of pursuing these thoughts, you distanced yourself from Cam, which turned out to be more difficult than expected since he seemed to be everywhere you were.
Cam was taken aback by your sudden distance. Although you both disliked each other, you never missed the opportunity to bicker. Now, whenever he tried to engage, you either ignored him or replied formally without any insults.
And if Cam had to be honest, it made him feel this pain in his chest. Especially when you started to hangout him with this guy you had met at the bonfire. The same guy you befriended to try to forget Cam. And also the same guy who was your escort to the debutant ball.
Cam tried to come up with reasons for your distance, and one day, he found himself standing in front of your house. Cam wasnât sure what he was going to say or do, but he was determined to see you. His heart skipped a beat when he made it to the porch and he halted in front of the door, taking a deep breath in.
He was about to knock, when a thought jumped into his head.
You were scrolling on your phone, trying everything to get Cam out of your head. But everything you saw reminded him of you. You even came past a video of whales and wanted to scream out loud. Why was your phone working against you?
A knock on your window interrupted your furious thoughts and confusion washed over you. You donât remember meeting up with anyone, or telling someone to come by your window. Scared that it might be a burglar, you grabbed the first object you saw to use as a weapon. However, when you opened your window, the last person you expected was in front of you, heavily panting. âCameron?â You questioned, lowering your weapon since there wasnât an actual real threat.
âHi.â He simply greeted with a grin, before climbing into your room. He stood way too close to you, making your breath hitch as he dusted himself off. But you werenât going to let him notice what kind of effect he had on you, so the best you could do is just bicker like you used to to mask it.
âWhat are you doing here? Trying to rob me or something?â You asked as you took a few steps back, ââCause Iâm not afraid to use this!â You showed the bedside table lamp in your hands.
âCalm down, Y/l/n,â He chuckled as he put his hand on your arm to lower it, and you just allowed him to do so. You felt yourself relax at the warmth and touch of his hand and mentally cursed yourself for this. He liked at you with a small smile, a smile that made your heart flutter in your chest.
Camâs hand lingered on your arm, before he cleared his throat and quickly removed it. Around everyone, he was always shy and reserved, but with you it was different. You brought out some confidence in him he never knew he had. And Cam never understood why, but with you, he felt at ease and weirdly enough, safe. Whenever he even looked in your direction, his worries would vanish as if they never existed.
Cam walked past you slowly and looked around your room. He tried to memorise every object on your desk, every little detail in your room. âWhy are you ignoring me?â He asked, throwing his head over his shoulder to look at you. You were standing there at loss for words, trying to come up with a good excuse. He nodded to himself when you didnât answer before continuing his walk around your room.
âI should be asking you the questions! Why are you in my room, Sextus?â You crossed your arms over chest and watched him let out a laugh at the name you called him. The sound made you burst of out happiness, but you werenât planning on showing.
âPlease, Ceres, be honest with meâŚâ He started walking back towards you slowly, his eyes never leaving yours. The way he remembered the name you used at the latin convention made your heart skip a beat. âWhy would I?â You said with a loud huff and you turned your head to the side with your eyes closed.
When you opened your eyes, Camâs face was only an inch from yours, and you felt your guard fall down. It wouldâve been so much easier if Cam didnât have this effect on you. Your face fell. âStop.â You mumbled, inaudible for him to hear.
âWhat was that?â He inquired genuinely, getting even closer if that was even possible. âStop!â You spoke out louder, making him jump out of his skin, but soft enough for it to be a whisper. âStop what?â Cam asked curiously. You stared into his eyes, trying to find something, think of something to make you hate him again. But as you looked into his deep eyes, all you could think about what you could be, as something else than enemies.
You looked at the ground in defeat, before continuing, âIâm trying so hard, Cameron, so hard.â
Cam was quiet as he looked at you with a confused look on his face, and he wanted you to tell him everything that was on your mind. When you looked up at him, Cam noticed that there was something else in your eyes. Something else than what he usually saw, and he couldnât quite place what it was. âCameron, Iâm trying so hard not to hate you.â You whispered.
Camâs heart was pounding out of his chest, while he was looking at you with his mouth agape ever so slightly. He hoped your words meant what he thought they meant, and his hand reached for yours.
A yell of your name woke both you and Cam out of your trance, eyes widening in panic. âIs everything okay up there?â Your mom yelled from downstairs, and you heard her footsteps coming up the stairs. Cam rushed towards your window, and you helped him get out quickly. Before he got down, he said something that you spent thinking about the weeks that followed, âIâm really trying hard to hate you too, but I canât. No matter how hard I try.â
Ever since he dropped by, you had avoided him more than you initially did. And that made Cam wonder what he did or said wrong that day. You were all what he could think about, and if he wasnât thinking about you, he was dreaming about you or speaking about you.
