You know you’re in deep when you start comparing your friends to characters from books or/and anime.

not sure who noticed, but in this dock scene, you can just see RD takes a little step closer to AJ and this is a small little thing my Appledasher brain adores knowing of.

Yamaguchi’s character gets a lot of depth when you understand why he throws  praises at Tsukishima left and right when you think about that he used to be a victim to bullying. He probably didn’t have a lot friends and his peers didn’t compliment him much. His bullies did the exact opposite, tearing him down with physical abuse and awful comments about things he couldn’t even change. So when Yamaguchi and Tsukishima became friends, Yamaguchi decided to make his friend feel well and happy, and the only way he knew how to do so; was to do the opposite his bullies did to him. So instead of tearing him down with physical and emotional abuse, he threw compliments and interest about anything Tsukishima did. He defend Tsukishima when others egg him, becuse he never had anyone to ever back him up. It annoys Tsukishima, probably until Tsukishima got tired of them and is indifferent to a lot of Yama’s everyday compliments, hence is ‘care’ attitude towards Yamaguchi’s praises. 

But Yamaguchi choose to be kind, because he knew there are people out there who isn’t.
