I feel so stupid. I just realised why Zelda in botw doesn't immediately gain her power.

It's because she wants the power and not realising she also needs the knowledge/wisdom to GAIN the power.

Like how Mipha was trying to tell her how her own powers awakened but got interrupted by Calamity Ganon - directly stopping her from getting the knowledge on how to get her power in a similar way.

Or how her father (fuck you Rhoam you oversized bitch. you knock-off Santa Claus I hope someone sprays you with holy water like a misbehaving cat) limits her study of the Sheikah tech, which has been seen to go hand-in-hand with Hylia's power.

replaying botw at the minute and i know the joke is done to death but picturing zelda watching him do the absolute stupidest shit for months on end while she resisted ganon is so funny to me. like she’s been fighting for her life for 100 years but he’s just decided to fist fight a chicken (and lose??). and she still moved in with him after. insane