Whenever you saw him, you would walk the other way, you would pretend you didnât see him standing. You basically ignored his existence. And for Cam it felt like a stab through the heart, a deep and painful one.
This continued until the debutant ball.
Cam was standing on the flight of stairs behind two other escorts and in front of many others, waiting for the girlâs name he was escorting to be announced. He didnât know how he ended up here, escorting a girl, who he didnât even really knew that well, to the debutant ball, But he would do anything to keep his mother happy, so here he was.
He was nervously fidgeting with his fingers, his mind on you like it always has been since the first time he saw you. A part of him wished it was you he was escorting. He wished that he was the one who first saw you in your dress before your presentation.
He fantasised how he actually wanted this day to go. You standing there in a beautiful dress, looking drop-dead gorgeous like you always did. Him being the one to look at you with an encouraging smile and mouthing to you how enchanting you looked. It was all you deserved and more. It killed him he wasnât the one to be doing it.
When it was Camâs to turn to go up stage and escort the girl, he imagined it was you by his side. He flashed her a polite smile as she did the same and watched as her eyes drifted off to behind him. Cam followed her eyes and saw that she was looking at none other than the guy who was escorting you.
Cam and the girl got off the stage and walked over to the other debutants, waiting for the next debutant to be presented. And when your name was called, Cam felt a heavy flutter in his chest he most certainly couldnât ignore.
The girl beside him watched his demeanour change at the sound of your name and smiled to herself. She always had the feeling Cam had a thing for you.
When you appeared on stage, Camâs eyes were drawn to you. The way you looked in your dress was indescribable and the way you glowed made his heart race a million miles per hour. You scanned the crowd, trying to find a familiar face to ease your nerves. And when your eyes locked Camâs warm ones it felt as if the world stopped turning. Every single person around you disappeared, it was just you and him.
And your nerves disappeared as quickly as they appeared.
You never pulled your eyes away from his gaze as you walked down the stage with your escort. The escort who had picked up on your crush on Cam a long while back.
Cam tried his best to keep his composure, he was refraining himself from running over to you and holding you like there was no tomorrow, he tried his best not to think about all the ways he would compliment you and make you feel good.
You and your escort halted in front of the table your parents were sitting at and you finally broke eye contact with Cam. Your heart was pounding out of your chest and you were thinking about Cam all the damn time as you waited for the presentations to finish.
When they did, every debutant with their escort bowed down to the table with their family. Afterwards, everyone sat down and waited for some surprise performance the escorts were giving. Your escort waited for you to take a seat next to one of your parents, before he parted as well after flashing you a small smile.
âYou looked amazing, honey.â Your mom praised, putting a hand on your shoulder. You thanked her and looked around the ball room, trying to find the one person who lived in your mind rent free. Cam was just walking past to get to the other escorts, when his eyes met yours once again. But this time you looked away after a few seconds, trying to nonchalantly brush off the fact you had a major crush on the guy you had thought was your number one enemy.
After the sudden dance performance, your escort had disappeared somewhere, along with the girl Cam was escorting. But neither of you seemed to care, as all you did was gaze at each other longingly, waiting for the people to announce when the first dance was about to take place.
Your parents, who were seated beside you, had noticed your stares and stolen glances towards the boy and smiled at each other knowingly. You tried to hide it, but they knew you. They knew when their daughter was actually in love.
The sound of glass clinking was heard, before a woman announced that it was time. And at that moment you woke up from your trance, realising your escort was still nowhere to be seen. Every debutant, alongside with her escort was gathering on the dance floor, except for you and, well, Cam.
âMom, where is he?â You questioned worriedly. âIt doesnât matter,â She answered, making your eyebrows furrow in confusion, âI think thereâs someone else youâd much rather want to share this dance with.â
She tilted her head towards a certain direction, and you knew immediately who she was referring to. But your eyes followed the direction she meant anyway, with a racing heart.
Cam was standing there, looking at you like a man in love. Thatâs because he is. He is in love. And before you knew it, your feet made their way towards him. You halted in front of him with a smile. You were panting like you had just run a marathon, but you didnât care, because you were right in front of who you wanted to be.
âSeems like we both donât have a dance partner, huh?â Cam chuckled, scratching the back of his neck nervously. All you could do was nod in respond, the words you actually wanted to speak out seeming to be stuck in your throat.
