what do you mean "Thursday".
this website’s easy watch. *dangles a bunch of greek gods like keys*
I've not heard this version before, but it's impossible to mistake the core melody. Remarkably rich mixing, though. Guessing this is a fan cover.
yuuki konno is genuinely such an important character to me
like i don't talk about her often but frankly that's mostly because im struggling with how to phrase it more than anything
there's just something about her as a character within the greater narrative of sao
like there's this dumb criticism some people have against sao where they'll call it a power fantasy and kirito an op mary sue protagonist but then there's yuuki
zekken. the absolute sword. this girl whose introduction is simply "she's the best at it". no gimmicks. no tricks. no "buts". she just wins
and this is never challenged
and it can't be challenged ever again, because she dies, even though she never loses
yuuki konno, doomed from birth, optimistic despite herself, despite the world she can no longer exist in. and without even knowing she laid the groundwork for an entire new world of people she'll never meet, but helped create regardless
there's no overpowered protagonist at the top. there never was. that spot forever belongs to a terminally ill lesbian girl who tried to live as much as she could before her time ran out all too quickly
+1 for Heroforge. It's got a surprisingly broad range - I've used it for everything from Halfing Rogues to cold-war Magical Girls.
“but AI art lets me create my OCs!” YOU WILL USE PICREW AS GOD INTENDED
Found a six leaf clover pressed in a book from 1902.
Round my way, getting off the bus you thank the driver. "Cheers, Drive". It's such a cultural keystone that when they built a new bus station in the town center, there was a petition to name the street it was on "Cheers Drive".
If you take the bus, wave to the driver and thank them as you're getting off the bus.
Being a bus driver is an underappreciated and difficult job but still very vital to society. They still have to do customer service and deal with rude and even aggressive passengers, and on top of that have to deal with traffic and other drivers all day (and let's face it, there's a lot of bad drivers out there who aren't considerate about sharing the road). All while providing an invaluable service of getting us where we need to go. Showing them some appreciation can go a long ways for someone doing such an important job that usually gets little to no recognition or thanks.
Art forgery is the best crime tbh. It requires absolutely incredible artistic talent, technical skill, and attention to detail to make convincing fakes. Does anyone get hurt from it? No! The only people who suffer for it are the extremely wealthy who want the prestige of having original paintings in their own homes. It’s full of international intrigue and mystery. Perfect.
accel world is so hard to explain
like it just sounds incredibly contrived out of context
which sucks because it's genuinely fascinating once you get into it
Man I love Unital Ring.
Just- the simple symbolism and themes. It's protecting the house and giving back to it that forms the basis of everything else. Kirito and Asuna never abandon their relationship, we all know that, but the addition of Alice and the question of time and damage from the Underworld make the audience wonder. Are the old wounds healed? Are the doubts from Moon Cradle addressed?
Yes. The house is damaged, but standing, and it's the help of everyone to bring it back to it's full strength. Liz and Silica believe in the strength of their friends; and Yui the love of her parents. It's the sacrifice of one of Kirito's swords that gives them the tools they need to go further, and the journey to help a friend that finishes the job as Sinon brings the last ingredients to help and the aid to protect their home. With her coming and completing the home, a cabin in the woods begins it's transformation to Rua na Rig.
We all know the old yarn. For want of a nail, the horseshoe was lost. For want of a shoe, the messenger was lost. For want of a messenger, the battle was lost. For want of a battle, the war was lost.
Here, though? Now?
For love of a wife, the bear was fought. For love of a family, the raiders were fought. For love of a friend, a wall was crossed. For love of a home, a town was born. For love of a town, the witch was fought.
The next book of Unital Ring is coming out soon. I, for one, want to see what else Reki thinks love might build.
I misread this as "fanfic can be as good as professional wrestling", and that seemed rather unkind to everyone involved.
At some point "fanfic can be as good as professional writing" became "fanfic should be as good as professional writing" and that's caused major damage to fandom spaces.
I think my first fandom fandom exposure was arguably livejournal, but before that I was in a university RPG society, and before that I was making a weekly pilgrimage to Games Workshop to play games and talk about games, so I think "local club" is an honest answer, also this sentence is too long and must end soon.
