I just have to reblog this again on my main account. I’ve scrolled up to the very first thread, read all the shared words and appreciation, and I crumbled. I’ve never seen quite a fandom like this. It’s simply beautiful and I just feel happy to be here.

i debated for the longest time whether or not i'd do this. it's been a time. i've not created for fandom in what feels like ages and am truly going through the motions over my place here but, no matter what, there are people whose talent, wisdom, kindness and friendship keep my days bright and my spirits high.

so here's a (very incomplete, i started with ten fics and it just kept growing) shamelessly biased rec list. i picked one fic per category only but the way i see it, this is one author per category, to celebrate the many different ways we all write love. This part right here, and the entirety of the story destroyed me in every possible way. All those unspoken words and in-betweens, oh dear. Also, utterly glad to find kbrick’s post because they’ve nailed all the words I wanted to say about it. Dear @emsuemsu, you weren’t kidding about the hinny/ drarry dynamics here. And the last part. Devastating.

Skybound: Chapter One

Summary: No matter how much Harry Potter wanted to believe he’d left danger behind when the war ended, it found him again anyway. All he had to do was step out his own front door on a Tuesday morning. A Drarry re-imagining of Howl’s Moving Castle.

This story is completely written, edited, and ready to roll out! New chapters post Tuesdays and Fridays.

Notes: This love letter to one of my favorite stories was long in the making. While it was easy to envision Harry and Draco as Sophie and Howl, it was something of a challenge to translate the plot into the HP-verse while keeping the romance and humor that make Howl’s Moving Castle so beloved. In the end, I took my favorite parts of the film and Diana Wynne Jones’ novel, cut them into little triangles, and sewed them back together again. I hope the finished product still has some magic in it.