Your hands reached for his and when your fingers intertwined, you couldâve sworn you heard Cam let out a deep breath. The music started playing, and the two of you were drowning in one anotherâs eyes as you danced to the music just like you had practiced. The tension between the two of you was unbearable throughout the entire dance.
And once the dance ended, when you were in the end position, his face was awfully close to yours and you had to do anything in your power to not plant your lips on his. He pulled you back up, with way more force than he intended, which resulted into you being flush against his chest. Your faces only a few inches away, which made it even harder to refrain yourself.
You pulled away slowly, even when you wish you could stay like that forever. The words you desired to speak were stuck in your throat, and your eyes fell down, feeling flustered by everything that has happened this night. He wanted to say so much as he looked at you with a lovesick smile, but he didnât know how. His right hand fine yours as he put his left hand under your chin.
He stroked your cheek gently with his thumb, his eyes fixated you and only you. You were the only thing that mattered to him any day, anywhere, anytime.
Every couple around you started to leave the dance floor, but you and Cam stayed there without a care in the world. âLetâs get out of here.â He whispered, in which you grinned to in response.
He gave your hand a gentle squeeze as you walked towards the exit of the ball room, giggles and chuckles leaving your lips. Your parents watched from afar, knowing you were finally with the one you liked all along.
âyou'll be alright, no one can hurt you now.â
pairing: finnick odair x reader
summary: in which finnick shows up at your doorstep and vents his heart out.
warnings/contains: fluff, idk tbh lmk if i should add more
requested
a/n: i combined this with another request bc they were quite similar but tysm for the requests anons đŤśđź btw i didnât really know how to end it im so sorryyy itâs bad. actually this entire one shot is bad đ
As the sun set, you watched it from behind glass, captivated by the colours adorning the sky. It was something you rarely did, mostly because you had an insanely busy schedule as a former victor who lived in the capitol.
A knock on your door, however, ruined the one moment you had on your own. With a sigh, you walked towards the door, wondering who was visiting you at this hour. When you opened, you were surprised when you were met with Finnick. Yes, the Finnick Odair. The victor from district four who you had grown a fond friendship with. And had on whom you had a secret little crush on. âHi, finn?â You questioned, rather than said, wondering why he was at your doorstep out of the blue.
Your relationship with Finnick was⌠difficult. The two of you had shared a kiss and admitted your feelings to each other before, but nothing really came from it. Mostly because you were both scared what would happen when the friendship you shared would blossom into something more. Besides, you hadnât talked to him for quite some time.
And yet here he was standing silently in front of you. There was something about him that just didnât sit right with you. His usual cocky and confident attitude, was replaced with an entirely different one. âWell, come in.â The door creaked when you opened it further and you cringed at the sound of it. He walked towards your living space, as if he had already been here countless of times, which he had of course.
It was like his second home before it got complicated between the two of you.
You closed the door behind you, before following him, a million questions filling your head. He didnât utter a word, staring at the same sunset you had been watching only a minute ago. âFinnick, is everything alright?â
And it was as if that was his tipping point, because he suddenly stumbled into your arms. You were taken aback, thatâs for sure, but you hugged him tight nevertheless. You cooed sweet nothings as tears left his eyes like a waterfall. While soothingly rubbing his back, you let him cry his eyes out, not caring that your sweater was now soaking wet from his tears.
âFinn, whatever it is, just let it out.â You said softly, waiting for him to have cried it all out. The man holding onto you for dear life felt ashamed for breaking down like this. But after what he had been through that night, he just couldnât bottle it up anymore like he usually did. And when he realised it, the only person who he would want by his side was you.
âSorry.â Finnick mumbled with his head rested on your shoulder. And if you werenât so close to him, you probably wouldnât have heard it. He pulled away, one of his hands lingering on your waist, as he wiped the tears on his cheeks with the other. He had been looking down the entire time, but when he finally looked up at you, you could see the pain and fatigue in his eyes. âOh, finnick.â You put your hand on his cheek and he leaned into the comforting touch.
After he had calmed down, the two of you sat down on your couch. The same couch you were sat at when you finally admitted your feelings. But none of that was important at the moment. Finnick told you about everything he had been going through since he became a victor at the age of fourteen. The man in front of you told things you could never imagine anyone to go through. Your heart broke for Finnick the more he explained and you wished you had noticed this all sooner.
