― Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
The silent light of God's Mercy
(in the radiance of Your presence
my heart was filled with ardour)
I'll never forget the laughter we shared that night;
Or the sting from your bite,
Maybe in another life..
I miss you.
As day breaks
Dream in ether
An old abandoned dog
Against the test of time,
My devotion forever bound
My loyalty always true.
An old abandoned hound
You weigh heavy on this dog.
Your call never left my mind,
Only faded by the fog.
I still wait for you.
You sit and watch me choke But somehow I’m still needing you.
