I've seen a lot of people talk about how John is definitely a bottom and Bob is a top but let me put in my two cents

They are both switches, easily!

With how much pent up anger John has I feel like sex is his one way of letting it out, it lets him be rough when he needs it. But he also has days where he wants to be taken care of, to be told how well he is doing.

And for Bob, I honestly feel like Bob himself is a bottom for the same reason as John. He wants someone to take control and pleasure him. But when Bob feels the sentry, that God complex creeping up...he is 100% topping John. And I mean leaving his legs like jello sort of top.

In conclusion, I 100% they are both switches.

I headcanon Danse has environmental agoraphobia post blind betrayal.

In a close space he at least knows he can’t be fully ambushed. There are limited spaces and ways to maneuver, control of your surroundings is key to him. Open spaces lead to problems. So many angles of attack, too many things to scan for and too many things to keep track of. He prefers to set perimeters and keep them, he’s reconnaissance not a patrol guy.

He likely has to wear his power armor less to realistically maintain it without the tech from the Prydwen. He’d be in basic armor and much less defended when he’s questing with the Sole Survivor. Danse would feel so exposed and less intimidating despite his physique. He’s used to towering over enemies and plowing through them in his armor. He’s no slouch in a fight but it’s much easier to damage to him. Much harder for him to defend his allies.

I think he’d be visibly uncomfortable and tense out in the open. You can tell he’s trying to hide it but his eyes are always darting and he can’t stop checking over his shoulder.