You drew him in for another hug, telling him you would do anything for him. You assured him, âWe will get through this together and make sure nothing happens to you anymore. Iâm here for you, Finn. And whatever you need, you can ask me.â Finnick nodded knowingly, wiping away the tears that had fallen down your face because of his story, âI know, love. You always are.â
âI know itâs hard, but whatever happens, youâre safe and sound. With me.â You grabbed ahold of his hands and pecked his knuckles lovingly, his heart skipping a beat. A small grateful smile made its way onto his face as he drew you in closer, wrapping his arms around you while you rested your head on his chest. It was as if a weight had fallen off of his shoulder and he let out a contented sigh.
He indeed felt safe and sound. With you.

summary: you had been away on a trip for a few weeks but decided to come home earlier to surprise your boyfriend [wc: 1,8k]
genre(s): established relationship, straight-up fluff
Three weeks. That's how long it's been since you had seen your boyfriend. When you first told him about the trip more than 2 months ago, it wasn't that big of a deal. If anything Trent was urging you to go, saying that you deserved the time off and that he'd be fine by himself. You were reluctant at first, considering that you'd be gone for an entire month and that seemed a bit too much but be wouldn't budge.
"I'll come home a bit earlier I promise. There's seriously no reason for me to be gone for more than two weeks," you said, leaning back on the kitchen counter as you watched Trent rummage through the fridge.
"Just stay the full month baby, I'll be fine." He halted his rummage fest and turned to look at you with his eyebrow quirked and a smile. "Or do you think I'm incapable of being left alone?"
There was a moment of silence that passed to which he let out an amused scoff. "You're joking right?" He took a few steps closer, causing you to tighten your grip on the counter with a suppressed smile but avoiding his gaze at all costs.
You didn't think he was incapable of being left alone. He was a grown man and knew how to handle himself, but there were times when you wondered what was going on inside his head.
He was standing in front of you now, his hand snaking around your waist ever so slowly while the other tilted your chin up to look at him. Of course, he was smiling, he knew the effect he had on you all too well and made sure to use it to his advantage when needed. "Go on the trip, okay?"
"But I'll come bac--"
You were cut off with a quick peck on the lips, and then another on your cheek, and another on your forehead and another on your nose. By now you were a giggling mess, trying your best to find the strength to put some distance in between the two of you but Trent wasn't having it until you finally gave in with a reluctant sigh.
"Yes I win!"
Oh, he won alright because even at the airport when he sent you off he practically had to drag you out of the car and to the boarding gate. You met up with your friends the second you got there but never left your boyfriends side until it was time to go.
"Remember to separate the laundry- red and white should not be together at all baby. We don't want a repeat of last time," you instructed hastily and Trent nodded his head obediently as if he hadn't heard the same lecture over and over on the drive here.
"You know what just take it to the dry cleaner, it's less of a hassle."
"Okay now--"
You cut him off once again, "And make sure that you lock the doors properly, and call Jude if you need anything."
Yep. He was undoubtedly going to miss this.
"What am I saying?" you groaned in complaint and put your palm to your forehead. "Do not call Jude. He should be the last person you call if you need something important."
Trent couldn't help but laugh as he watched you endearingly, and truth be told he could watch you watch paint dry and never get bored. He knew how worried you were to leave him alone, it was the longest you two were going to be apart since you started dating 3 years ago.
So he never minded your little episodes like this whenever either of you had to leave because it was out of love and your genuine fear of him burning the house down. And it took a bit and the death stares from your group of friends to get you out of his embrace.
"Good luck with your matches okay? I'll be watching so don't mess up!" You yelled out to your boyfriend who was a blushing mess when everyone decided to turn their attention on him.
He was just about ready to leave when he saw you enter the gateway, the smile still on his face but the second he turned his back he felt a pair of arms grip around his waist.
"I love you."
"You've been staring at the same picture for the past five minutes."
Trent jolted at the sound of Virgil's voice coming up from behind him. He didn't even bother to hide the fact that he was in fact staring at the same picture you had sent him yesterday. There was no denying that he was going insane.
Sure you called whenever you had the chance and made sure to update each other throughout the day, but obviously it wasn't the same. The first week had been a breeze for Trent, but a little harder for you since it took a bit of time to settle in without his presence but it happened gradually as you got too caught up in your trip.
One week. That's how long Trent lasted, and he still had three more to go before you got back. It felt strange to come home after practice in the evening and not see you lying on the couch with your arms open for a hug, or to see you in the stands during practice with a loving smile on your face.
"Everyone in the tunnel. Let's go."
