Facts About Stars
Stars are only visible at night. If you tried to look at them during the day, it would be pointless. Of course, there’s always the sun, but the sun shines far too brightly to be safe to look at.
As beautiful as stars are, you can only behold that beauty at night, in the darkness.
Stars give off heat. They are overwhelmingly hot. No man should ever dream of touching a star. Only the highest of fools would ever dare to wish they could hold one, yet I am the universes court jester.
Stars don’t twinkle in space. They only do so through the atmosphere of a planet. If the atmosphere were to disappear, the twinkling would be gone. I’m glad I get to see them from where I do, with rose-coloured glasses crafted by the universe.
Stars are born from within the clouds of space dust scattered throughout the galaxies. Nebulae. Nebulae are beautiful in their own ways. Colorful, misty, taking whatever shape they desire as they dance though whichever galaxy they reside in.
But I prefer stars.
I’ll always prefer stars.
what i mean is, i hate when creators of a piece of media confirm something in the canon of the media, like for example a character stating “i love the color red,” and then the creator coming out on twitter or an interview or something later and saying “actually that character HATES red,” even if there’s direct evidence of the character loving red.
this is mostly about the fact that one of the arcane creators “confirmed” that sky and viktor were childhood friends, despite the only “evidence” of that being that they made eye contact once as children. if they were actually friends they’d have interacted in a friendlier way. but they didn’t, their interactions were all very hollow.
there are other examples too, but that’s the one i’m most annoyed about rn. i hate retcons. stop retconning things to make them canon. if you want something to be canon in your story, make it canon (if you can), and at the very least don’t canonically confirm the exact opposite of what you want to be canon.
if i wanted a character in a book i’m theoretically writing to be black, i wouldn’t describe them as being pale and having white features. i then DEFINITELY wouldn’t go on twitter years later and “confirm” that they were black the whole time (cough cough jkr).
anyways. stop confirming things in the laziest way possible. also stop getting mad at people for not taking the creator’s words into account when those words are bullshit. thanks.
@commonsenseyouneedit hey. it’s a fictional ship. calm down. if someone not liking a ship makes you THIS upset i think you need to log off the internet for a while. also, “they’re made for each other ur just a hater grr!” is not a good argument.
i was doing edibles outside in the rain this morning, and i accidentally dropped one onto the ground.
since i was already high, i kinda just… stared at it. i didn’t even bother to pick it back up.
the rain hit the exposed surface of it in an almost melodic manner. i watched as it got more and more soaked.
eventually, the rain stopped, and i was still staring at the fallen edible.
a little ant crawled over to it, and broke off a piece. then, it left, presumably to bring it back to its colony.
i wondered if ants could process drugs in the same way humans do. i doubted it, but i gave it some thought.
what if the ant brought the piece of the edible back to its colony, and they all got super high? what if they became enlightened??
that happened to a friend of mine, once.
Avery Bourne. we met back in high school. he was the guy who got me into this stuff in the first place.
one day, we were sitting at his place eating the edibles he had made, like normal. but then, all of a sudden, he began to scream.
he said he had seen god.
he had seen god, and god had seen him, too. he said god had talked to him, in a language he could no longer comprehend.
Avery said… he said we were all just bugs. just bugs compared to what’s truly out there.
he ran away that night. i never saw him again.
i look back down to the edible on the ground, and i see a bunch of ants, just standing there.
looking at me.
…maybe i should quit for good.
