Some meatures generate in stages. Graboid is such a meature. Stage one Graboid, aka “Purble Peanut, Baby-Boid, Grab-Nut, Wrinkly Chihuahua-lookin’ ass (affectionate)” is the size of a 33lb dog. It only has its 4 set of arms and was very weak until it molted into stage 2. It also had baby chub.

Stage 3 is the final iteration of Graboid, the one seen currently.