With the announcement and a pat on the shoulder from Virgil, he let out one last heavy sigh and shook away any disruptive thoughts to move his focus to the match. They were playing Fulham for the Premier League Cup today, right at Anfield which meant that he was counting on this match as a distraction.
You, on the other hand, couldn't wait for the match to be over. The stadium was booming with noise from the fans the second you entered and quietly made your way to the friends and family booth without any of the team members noticing.
"Are you serious? What are you doing here?" Virgil's wife, Rike gasped when you slid in next to her. She hurriedly pulled you into a hug and laughed in disbelief.
"I got a little homesick," you answered breathily and Rike couldn't help but give a knowing hum.
She took your hand into hers with a smile and faced the front, her eyes trailing on her husband as everyone did their warmups. "Well, you were missed just as much. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen Trent this down. I wouldn't be surprised if he cried himself to sleep."
You couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter at her last retort, knowing full well that he slept on your side of the bed just to feel somewhat closer to you. But hey, you couldn't judge him, you did the exact same thing when he was gone.
It wasn't long before the match started that you were once again fully immersed in it. Whenever you went to any of their matches you would wonder how Rike put up with your endless screaming and complaining.
"Klopp might have to sign you as manager after he retires," the older woman chuckled to herself as she watched you jump from your seat during Trent's penalty that was nothing short from perfection even though it was technically an own goal.
By halftime, Fulham was in the lead, 3-2 and you could practically feel the boys' stress radiating from the field. Rike stayed with you during half-time since you couldn't see Trent just yet, no matter how desperate you were but she did a good job at keeping you distracted.
If there was one thing you noticed, however, it was that Trent didn't bother looking up at the box once the entire game which he always did when you came to watch them play. Which for sure meant that he had no idea you were here but you were glad that his mood was lifted after he took the penalty.
It was the last 3 minutes of the game and it was tied 3-3, and you were on the edge of your seat. You were so stressed out that you had to take off your jacket even though it was anything but warm in the stadium.
You watched eagerly as the ball was passed back from the goalie, back to Darwin, all the way to Mac who finally passed it to Trent, who successfully gave Liverpool their finisher for the evening. You and Rike were beyond ecstatic and probably looked like lunatics to everyone else in the booth but that didn't matter.
When you heard the whistle blow after the additional time was over you didn't waste a second and immediately sprinted down, out the tunnel and to the field. Your brain was for sure on autopilot mode because you couldn't recall anything besides your feet carrying you to the exit.
You halted in your tracks for a moment when you felt the crisp air hit your arms, but you didn't care and needed nothing more than your boyfriend. For a split second, you made eye contact with Dom but you gave him a look and he immediately shut his mouth that was nothing short of a smile.
You took one last deep breath and somehow wove your way through the crowd to end up where Trent was talking to a member of the other team. You took your time and patiently waited behind your boyfriend until he was gone to tap his shoulder.
Trent turned around, of course, his lips pursed and his face flushed red due to the adrenaline rush. It took a moment for him to register the fact that it was actually you and not someone playing tricks on him but the second you opened up your arms he was at a loss for words.
"Are you just going to stare at me or-- ah!"
The latter. Definitely the latter.
Before you knew it, you were engulfed in one of the tightest hugs you've ever experienced. You couldn't help but melt at the familiar feeling of being in Trent's embrace, knowing that you missed it way more than you originally thought.
Trent pulled away from the hug to get a better look at you, completely disregarding the screams from the fans as well as the cameras that were going off. He didn't care because all he saw was you. All he wanted was you.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were only coming back next week," he said exasperated and put his hands on your bare arms.
You gave him a simple shrug in response. "Why would I want to see the Eiffel Tower for another week when I could come home and be with you instead?"
That was enough to bring a cheeky smile to Trent's face, "It was that boring huh?" He took your hand into his and led you into the tunnel where everyone else was.
His eyes wandered adoringly over your features, taking the time to fully let your presence sink in. He didn't admit it but he for sure was not going to let you leave him for more than a week from now on. If you wanted to go on a trip then he'd be more than happy to tag along, but no way was he going to suffer again.
"Did you take my Jersey with you?" His question made you look down at the red Liverpool Jersey you were wearing, his number flaunted at the back.
"What? Just because I was watching your matches from a hotel room does not mean that I'm not gonna dress accordingly babe."
Trent gave your hand a light squeeze. "Oh I love a supportive girlfriend."
You lightly scoffed and turned your head to the front, where you saw Curtis and Ibou making fun of Harvey, probably about his height judging by the way they were pretending not to see him.
"I know you called Jude."
Trent's eyes widened a fraction, "It wasn't for anything serious!"

Summary/Author's Note: You are right there when Suho opens his eyes. (The one where Suho woke up because I said so.)
The hospital room was filled with dusk and quiet, the only noise the sounds of your breathing and the gentle steady beeping of Suho's life support machine. Moonlight peered through the gap in the drawn curtains, trying to find Suho where he lay still on the white bed, always unmoving, where before he had never stopped.
You couldn't bear to pull them closed all the way, didn't want to close the room into complete darkness in case he woke up and couldn't see. Just in case he was afraid.
Suho was never afraid of anything. Before he had gone to find Beomseok, he had kissed you carefully, squeezed your hand and promised he'd be right back, confidence lining his shoulders and grinning back at you from behind his eyes.
And then he wound up here, barely alive, barely breathing. You didn't realise before now that you could be choked by your own heart.
Sieun came and went, always silent, always a gentle hand on your shoulder and nothing else. Yeongi pleaded for forgiveness for something that wasn't even her fault and Beomseok stayed away. If he hadn't, you would have taken his eyes.
You reached down to shuffle your chair closer to the bed and carefully slipped your hand into Suho's, clearing your throat to keep from crying. You always stifled tears when his grandma was with him, and it had become habit. You silently begged him to open his beautiful big eyes and look at you again, the way you used to beg him not to stare at you because it made you blush.
But he liked making you blush too much to stop his staring.
You didn't realise you were crying anyway, despite your efforts, until the hand you were holding slowly lifted to clumsily swipe at the tears, cleaning your face.
"Jagi..."
Your head snapped up and your fingers closed reflexively tighter around Suho's hand as you stared, stunned, at his slowly opening eyes. Your bottom lip began quivering and he gently shook his hand free of yours to press it to your jaw and drag his thumb over the tremble.
"Yah" he said softly, his voice hoarse from underuse. "I'm here."
Fresh tears spilled over your lashes, rendering them wet and spiky. Suho smiled, his dark eyes warming.
"Ah" he murmured. "You missed me, huh?"

Hii I love your work and I have this idea for a while so I hope that you could write it!!
Could you maybe do like based on the last video from Beta, the one in the hotel, where like your a guest and thereâs like alove connection with one of the members.
I would really love if it could be like Niko or Chunkz but you write with who you want!!!
Summary: You thought you'd signed up for a chaotic night at a YouTuber-run hotel, but instead, you ended up being flirted into a four-course crush by Chunkz with special room service, dessert, and all.
Pairing: Chunkz x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Masterlist
You didn't expect much when your friend surprised you with a last-minute night at a "five-star hotel" run by YouTubers. Honestly, it sounded chaotic. But you went along, suitcase in hand, rolling up to the front desk where Niko and Kenny were already bickering over who had to handle the next guest complaint.
Your check-in was clumsy at best. Kenny handed you a room key, while Niko with his dead serious exprression while he offered a foot massage "for special guests only." You laughed it off, amused but not exactly hopeful, and headed upstairs.
Only to find that Niko had confidently given you a keycard to a room already occupied by a family of four.
You stood in the hallway awkwardly, reevaluating your life choices and adding this moment to your top ten most embarrassing experiences of all time.
Deciding you'd had enough, you wandered back downstairs to the kitchen area Niko had said was "open 24/7" hoping to at least grab a snack while you sorted things out.
And then, he walked in.
Chunkz. Of course you weren't expecting him. Not like that.
He strolled in beside Aj, both of them standing behind the restaurant counter like they belonged in a Michelin-starred kitchen. Aj looked focused, surprisingly serious. Chunkz was laughing at something Aj said, his energy calm but magnetic. You had to give it to him, he looked like he was really trying, taking this whole fake hotel gig more seriously than you'd expected.
And then he looked up.
His eyes met yours, just for a second. Then he smiled, lazy and confident like he already knew how your night was going to end.
"You lost? Or you just came here for me?" Chunkz asked strolling your way with that smug, teasing grin.
"I'm still having problems with my room. The receptionist may have made a mistake..." You said with a shrug.
"I'll show you up, don't want you running into any more... surprises" Chunkz offered, already turning to walk with you, flashing another grin.
"One of the receptionists told me I could come down here anytime" You added, glancing toward the kitchen.
"We're closed for now, it opens again later" Aj cut in.Â
"Why are those two setting us up, man?!" Aj said to the camera.
"Those schmucks probably did it on purpose" Chunkz said, not sounding the least bit mad about it.Â
"But I don't mind helping you out" Chunkz added with a small smile.
AJ muttered something about "betraying the team" as you followed Chunkz to the lift, tension crackling like static. You weren't blind, he was handsome, obviously but it was how he carried himself. Smooth. Effortless. That kind of charm that made you feel like the only person in the room when he spoke to you.
"So, what brings you to the Beta Hotel?" Chunkz asked as the elevator doors closed.
"Needed a break, didn't think I'd be walking into a reality show" You replied, laughing softly.
"We take hospitality very seriously here" Chunkz said with a grin.Â
"You might even get a serenade at dinner" Chunkz added.
"You sing?" You raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
"I do a lot of things" Chunkz replied smoothly, his gaze flicking briefly to your mouth before darting away.Â
"But only for the right guests" Chunkz added.
Your new room was cleaner, tucked in a quiet corner of the hotel. Chunkz handed you a keycard Aj had found back in one of the tables in the restaurant, one of the master keys, if his smirk was anything to go by. His fingers brushed yours, lingering longer than necessary.
"If you're coming down to dinner" Chunkz said, voice a little softer now,Â
"Let me know, I'll save you a seat" Chunkz added.
"Only if you're serving" You replied, leaning against the doorframe.
"Then I guess I'll see you tonight" Chunkz said as he stepped back slowly, like he wasn't quite ready to leave.
Then came dinner.
You hadn't planned on flirting. You hadn't planned on smiling at your phone every time he cracked a joke over dinnerÂ
Dinner turned into a long conversation. Chunkz brought your plate himself, ignored AJ's annoyed looks, and kept coming back to your table like you were a VIP guest.
By dessert, you weren't even hungry. You were laughing too much. Leaning closer. Watching his hands. His grin. The low, smooth confidence in his voice that made you forget you were in a hotel run by chaos.
At the end of the night, he walked you back to your room. The hallway was quiet. But his voice was warm in your ear as you stopped outside your door.Â
"You sure this is your room?" Chunkz teased, silent referral with the room confusion earlier.
"Wanna check?" You said as you glanced at him.Â
"You're trouble" Chunkz said as he chuckled, eyes flicking to your lips before rising back to meet your eyes.
"And you're serving me a four-course flirt" You said, smiling.
Something electric hung in the air between you. Then, he gently tucked the keycard into your hand that must have slipped from your hand.
"Goodnight, beautiful" Chunkz murmured.Â
"Sleep tight, breakfast's on me in the morning" Chunkz added.
You watched him walk away, already wondering what you'd order.Â
Probably him.Â
And you definitely hadn't planned on leaning against your hotel door later that night when he brought up your dessert himself with tray in hand and that same damn smile on his lips.
"Just wanted to make sure your night ended sweet" Chunkz murmured, gaze locking onto yours for a second too long.
And somehow, one night didn't feel like enough anymore.
////_////_////_////
Chunkz was still smiling when he made it back to the kitchen, fingers warm from where they'd brushed yours. He didn't usually get caught up like this, but you? You were different. Sharp. Unbothered. Playful. The kind of woman who could flirt without trying and still leave him speechless.
He barely made it two steps inside before Aj clocked him.
"Ohhh, so you really walked her to her room, yeah?" Aj teased as he leaned against the prep counter, grinning.Â
"That's mad, man gave full escort service" Aj said as he laughed.
"Customer service is important, bro" Chunkz said as he smirked, trying to play it cool.
"Customer service? Bro, that woman earlier asked you to join her in the room multiple times yet you turned her down multiple times too" Aj said with a raised eyebrow yet the smile isn't leaving his face.
"She's too old for me, fam. What's with these old horny women anyways?" Chunkz said.
"She had cougar confidence" Aj said as he cackled.Â
"Then ten minutes later, you're out here walking the baddest guest we've had all night to her room? Nah, I rate it. Man's got range" Aj said, expression amused.
Chunkz rolled his eyes, but a faint pink crept up his ears.
"I invited her to breakfast, actually" Chunkz said with a smug smile.
"Room service and breakfast?" Aj said as he dramatically gasped.Â
"You moving like a whole staycation package" Aj said.
Chunkz tried not to smile. Tried. Failed. You'd thrown him off his game but in a way he didn't mind at all.
"She's fire though" Aj added, sounding more like a proud wingman now.Â
"I saw her walk in and I knew you jokeman was gonna clock her straight away. The way you dropped that dessert tray? Embarrassing" Aj said, smirking.
"It was one tray, relax. I was distracted" Chunkz said, giving Aj a brief side eye.
"Props though, you were trying to be respectful by costing our team to lose" Aj said.
"Yeah, well, don't let Kenny or Niko find out. Kenny's already asking if he can help with room service tomorrow" Aj added.
"Over my dead body" Chunkz said as gave him a look.Â
"Mans already acting like it's his hotel wife" Aj laughed.
Chunkz just smiled to himself, slowly rolling a towel between his fingers. The thought of you upstairs and maybe still thinking about him, had him already looking forward to breakfast duty.
Yeah, he'd be there.
Fresh shirt, and best cologne.
And maybe, just maybe, dessert before noon.

synopsis â headcanons on how the boys of whc2 would kiss you ^^
pairing/s â sieun x reader, suho x reader, baku x reader, gotak x reader, juntae x reader, baekjin x reader, seongje x reader
a/n â no hyoman despite the photo used, obviously not writing for a sexual harasser on here. love the actor tho!
sieunâs kisses are quiet, like everything he doesâcalculated, meticulous, but the impact lingers. he pauses first, eyes searching yours for confirmation, always making sure. âjust for a second,â he murmurs, brushing his thumb beneath your jaw. si-eunâs not the type to make a big deal out of it, but when he leans in, itâs with the kind of care that makes your heart ache. his fingers trail down from your jaw to the back of your ear, tentative, like heâs scared heâll break something if he moves too fast. âstay still,â he murmurs, voice low, like heâs focusing too hard. and when your lips meet, itâs feather-light but grounding, like heâs anchoring himself in the feeling of you. and for just a second, you feel like youâre the only thing in his world.
suho kisses you like itâs the most natural thing in the world. like breathing, like blinking. he grins as he leans down, arms loose around your waist, and you feel the warmth radiating off him even before his lips touch yours. âyouâre staring,â he teases, his voice barely above a whisper. âyou gonna kiss me or just keep looking?â and when you do, he laughs into the kiss, light and carefree, his hand slipping up the back of your neck, pulling you just a little closer. âthere,â he says, smug. âmuch better.â
bakuâs grinning before he even kisses you. leans in like heâs about to tell you a secret, lips brushing yours once, twice, then pulling back with a little laugh when you chase him. âmissed me?â he teases, but when heâs kissing you for realâitâs slower, deeper, more serious than you expect. his handâs at your hip, fingers curling through your belt loop like he doesnât want you going anywhere. âyouâre mine now, you know that?â he murmurs, still smiling, but itâs softer now. the kind that makes your stomach flip in the best way.
gotakâs kiss is slow and reassuring, the kind of kiss that makes you feel like everything is going to be okay. heâs calm and deliberate, pulling you closer with a gentleness that contrasts with his usual boyish disposition. his lips move against yours with a soft rhythm, and his hand rests on the back of your head, pressing you in just a little closer.
âyouâre safe with me,â he murmurs, his thumb brushing over your cheek, and you can feel the sincerity in his words, as though heâs silently promising to protect you.
juntaeâs so nervous you can practically feel it in the way his fingers twitch near yours. âcan iâuh, is it okay if iâŚ?â he trails off, face already red, and you have to smile because heâs so damn sweet. when he finally kisses you, itâs hesitant, a soft press of lips like heâs afraid youâll disappear. but the second time, when you kiss him back, he relaxes. his hand comes up to cup your cheek, and itâs deeper, more sure. âthat wasnât⌠too weird, right?â he asks, voice sheepish. you shake your head and laugh. he kisses you again, smiling this time.
baekjinâs kiss is unexpected, full of intensity and passion. he doesnât waste time with hesitationâhis lips crash into yours with a fervor that surprises you, as though heâs been holding back for too long. his hands grip your waist, pulling you in as if he doesnât want to let go. thereâs something urgent, something desperate in the way he kisses you, but it softens as you respond, and for once, he allows himself to give in to the moment.
âdonât pull away,â he murmurs softly against your lips, his breath shaky, and as his thumb gently brushes your cheek, you can feel the blood rushing through his veins, telling you everything heâs too afraid to say.
seongje is impulsive, and his kiss is no different. he doesnât ask for permission, he just goes for it, his hand slips around your wrist, pulling you in close, and he doesnât hesitateâhis lips crash into yours with a reckless kind of intensity that leaves you breathless. itâs wild and spontaneous, the kind of kiss that catches you off guard, but you can feel the deep emotion behind it, the rawness in the way he holds you. he pulls away with a smirk, looking at you like heâs just gotten away with something.
âyou didnât see that coming, did you?â his grin is a mix of mischief and a crazy, magnetic attraction to you.
